Hey guys I asked Veranda man to mail my kids a postcard on Sunday - we got it today - it is agreat postcard and it was signed your pal Mickey. The 9 year old loved it - the 11 year old can't admit that it is cool but some of you with younger kids might want to do this.

Well I am too tired to be feisty. I am very ready for a vacation, but just the thought of packing for 6 people makes me cringe. ( could be why I havent done it, huh?) Is it November 27th yet?

Denise - I'm cringing & I only have to pack for myself & dd; dh does his own. However, I'll have to help him to ensure he doesn't end up w/ 3 suitcases just for him! Yeap, this is what happened for our 9/4 cruise. Thank goodness we cancelled.

The funny thing is that it took him 2 wks to unpack - LOL!

I picked up my docs today & I can't believe the sailing date is around the corner!

I'm getting way too many visual images of you....in the snow white get up with high heels ......hugging and kissing the UPS guy oh, and I almost forgot, with a gaggle of kids on your heel........Stephanie must be a good woman.

Well, I have to say...everyone has been VERY busy 'round here lately! What with all the chasing of the UPS man, getting on the evening news and dancing up a storm over cruise documents, whew! I'm tired! And I've only been gone for a day! Good thing I checked out "our" board before DH and I left for Phoenix...we'll be gone 'til Monday-can't imagine how much reading I'll have to do to catch up! I would appreciate any prayers and good thoughts my way as we have a difficult family situation (DH's family, not to be confused with my fun-lovin' cruise-going family) to deal with; I'm also going to an important doctor's appointment on Friday and hoping for a change of treatment to better deal with my chronic back pain issue that's been going on for a year now. Needless to say, I'll be glad to come home to y'all!

Oh, yeah...just don't tell my luggage that it's not cruisetime yet! DH couldn't believe that I had to unpack my "cruise" suitcase ("it's not for like a month!") to pack for this weekend's trip! Guilty as charged!

*wonders how in the world she's going to pack all her
"cruisewear" and decides regrettably to leave the glass slippers at home*

I love you guys already from reading all these posts! I can't wait to throw back a couple cocktails with you aboard the Magic! Curt, I totally know what Steph goes through....I'm the only female in my house and feel like I have 3 boys at times.

Ivy, keeping you and your DH's family in my thoughts and prayers. Hope the Dr. appt. helps you and your ailing back. We need you in prime shape for the cruise woman!

Denise - I'm in the same "boat" with two small boys and one BIG boy things are always hectic at our house and I am the only one who knows where everything is. (sound familiar?). I am really looking forward to meeting all of you guys in person! I woke up this morning and thought to myself - 14 more days and I am on Vacation yeah!!!!. Popvich--I didn't have any luck on the autograph book at Staples or the craft store. I know Borders and Barnes & Noble sell them, but they are a bit pricey. I also found an interesting website on how to make a "Disney" autograph book:

I'm not sure if it fits your needs, but it's a thought.

We watched our videos from the cruise last night - so cute to see the girls - they look so young then!! and the tree lighting was fantastic!

went shopping last night for new clothes for the cruise and got some cool shoes - convinced dh to wear his suit, makes him look like the mobster or a priest - for formal night, may let the girls wear their princess costumes and they will all be dressed up!

Forgot to let the cruise line know that this is for our 10th anniversary - has anyone done the REAS package before and would suggest it?

feeling very slack over not making lime green mickeys yet!!

i have the neatest autograph book, but it was quite pricey!

It is a mini scrapbook that i made through Creative Memories - i got the disney scrapbook and their "snapack" for disney - i made the entire album in like 1 1/2 hours and now can have the kids pictures iwth the character right with the autograph on the other page - so cool!

if anyone is interested in it - let me know - a friend of mine is a consultant and I can have her mail you the stuff - it is so neat!

i made my dh a separate album from our cruise last year for father's day - he loved it!

Hi all, i've finally made some green Mickey heads, there not great but they were made in a hurry, just a green head with the Dis wrote on it, will that be ok??
Made a door sign too and stuck a green Mickey head on that, just made it on the computor, just havent got time for anything more elaborate!!!
Went to the doctor with DD today & water infection has cleared up, but she has to stay on a low dose antibiotic while were in Florida & go back after the holls, DD & i gotta go and have a load of injections Tuesday tetnus, polio, mosquito & hepitius, not looking forward to that!!!
Spent loads of money on last minuete bits, toiletries etc, this week has been mad, work, college, school meetings, college placement & trying to pack!!! DH has been ill all week with a nasty virus, just praying me or DD dont come down with it (so sympathetic arnt i )

Curts - glad you got your docs, i was starting to worry for you, you gave me such a laugh reading your posts, cant wait to meet you all.

aprilriddle - thanks for the info, sounds like i get this form when we land at the airport, just hope they let me in the country!!!

tracey--I'm glad everything is okay with your DD. I'm looking at all of this pre-cruise stress as a blessing--it makes me appreciate the stress-free (okay, less-stress) cruise. I haven't even started on green Mickey heads yet--I've got some in my car and will probably laminate them since I had to buy a box (not just one sheet) of laminating material to make I.D. bracelets for 3- and 4-year old in case, God forbid, they get lost at the airport. I'm trying to figure out a way of legally tethering them to me--apparently they frown on duct taping them to your back.

What a GREAT idea! I was going to head on down to DL this week to pick up some autograph books (the ones with the photo & space to sign)...i might just do what you did.
