Amanda - we will be in Disney World from Tuesday morning til we cruise - I think we are staying at Animal Kingdom - that is where we want to stay at least.

Kim - we used a transportation company last year and it was a limo service that ended up per person the same amount as the travel cost from the hotel - plus we were in style - that was the great part - the girls loved the limo!!

We were on the same cruise last year and had the APL rotation and loved it - we went to Palo on Wednesday and dinner was fabulous! Can't wait to go again!

High tea? Is that something I can join - i so want to do this and don't have anyone to go with . . .

I think there are other people from NC on this - We live outside Charlotte in Mooresville - my dh is in racing, so this is the place to be!! He works on one of the teams and finishs his ten month season the week before - we so need this vacation!

We were also on last year's cruise. We had 22 people in all. This year only 6 of us. I'm sure you recall the cold sailaway and the wild day at sea coming back from St Thomas. Hopefully, this year we will avoid all that!

The ship will be fully decorated for Christmas when we board. Big tree in the atrium, and decorations throughout the public areas on the ship. It is really beautiful. On the first or second night they will have a tree lighting ceremony about 8pm, with all the characters, fake snow, etc. There is also a large gingerbread house that they decorate through the week sitting in the hallway between the atrium and the Promonade Bar. CC also was decorated, including the dock area. We really enjoy sailing this time of year because of the decorations.

izzinmac. wow that sounds beautiful, theres so much to take in on this holiday i forget there will decorations. I've just sat and watched 'Wishes' on the 'wdwinfo' site & it still makes me cry goodness knows what i will be like when i'm actualy there!!

Tracy, that would be great - i would love to have high tea with you - what part of England are you from? My mom and her whole family are from Essex, but have lived here since 1968. My grandmother would be tickled for me to have tea w/ you -

The ship and CC were both in their festive holiday splendor - it was beautiful and there was even a special tree lighting one night - i wasn't sure if that was something they did every cruise or not, but wow - the decorations were gorgeous! ONe of our best family pictures ever was on the formal night !!

Welcome Wendyleigh!! I can tell by your posts that you are a little excited to have found this site. It's great isn't it? We were also on that Rockin' and Rollin' cruise last November. It was our first DCL cruise and we're going back for another - it was so GREAT.

Have you read all 50 pages of posts? That could take weeks.

In case you didn't get to everything ..... we're have a DIS meet on boarding day at 3:00 at the Overlook Bar on Deck 10. Hope to see you there.

Kim and fellow tea lovers. Need to make reservations just like the rest of the Palo events. I know in the past the tea was the hardest reservation to get - few openings and high demand. Back then it was free, so they had a lot of no shows. I think now they charge $5 per person. That may have slowed down the demand and make it easier to get reservations. Regardless, probably someone who gets to the port early should make reservations as soon as possible.
