Hi Everyone! Lot's of activity now that we are so close to sailing!

I have been working on our door sign for the cruise, is anyone else doing a sign? I put a lime green Mickey head at the bottom of the sign.

For our excursions we are doing beach days at St Maarten & St Thomas and Glass Bottom boat at Castaway Cay. Not much you can do with 3 & 5 year olds! But they love the beach so it should be great! We booked through Disney, I have this fear of the ship leaving without us!


I hope the kids love the clubs, hubby & I are looking forward to some alone time. We prebooked our Palo brunch, Palo dinner, and our couples massage. We have early seating for dinner.


Went to Party City the other day and got Pirate stuff for the kids to dress up with on Pirate night! I also made gift baskets with sand toys and misc stuff for a surprise from Mickey when they get to the cabin! Now I must find a way to pack all this stuff and clothes for 3 days at Disney and 7 days at sea! Wish me luck!

OK must go do some work now!

Wow ... we certainly are getting excited about our cruise. This thread is getting very active.

dzneprincess - we're also experienced cruisers. This will be our 2nd on DCL and my DH and I have cruised on lots of other lines. Can you tell that we love cruising?

dzneprincess - We'll send your son a note from my DS5. He can't read or write yet so I'll be doing the typing.

Any other 5-7 year olds that want a pen pal ... with my DS5 Matt? I would love to exchange pictures so the kids feel they know each other. My son is not going to go to the club without a buddy.

Someone (sorry - too far back to find it) suggested a large Mickey Head that we use for Door Tag. I think it's a GREAT idea but it might need to be a big one for this group. Are you (whoever you are) going to make it? If not, I can try it.

I'm making magnets for our door. Does anyone feel wierd putting their kids' names on the door? I didn't until someone mentioned it on another thread. So now I can't decide whether or not to put the names on it.

I'm not sure how I'll do my Mickey Heads yet ..... just use the Home Depot ones (and write on them) or do something on the computer and print it. But I think I'll so some luggage tags (for first day's carry ons) and something to pin or stick on.

Hi NJCruiser - I put all of our names on the door magnet since my DS-9 has a terrible sense of direction and I am hoping he won't have any problems recognizing our names and the door magnet I made.

I'm putting our kids' names on the signs. I think I'd be more hesitant if it wasn't a DCL cruise, but I figure it's mostly families onboard. We have an extended group we're traveling with (40+ people/kids) and I want to make sure everyone knows which room is ours.

NJ Cruisers: We've put our children's names on the sign as well. I agree with you, dtuleya--I'm none too worried on a Disney ship. Also, none of our kids look like the Disney characters on the sign. There are times our kids act like Goofy and Puumba, but that's where the resemblence stops.
