11/26/2011 EARLY Bananahead reunions cruise

Happy monday everyone,

well yesterday I was shopping ALL day and got all my groceries accept cream:guilty: Greg will get me some after work tonight. I filled the entire crew cab truck we have, bags were stacked 2 and 3 deep:lmao:

I am 97% done with Christmas shopping too.
Today I will wrap what I have bought and we will get our mini tree put up tonight so I can put them under it and get them off the table so Greg has somewhere to eat.;)

Then I need to finish filling out my Christmas cards and put them in the mail box. It will be after pick up time, but thats ok if they go out in tomorrows mail.
Next is to start making cookie dough and sweet tea loafs. Probably only get 1 or 2 mixed up today and will have to finish up tomorrow.

Then Wednesday I will start baking them an can freeze them until next week unless they all get eaten, which is what usually happens.:rolleyes1
The bread I make tastes much better after a couple of days of aging.

Gotta go and get breakfast and get busy, will check back around lunch time,

Kathy

You should be happy about that dummy!!:lmao:

No, I've been wishing for snow! It just doesn't seem like Christmas unless we've got snow?!

After New Years it can melt for all I care.....just need snow for Christmas! :thumbsup2

I'll even take the -20 below temps as long as I've got snow with it!

Greg...didnt Kathy give you instructions last year about the "snow dance" something about swinging a chicken over your head while standing naked in your front yard?????:scared1: Oh yeah, there was some chanting along with that....and then you have to film it and post it on you-tube.....then you will get snow for Christmas....;):rotfl:

Ok, now that I had myself a good laugh
have a good afternoon all...

Denise:banana::banana::banana:

Hi Denise,

well I have mixed up my gingerbread cookies and sugar cookies too. I refrigerated the dough and will cook later in the week. I have 2 more receipes to make after I get my cream.

Plus I want to try to make marshamllows but my mixer may not be powerful enough for them. My stand mixer is packed away, somewhere in storage, so we will see what happens.

I also got all my gifts accepts the pups gifts wrapped up today.

Now to relax a bit and check on the pups. I dont think pixie is feeling well yet. She is way too quiet today, not like her at all.

we are up to 39 so far so we may hit 40 like they predicted.

Gotta run,
back later,

Kathy

What?...you don't want to be naked on your front lawn while selling your house?

No wonder your house hasn't sold yet! :rotfl2:

Now I'm sure that dance was for you!

Morning all,

well the best way to know the truth about which dance it was is for Greg to do the dance and see what happens. Of course I wouldnt take his word for the results so he must have it filmed as proof of the results:thumbsup2:

The weather here is dumping rain all night and all day in fact for as far as they can forecast its rain.:sad2: At least its not freezng today.:goodvibes:

Pixie seems to be feeling better today too. No more surprizes from her, thank goodness.
I am going to make some more cookie dough today and then see if i can find room to put them in the frig. It is getting quite full.

We received a Figi's gift package yesterday but no name on it? So I dont know who tp thank for it but I think it was from oldest DD. It has some sugar free goodies for Greg and a warm, soft, cuddly snowman blanket for me.

So I need to contact her today and see if its her or not.

I finally got my cards in the mail today too. So I am making progress.:cool1:

Back later to watch the film so the question will be answered for the dance;)

Kathy

Ok, here is the rain dance. I hired a bunch of Japanese guys to come do it as my performance fee's are to high for nude scenes. :lmao:

Just remember......YOU ASKED FOR IT!! :rotfl2:

I guess you'd better show us how its done Kathy......I just can't seem to get it right yet. :rolleyes1

Sorry your too late for that. It only works once a year per person and I just did my rain dance a couple days ao, look on line at our weather. Its dumping rain here, so it worked:thumbsup2

You just need to practice a bit and eventually it will work. Those Japanese guys wernt doing it right, thats how i knew they were fakes. They didnt have one rubber chicken between all of them to wave around over their heads.:confused3

I think my dance worked all too well here, man its just dumping buckets of rain today.I feel like i need to ask Santa for a rubber life raft to make it to the laundry room here.:lmao: My boots are only mid calf high, guess I should have bought knee high boots instead.

My butter is almost soft enough to start mixing up cookies. YEAH!!

But first i must take my dogs for swim instead of a walk.:rotfl2:

How are the kids feeling today Greg?

All hail the Voodoo queen and her rain dance! :worship::worship: :rotfl:

The girls seem to be over their illness. Nicole went back to school yesterday and Holly is doing much better. :thumbsup2

I wish your storms would come this way. After that so called "snow storm" this weekend and the wind that followed.....I've got less snow now then when I started out!

Greg, the best way to get snow is to say you DON'T want it:thumbsup2

If you want something it will never happen but say you dont want it and it always seems to happen;)

Glad the girls are doing better now.

I am drying out after taking the pups out long enough to really take care of business this time. When its rainy you have to force them to stay out sometimes. After few minutes they will GO because they know we will be coming right back inside. Now I can relax and have lunch.

I did mix up 3 more kinds of cookies and did the dishes too.
So I guess at least I accomlished something. Will be making hot roast beef sandwiches tonight. Thats easy and warm in the tummy on such a lousy day.

Back later,
Kathy

Hi Everyone,

We just rebooked onboard the Magic this past week for the 11/26/2011 Western. I'm Danielle and I'll be cruising with my DH Derek, then DS14 Keegan, then DS10 Brennan and my DHs mom, 2 step brothers, their wives and 2 kids each. There will be 13 of us total.

It will be our 15th DCL cruise (unless we can squeeze in another one if a great deal comes out), my MIL's 4th DCL cruise and everyone else's 2nd DCL cruise. We are really looking forward to it!

Welcome Danielle and family,

its great to have someone new here to chat with.:goodvibes

I will explain to you that there are a large group of people who have cruised together, 2, 3 and some 4 times together the saturday after Thanksgiving. We call ourselves Bananaheads.(long story on that name)

Anyway this year only 1 bananahead got to go due to varies reasons so we want everyone who can from the past and the NEW bananaheads like you and your family to go on this cruise.
A reunion for many and a first time meeting all our new friends who join us on this awesome cruise.:thumbsup2

On the first 2 or 3 pages many said they are coming but so far they only pop in now and then to post, so we arnt sure who all will be here.

Denise, Greg, and Christine who post here have booked a different cruise but we still chat here to keep in touch until we get more people who have booked this cruise then those people will bow out of posting so not to confuse everyone. If it wernt for them this thread would be long lost on page 500:lmao:

We are on the fence about this cruise. We want to see our old friends and meet the new ones we make the next few months but the economy may change our minds. We will decide for sure by our TA cruise on 9/18/2010 because we will book this cruise while on that one if we get to go.
So keeping fingers crossed!! So fo rnow I am here to get aquainted just in case we get to go.

Jeff and Shell when they post i believe are going for sure and BobbyNY, plus a few others. They just arnt posting much yet. Once they start they are alively friendly group of people, you'll like them. We plan ameet the first day, usually a ladies only meet one afternoon on a sea day and more.

So I will introduce myself,
I am Kathy, DH is Greg. Its just us, kids are grown and have kids of their own now. They have cruised DCL and loved it but not going with us this time. For now our dogs are my kids;)

This will be DCL #22 for us. We just got back from Nov 7th Eastern cruise.
I love about everything Disney, cruising, the parks, movies, characters etc...
Our home is in Florida but we are currently living in Oregon, hoping to return to Florida within the next year.:cloud9:

Thats about it about us.

So jump right in to get aquainted. We chat about cruising, family and what ever pops into our minds to kill time until the cruise gets closer then the conversations tend to be more about excursions and such although we are always happy to talk about such things.

Nice to have all 13 of you along!! I hope more from your group will post too.:cool1:

Kathy

Hello Danielle and family,

We're kinda in the same boat as Kathy.....we haven't booked this cruise, but haven't ruled it out either.

We have three other cruises booked between now and 2011, so we'll see how thing go between now and then.

I guess I should probably go onto DCL's website and price this cruise?!.....I didn't even realize Nov. 2011 was available for booking. :rotfl2:
