Happy Tuesday everyone!!!!

going to be another beautiful day today.

Not much planned for the day today, just a little grocery shopping and to finish up a couple things around the house that I didnt get done yesterday.
I need to work on my door sign for next weeks cruise and finish putting together the scrapbook/ album from last years August cruise with the grandkids. I am tired of looking at the pile of stuff from it.
This is the first time I have left a album sitting for so long. In 3 months they will be out and going on another cruise,s o I gotta get this one done before it's time to work on the next one!!

Take care everyone

Another day at home for us. Tyler's been coughing since Friday. I thought it was starting to go away yesterday, but he feels lousy this morning, and daycare doesn't want him there with that cough, so we're staying home. I'm about to pull all my hair out from being with a whiney kid and can't wait to go back to work and have adult conversations again!

Everybody have a great day! Supposed to be rainy here today.

I'm there with you... I'm already "at work" but the kiddo and hubby are sleeping beside me. They're both not feeling well. Hubby played poker on Saturday and got too close to the host's cat (aka, walked in the house), so he's working on getting bronchitis from his allergies going nutso. I need to run to Walgreen's and get him some Benadryl, probably... He was up most of the night coughing, so he's crashed finally. He refuses to wash out his sinuses. :headache: Guess he'd rather get sick. *sigh*

Kiddo has had yucky nose and so she's been getting dosed with Zyrtec or Benadryl.

I'm going to go call Huber's boss and let her know. I'd rather do that than wake him up. :confused3

Oh, and Holly, the mouse may have jumped in the cup after the person left, if the cup still had liquid in it, and then not been able to get out. Having had a mouse jump at me (from a horse feed bucket) those things are CREEEEEPY! I can't get over how much they can jump.

*wave* Take care.
Brandie

Brandie, I hope you don't get sick too! Here's hoping Fiona & DH feel better soon! :grouphug:

Good point about the mouse jumping. If it did jump in there, I'm glad that's where it jumped, rather than into my house! Haven't had any inside yet (knocking on wood). Yuck!

It's just allergies, so I'm not worried. Makes them miserable, though.

This morning hubby is denying he had an allergy attack last night. :rolleyes1

Fiona's at day care with her new pink shoes, and hubby is rambling around the house and coveting my soda. He's not getting any. He's  , he needs to act like it. :rotfl:

Holly, did you see on the news about a man inMichigan who was outsmarted by a mouse in his house, he just keep avoiding the traps. One morning the man woke up to find his denture gone from his night stand.:confused3

He blamed the mouse for trying to get his revenge on him for setting the traps. He looked everywhere but couldnt find his teeth.
Finally behind the wall heater he saw a tiny hole in the wall. He make a much bigger hole and sure enough about 4 feet into the wall was his denture:lmao:

He said he boiled it in peroxide for a couple of hour before wearing them.:scared:

finally he caught the mouse and his mate, but didnt have the heart to kill them. :sad2: He calls them push and pull because he figured they had to work together to push and pull the denture to get it off the table and into their home.
He made a nice cage for them and now they are all living happily ever after.:goodvibes

Hey everyone....
Thanks for all the nice comments about the cake. I really appreciate the feedback. Lets hope they just keep getting better. I think the wife and I would really like this thing to take off so we can go on vacation more.

Anyways...have a great day everyone.

Bill,
your doing great!! :thumbsup2 Just keep working at it and word of mouth will get around when ever you do a cake for someone.
Maybe you could make a buisness card with an e-amil address to leave with people you make cakes for so they could give them out to their guests if someone is interested in talking to you about a cake.
If we lived closer I would recommend you to anyone who needed a cake!

I will be waiting to see the next few cakes !!;)

Actually, we have cards. Here's the logo. Bill designed it (of course!):

:scared: BLECH!!!! No, I hadn't heard about that.....and still wish I hadn't! AAACKH!! I have a big mouse phobia because I've had some in every house I've ever lived, except one I rented for a year before buying this house....and this house (knocking on wood) so far. :scared1:

Heck, if you lived closer, I'd use you for Tyler's next birthday cake in May!

Shell,
loved the card!! Glad to hear you've already got that covered!!
I sorta figured you did.

Holly ,
I grew up in a house full of mice:scared1:
I told my husband he would have mouse meat for a dowry!!:lmao:
He wasnt too impressed:confused3 I thought it was very original.

:offtopic: Sorry, just have to share a story. Just got Tyler to bed and as I was leaving I reminded him that he'll hear thunder tonight and not to be worried about it. Of course, he told me he doesn't like that, it scares him, etc. Told me he wants me to make sure he doesn't hear it. I told him I can't do that because I can't change the weather. He asked, "Well, who can? The weatherman?" Nope. He asked, "God can, right?" I told him, "Yes, but he's not going to tonight because spring is the time for lots of rain because trees and grass and everything need lots of water to turn green again. We don't want the trees to stay naked....they need to grow leaves!" He laughed about that. I told him when he hears thunder, just remember it can't hurt us because it's just a noise. I told him it's just those crazy clouds bumping into each other. They're running around like crazy, trying to sprinkle rain everywhere it needs to go, and just not watching where they're going, so they crash into each other all the time. And those long rolls of thunder are just the clouds grumbling at each other sort of like they're saying, "Hey, would you watch where you're going? Quit bumping into me!" He just kept laughing harder and harder as I went along and all fear seemed to be gone. As I left his room, he said, "Mom, I'll remember to laugh at those silly clouds when I hear thunder." Phew! Now lets hope it works!

So I came into the living room and drew a picture on his easel of 2 clouds that just crashed and they have silly expressions on their faces, so hopefully he'll see it in the morning and laugh more!

This age is so fun! The silly things that make kids laugh! I do whatever I can to hear that great giggle!

And now.....back to mice and cakes. Hmmmm....not the best combination! :rotfl2:

Holly, I heard a phrase the other day that I'm going to keep in my back pocket for when Fiona gets older... Lightning is God taking a picture.

Hope that helps!

That's a cute one too! Thanks! But lightning doesn't bother him yet. :thumbsup2

Good Morning all,

Holly, loved the story, wished I'd had it when my kids were little. We used the old Giant is bowling story using the giant from jack and the Beanstalk because he lived in the clouds. it worked since our kids bowled when they were little and knew how loud it could get.

Things are quiet around here today. I almost got my album done from last August's cruise yesterday, so I may try to finish it today.
I have about 6 pictures to print off the computer yet.

Other than that it will be a lazy day here.

Just stopping by to say a quick hello.

The weather here in Seattle is rainy and dreary. My boys have their first baseball game of the season tonight so I'm trying to figure out how to stay warm for those 2-3 hrs. Would it be too much to bring one of those outdoor heaters that Costco sells? :rotfl: I'll be so happy when the warm weather comes our way.

Have a good day :goodvibes

Hi Becca,
It was great to hear from you again. it's been awhile.:goodvibes

Things are still pretty quiet around here today.
Minnie is snoring up a storm on the other end of the couch.:rotfl2:
crazy dog!!

Guess I will go out and relax on the patio for awhile, gotta enjoy the good weather.

Hi Becca! Wish I could send you some good warm weather, but seeing how I'm wayyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy east of you ... and seeing as I'm very possessive of any nice, sunny, warm weather ... well, you're out of luck!

Hey Kathy ... what the heck ever happened to Dawn???
