I am enjoying the warmth. I go out on the patio for awhile everyday and walk Minnie out in the nice sun twice a day!!

I heard from Dawn and she and the boys are still coming.
She has been babysitting a 6 month old, so not much time for posting, although she has been reading some of our posts. She said she will try and post soon!! So we still have her with us

Good morning everyone.

well another week has come and gone!!

Our cruise is that much closer.
Does anyone have any plans this weekend??


We are going to ride our quads tomarrow, then sunday we need to go buy a few pieces of summer clothing and give Minnie a bath.

Good morning everyone. Well Kathy, this weekend is filled with Easter egg hunts, dance class, swim team clinic and other assorted nonsense. In the meantime I sure would like to get some things done around the house.

We are hoping to paint the whole house (not me...but hiring someone to do it - I'm the least handy man you'll ever meet) and it's time to figure out colors and the like. Elizabeth wants a tropical bedroom and we saw a room in a model home that had wallpaper that looked like bamboo - way cool -- so we may attempt to find that.

Also need to do some landscaping around the house addition we just completed and again, we need to figure out what we want to plant. On top of all that I probably need to be at my computer for part of the weekend to catch up on some work for a couple of clients.

Friends are coming in from Wisconsin next week. And in the world of the Greeks (Mina is Greek) Easter is a huge weeklong thing l so we have lots of church and family obligations this week as well.

Yikes just talking about it all is freaking me out. I better get back to work!

Jeff,
great to hear from you again. It sounds like you have a very busy weekend and week!! I'm sure it will a lot fo fun next week.

I saw some bamboo wall paper on line when I was looking for wall paper borders for our house a few months ago. Not sure where it was. You might try a google search for it. If I remember where it was, i will let you know.

we have one tropcial bedroom that I am decorating at the present. It is painted yellow with a palm tree border to off set the yellow. it actually looks better than it sounds. I also got a tropical ceiling fan/light which really looks great. Next will be a tropical bed set. I have curtains and comforter with sheets to match that are palm trees already.
I am also going to make an old looking sea chest to set in in front of the window. There is a cubby hole area there. i will prop it open a bit and have tropical stuff flowing out of it. I may have some plastic trees palms and vines around too. It is a big room. Like I say, i am working on ideas.
I have been going one room at a time to decorate the place. It is a lot of work and money, but it looks so good when it's all done.

Dont work too hard!!

Jeff, look at Linens and Things, they have a tropical bedset that has a grass skirt as the bed skirt, it is really cute and I think it was pink and green for girls.

Thanks for the tips. I will definitely head to Linens and Things (there's a "grass" bedskirt and set at Target too but we didn't like it so much).

We built this house seven years ago and still can't decide how to decorate the rooms. Maybe when i retire!

Shell- Believe me, I'd LOVE It if we could go in that direction, but for some bizarre reason Mina wants my opinion on all of this! Just when one or the other of us says, let's do this....we chicken out. We have such a beige house that i think we are actually afraid of color. Some day...

Bill just got done with this one. It is for a lenten fish fry at Gilmour Academy in Cleveland. The cutting board is a yellow cake with lemon curd mousse filling. The wine bottle, fish, and lemon are all fondant-covered rice crispie treats. Cool, huh?

OH MY GOSH!!!!!! Each cake I see, I think I've never seen anything so cool, but I'm amazed all over again with each new cake! Wow! Incredible!
