Jeff, they wanted to put tubes in my sons ears to. But a second opinion said give it some time and he wont need them. It was hard but we waited and he was just fine without the surgery. I have read good and bad about the tubes, but I couldnt bear to put him through surgery when he was so young.

Brandie - Thanks for the tip. As you say, what could it hurt..do you mean like starburst? If so she loves those so why not give it a shot. Doc has been close to wanting to put in tubes but then backs off - part of me wants her to to just help the little one not go through this all the time..but then the dad in me takes over and says...that's like surgery...no need to do that to my princess.

You say Fiona was glued to you...that's so funny. Emmy says "I stick to you daddy" And she did this afternoon. I love having my own biz and working from home. The time with the kids is just so good for them AND for me. My mood is generally much better than when I worked in the evil corporate world.

Just anything in the fruit chewie section will work. I mean the little packets by the pre-packaged chips section for kid's lunch boxes. Better for you than gummy bears, and harder to chew. These stick to your teeth, whereas gummy bears don't. Lemme know if it still doesn't make sense...

about "I stick to you daddy"--that's awesome! We tend to curl up in the "big bed" and I work off 2 laptops and she watches tv while holding one of my arms in a death grip.

Hey Folks!

Sorry that I have been in hiding for a while. I am currently working on a project out of town (Albany, GA) and I am using the client's computer. So, I only jump on the internet minimally to check e-mail and news during the day. And, I am normally so wiped out when I get back to the room from dinner that I head to bed fairly early.

Things have been going pretty good otherwise. I am looking forward to a long weekend with DW to celebrate her birthday this weekend. We are going to spend a 4 day weekend in Charleston, SC, so it should be fun and relaxing!

Jeff, tell that little girl that she is in our prayers! I had a nephew who went through the same struggles with the doctor saying "He will grow out of it." Took a toll on my brother and his wife, so I will be praying for you two as well!

Kathy, yes you are right. I actually had the wrong answer to your question. I thought you were talking about his name of Dippy Dawg in the early shorts. Now, one more question for you since you are a Goofy fan, what was his name in the 1950s where it was indicated that Goofy was a nickname?

I think that was around the 1050's. earlier he was referred to as Dipy Goof too I believe.
