Good morning,

well we woke up with terrible storms all night. Lady Lakes which sits between Pat and myself had tornados that flattened many homes in 2 mobile home parks and killed many people. They are still searching the area. Many houses in the Villages were damaged and near Deland I believe was over 500 houses damaged from the storm.
I have been up since 2 a.m. watching it go by. Those tornadoes happened about a 5 minute drive from where I live, way too close for comfort!!!


Our pool needs to be drained due to all the rain, but we are ok other than that.
Pat, are you out there, hope your ok too!!

I think I will be rooting for the Colts on Sunday, but mostly I am interested in the commercials.

Just popping in to say "Hi!"

It's been another crazy week here in the Arctic Circle!

Jess stayed home from school Wednesday with the hacking cough / cold that's been going around here. I think that day of rest helped a lot. Plus staying home with Mom isn't all that fun!

Bob, hate to break it to you, but I agree with Shell. Can't believe you're selling out on the 07 cruise. If you worked a bit harder, you could afford the 07 cruise AND trips to all the destinations during the summer.

Kathy, glad to hear you guys are o.k. That is a bit close for comfort.

If Kathy is rooting for the Colts, looks like the Bears should pull out a victory!!!

Sorry I haven't checked in the past few weeks...life has been crazy. I am still here and can't wait until Nov.

Kathy, I just heard about all the tornados and wanted to make sure you were Ok...glad you checked in and everything is OK. Yes, those tornados are a little too close. Is minnie going crazy?

Sorry...back to the crazyness that is my life. Hopefully things will calm down soon and I can catch up on this board.

It wa snice to hear from you.
Actually Minnie pretty much slept through it all. She woke up when I got up at 2 a.m. but I told her it was ok, so she laid back down and went to sleep.

Greg and Peter slept through it. crazy men!!
Greg said he heard the rain but didnt realize it was so bad.

So far 14 are dead, 3 were 5 minutes from where we live the others were in Paisley which is 30 minutes away. But now that is it light out it is really a mess from what I've seen on TV. So very sad for so many people.
It is total destruction in some places.

Kathy, after reading your post this morning, I started trying to call Mom and couldn't find her! Got my sister involved, my sister-in-law, called the house, the cell phone, my uncle's cell phone ... nothing! Finally, Mom answered and told us that it is sunny and Dad's out golfing! As usual, nothing phases them ...

not much happened around the Eustis area, just rainy.

It was more towards Leesburg area which is several miles from Eustis.
So far 3 dead close to me in Lady Lakes, 11 in Paisly which is 30 minutes from me. I havnt heard anything about Belleview where Pat is, but she is close to all of this too. I worte her but no answer yet. Hope she is ok.

Right now many teams are going through the rubble one house at a time looking for people, which will take awhile. Many are still missing.
a sad start to our day here today. Everyone is in shock. When I went to the store many employees didnt make it to work and they cant contact them. Many live in Lady Lake area and between trees and wires down many cant get out.

well hopefully tomarrow will be better.
