Ok,
I'm going to try you post a picture of me and captain jack, it may be too big to fit still or not show up at all, so please be patient as I am still learning this stuff. I will keep trying if it doesnt work.

Kathy,

Great pics!! I am sensing a theme here(pirate). I love it. DH already thinks he is a pirate. Where did your family get all their pirate gear? I have started looking on the internet for ideas. But, I am totally clueless.

Wow, great pictures. Thanks for sharing.

Well after much discussion and debate my husband and I decided to downgrade our room. I am kind of sad about it but I just couldn't justify the extra $3000. We could take a whole other vacation with that money. So I called my TA and asked her to change us to a Category 6. I do feel much better about the cost and I even added the Romantic Escape to the package so I get a little more. We had the Romantic Escape added on to our four night and it was well worth it. My biggest thing is getting Palo for brunch and dinner. We will just have to book dinner when we board. We did it the last time and had no problem. At least with the Romantic Escape I can book the brunch before most people can. I requested room 6088, it's towards the back staircase and elevators which is where we were the last time. It was so much easier to use the back stairs and elevators than the middle.

Ok now on to your question...

I have to say my favorite vacation was this past December, our first Disney Cruise. I can't say exactly what is was but we just loved it. We have been on a lot of vacations and this was the best. We didn't even want to go to Hawaii this year but we had already made a committment or we would be going with Kathy this November.

Ok, gotta go back to work. Check in with you guys later.

Glad you guys liked the pictures.

My daughter got their costumes on line, but not sure which place.
You have to be careful because some are one size fits all and other places have a NO return policy, because people buy them, wear to a party then return to get their money back.
www,disneyshopping.com has a few costumes and if you watch, after Halloween they do go on sale usually.

My costume was just odds and ends I got and made the ends look tattered.
boots were close out at target for $15. The pirates of the caribbean medallion necklace and mickey pirate ears are from WDW, $10 and $15.
I still need to work on the vest some.

I will ask Marie if she remembers the site she got her costumes at.

I will check in tomarrow with everyone!!!

Happy Labor day everyone,
I hope you dont have to labor too much today whether at home or work.
It is sunny :sunny: and hot this morning, but suppose to be rainy this afternoon, I hope the weatherman is right about it this time. ;)
we need the rain.

Guess DH is going to mow the grass and do some weeding this morning, but that is about it for today.
very exciting huh :rotfl:

Hope all of you had a good weekend.

Laura, did you get back from your trip yet??? How was it??

Kathy

Hi Everyone!

I have been a lurker for a long time, but have decided to come out and join the fun!
(Hopefully I'm doing this correctly).

Here's who going and ages (at time of sailing):

Me - 41
DH - 44
DS - 14
DD - 9
DSIL - 46
DMIL - 71
DFIL - 73

We've been going to WDW for the last thirteen years at least once a year - sometimes more :)

Back in March, we were watching the Discovery Channel's special on DCL and my husband and son were immediately hooked. A quick phone call to my inlaws and the reservations were made...

We are thrilled to be going on our very first cruise and look forward to getting to know you between now and then!

We're back from WDW!!! It was such a great trip. It was hot as heck, but I was so glad we dodged the Ernesto bullet, just put on our ponchos on Wednesday and had alot of fun. My DS still believes all the characters are real and had the best time meeting all of them over and over again. I was really proud of him this trip. He tried alot of rides he wouldn't go near just 6 months ago. I even got him to take a nap a few days so we could go out at night and see the fireworks and night shows.

In case you're interested, here's a 4 year old's view of a trip to Disneyworld. His best of Disney, quoted verbatim -

Magic Kingdom - Tom Sawyer Island
Animal Kingdom - Going through security
MGM - Meeting Mickey
Epcot - The car ride (Test Track) - It went rrrrrrrr, rrrrrrr, rrrrrrr, and was soooo fast and it was scary exciting!!
The whole trip - Watching TV on the plane

There you have it, lol. I think we're both a little sad to be back home. He starts school this week and I think it really hit him today and he's a little apprehensive about it, and then I just hate my job so much that coming back is a #$%#^. But it was such a great time.

Here's some pics -

Welcome Raindrpz party: you are going to have so much fun, especially with a group as big as yours. Glad you decide to stop lurking. I was a lurker until last year when I went on my first cruise and I had so many questions, I needed to ask. We are a very friendly group. Just think how cool it will be when you get on the ship to already know a bunch of people; especially since we have some much time to get to know each other.

Welcome back Laura, glad you had a good time. Loved the pictures, thanks for sharing. Also loved your son's review. Sounds like all you need for a good vacation are Security gates and a TV :rotfl2: Sorry you have to go back to a job you hate but just think of the vacation you get to take because of it :cheer2: .

Don't have too many plans for today. We are going up to the strip tonight to meet some family that is in town. It's still very hot here (103) so we are staying in our air conditioned house for most of the day. I never thought I would live in a place were I would get tired of it being summer. We still have a few more weeks of 90-100's degree temps then it will really start to get nice. OK back to work from home. Will check in tomorrow if I'm not to crazy at work
