I'm looking out the window and listening to the hurricane-force winds I'm having here in Denver... And it is bright sunshine with white ice called snow on the ground. This is just weird! The trees are violently swaying, the house is making sounds, and the snow is not -budging!- I think I'm going to go take a nap and ignore all this!

Wow! Here in Daytona Beach area it's supposed to get down to 28 degrees tonight! The weather is just strange! No snow here though.

In a few weeks I'll head to my "other home" in Idaho. Then driving to Las Vegas for a reunion in early April, then flying back to Florida mid-April. I am baffled about what to pack, especially since Idaho may be either very cold and snowy or possibly warm in mid-March. We can get violent winds there also, a lot like Utah and Colorado.

The "berths" number on your page is confusing to me; is that all beds(including crew), or how big the ships' berths are?

Yay! The freaky wind is gone. Last night, one part of town was getting snowed on, and the other part wasn't. It really is true that if you don't like the weather, you can go a few blocks and get different weather.

well we did get down to the upper 20's last night. High today 61. So we are going to be brave and go out and ride out quads this morning.
We will probably be the only dummies out there for a few hours!!
I am taking a thermos of hot tea, cocoa and coffee.
if it's too cold I will sit in the truck with a good book.

Yeah, the # of berths on that page I found confused me too. I only stumbled across it when doing a google search for Fincantieri. I saw that as somebody's DISname and also remembered seeing that on a sign on Carnival Liberty, so I just had to know what the heck that word meant.

Howdy all,
w ehad another good day. Peter has the title of the first of us to crash!!
I think he is proud of that There was a stump hidden in the grass that his front left tire hit and threw him off to the right of the bike. He landedi n the sand which is the best place to land, No bumps or bruises.
Personally I would prefer the title of the person who has NEVER crashed!!! That sounds better to me.
It was up to 49 degrees when we arrived so it worked out ok for the weather.

I was home in time to watch the Magic pull out on the web cam, which was nice.
well gotta start some dinner, will check back later, it looks like you guys have been really quiet today.


Josh, how is your family?? Are they over the flu yet , I sure hope so. Tell them hello for us!!

We were in the middle of page two so I figured I better come and save the day.... Don't get the whip out Kathy, I think everyone, at least in the north, has the winter blues. We got a few additional inches and its just hard to do that day after day....bleachhhh. I used to love the winter and still would if it lasted, maybe 3 weeks? (any takers on a 3 week winter season?).

Ok,....nuff ranting and raving. The snoring stopped in the other room. Either Woo woke up and wants breakfast or Guido woke up and wants outside....(you have no idea what kind of trouble that statements gonna get me in).

Glad you got us bumped up. I was slow about getting on line this morning. I made pancakes and sausages and played with Minnie before sitting down to the computer.

Stacee posted a couple of times last week too and she is still coming. I gave her my e-mail and hope she will write me so I can tell her about the dis boards.

Good Day All....did you guys see the recall for the Peter Pan Peanut Butter and the Great Value Peanut Butter???? The containers the peanut butter was placed in had salminella in them....the serial number on the lid starts with "2111...." if you have this, send the lid with the number on it to Con Agra address on the jar.....yep you guessed it....WE HAVE THIS CONTAINER..luckly no nausea, vomitting, or diarrhea in this house....just the cough, snots, and hacking....

Bill - I'd rather have a three DAY winter season. Christmas Eve, Christmas Day and the day after Christmas. Other than that, I've HAD IT. Last night we went out to dinner with friends. It snowed like heck hte whole time we were there and the roads were pretty okay until we got to the one windy, hilly road we have to go on to get home and it was completely covered. Ick. Now we are getting ready to go out shopping and yes, it's snowing hard again. MAKE IT STOP. Every year in mid-February I say I 'm moving south or west. And the older i get the crankier i get.

Ok enough ranting on to fun news instead. Miss Emily is getting a big girl bed (if we can ever get out of the house today) and she is SO excited. But now we have no way to "contain" her so I'm sure the transition will be fun!

Just planned our summer vacation. Check out my signature. We are also planning a long weekend at WDW in May. Just booked via DVC ourselves into the Villas at Wilderness Lodge - we've never stayed there. We always have stayed at our home resort, the Beach Club Villas, and we are on the waiting list for that for this trip but VWL might be fun too. Now I just need to find an airfare that I can stomach for that trip.

The only way I know of beating the winter blues is to book more vacations!
