Hey all ...

... any HOCKEY fans out there??? :cool1: :cool1:

We are a very GO DUCKS family. Hope we can get some games in the ESPN Zone. :happytv:

Girl's gotta dream. ;)

:tinker: Karen

Well, okay then,

I will take my TOP OF PAGE and leave (for now).

Guess it took my DUCKS to get me a TOP.

I will check back after the next load of laundry. :laundy:

Hope the "drug sniffing dogs" don't eat all the chocolate I am bringing for my DIS friends!! :goodvibes

:tinker: Karen

Okay, what is everyone's packing status ... and when are you leaving?? :confused3

We are leaving Monday ... and haven't started ... YET :cool1:

We sortof have a Cruise stuff countdown. Here's what works for us ...

3 days out (today): Kids leave all their clothes in two stacks ... clean stuff they want to pack - in Family Room pile ... dirty stuff they want to pack - on laundry room floor. We then do laundry all day and add now clean stuff to Family Room piles. Oh and we also set suitcases on the floor near the stacks. ;)

2 days out (tomorrow): I sort thru the kids' clothes and make notes for what we still need (usually more flipflops or small stuff ... head to Walmart/Target (mall only if desperate, as a last resort) ... come home, re-sort, more notes, another store visit. Then I start to pull things out for Dave and myself ... more laundry, more notes, another store visit. I also raid our "Cruise" storage container and stack up random items like 70s/80s/Pirate gear to pack ... and I search for the over-the-door-holders, extension cords, and other "must pack" items. pirate:

1 day out (Sunday): We (okay mostly I) actually pack the bags and then everyone adds their toiletries and the "fun stuff". I make a list of all the things we will need to buy out in Cocoa Beach (aerosols like Solarcaine, disposable cameras for the kids, *ahem* Malibu Rum, etc.) I don't like to bring them on the plane, so we pick them up in FL. I try to remember to get our swimsuits out of the pool bag and throw out anything that might get fuzzy in the fridge. :dance3:

Travelling day: Drop off Sasha (our furry friend), load car and we are on our way. On the way to the airport, I remember many things that I *should* have taken care of ... more notes that I slip into a pocket of my luggage and promise to not look at or worry about until the car ride HOME from the airport. :scared1:

VACATION HERE WE COME!! :woohoo:

Nanahead hugs to everyone!!

Did we already figure that when we start our Nana Nation business that you'd be making shirts to sell? (It's been so long!) Robin? Kim? Christine? Help me out here!! My mind is mush.

Now Dawn can make fish extenders to go along with the shirts.

We also need to add positions for the newbies.

Terri, we decided we should start our own Nana Nation travel consulting business -- we have travel planners, lawyers/legal secretaries to get us out of trouble, photographers & writers to market us, a woman who will whip us into action, etc., etc. What special talent do you want to add to our merry little bunch?? (the same goes for Sherri, Meme, Wendyleigh, Karen, and anyone who has joined in since we last discussed our venture!!:thumbsup2)

I can provide counseling services and my dh (Michael) can fill a car full of gas in 12.6 seconds.

I can provide counseling and/or EAP (Employee Assistance Program) and my dh Michael can fill a car full of gas in 12.4 seconds :)

I have OCD when it comes to matching shoes with my clothes. I was going to only bring one pair of black heels but the black and red ones are a little more fancy and match with what I am wearing on Thanksgiving. You have to remember I will be gone for 10 whole days. One pair a day isn't so bad. :confused3

I have a french on my nails but I like something different on my toes. It's really cool the way she does it. It's actually glitter baked into nail gel. It lasts until I take it off. I only have to go once a month.

I was a Hockey fan when I lived in NY...Islander season ticket holders. When we moved to Vegas it was hard to follow because the games are almost never on TV. We are way more into baseball...Go Yankees:cheer2: .

TAD's Mom -
Sorry I was reading the 35 pages I missed - I didn't know you were talking to me :) I guess there must be something about these green lights everyone talks about . . .

To answer a few more posts -

1. We are at the Radisson on Friday night
2. We have Palo ressies on Tuesday night - from 8:30 - 10:30 - thinking that it is a bad thing because of the Pirate party, but didn't realize that when I booked and now there is nothing left
3. No banana pajamas, but i will find something !!!! So going to see Enchanted on the ship!
4. Would love to do the Martini tasting on Sunday - and since I think only one person said they were going to do it on Thursday - i might have to do that day too to add moral support to my fellow   sister :)

Gradie42 - Gradie is the name of my youngest kitten she got last year - looks like a russian blue and she named her instantly and it just kinda stuck - and 42 is the number of the Nextel Cup car my husband is on

I know you are serious, but that cracks me up!!

DH is eastcoast and actually wears shoes :confused3

but the kids and I just keep sandals in the car. Otherwise, it is barefeet for me:hippie:

Okay - last of my posts for the night - have to go do :laundy: so I can pack in the morning . . .

But I have to say that I am so excited about the cruise . . . and our week at WDW after . . . this Fall has been tough for me personally - our dd's are both 5 and started kindergarten - it was hard for me to go from being home most days with them and then they were not there! They have grown up so much, it just shocks and pains me sometimes -

And my dh has been working for the last 18 or 20 weekends I think - he travels on a race team - we are so ready to have some time with him - and he is ready for the season to be over too - it is long but he loves it -

Sooooo, I am off to bed so I can finish everything on my list tomorrow before the LAST RACE OF THE SEASON! Thank goodness! Go #42 crew!!

Night all :)

Evening Westcoasters and Late night people!:hippie:

CHRISTINE- I do think it's plenty of flip flops, but you have the luxury of that, so I say "You go girl!" Plus flip flops are light weight and easy to cram in.

I just spent my second late-night here packing. I have the boys pretty much finished and started on my stuff and realized that once DH's stuff goes in we are FULL. So I think I'm gonna be limited to one pair flip flops, some swim shoes (I know Kim...I'm a nerd), my black dress shoes and hopefully one brown and one black casual sandals.

JAIME- Question. How many suitcases are you bringing? Because we have real similar families. Right now I have 2 large, 1 medium, 1 suitbag and 1 larger sized carryon. (The carryon is full of diapers and wipes.) And I'll have my backpack as a carryon and we'll have the stroller.

I'm afraid I'm going to have to add another small bag and I really don't want to.

So far I have three pairs of shoes ...

... very casual sandals

... sortof nice sandals

... black dress shoes

I am going to have to look again, I apparently do not have near enough shoes. :goodvibes

Morning, Kathy! I almost posted at 4:00, but I've been doing laundry and my coffee with newspaper ritual. Ken swiped the computer last night, so I need to catch up... TTYL.
