11/24/07 We are Better Than Leftovers!!! Nana Head reunion Part 4

Hi All ... first, we thank you for your kind wishes and pixie dust.

I'm sure there's been a few e-mails and PMs going around, but just to let you know, this morning I spoke with our vet and we are going to have to let Guido go this weekend. He has been having many troubles, and last week he had 5 seizures, including at least one Grand Maul this past Saturday. Today I made the appointment and burial arrangements, and he will be buried in the same cemetary with our Sammy, who we lost 2 years ago.

It's so weird ... his is the longest relationship I've ever had ... 16.5 years. He was born during the first Bush administration, lived thru Clinton and the second Bush administration! My gosh ... I was 25 when we met, had a mullet and no gray hair !

Sooooooooooooo .... all in all, we're doing OK really. We know it's time to quit being selfish and let him go. It will be a very tough Saturday for us.

I lost Pompom last year I know what you're going through. You are in my thoughts. I know it's hard but it's better to have all the plans made. We were selfish and wanted to keep her as long as possible. I came home from work one night and she was gone. I'm still not over it.

For those of you who went last year. Is anyone bringing their magnet from last year? I found it (in a box in the garage, after moving) and thought I would ask.

I hadn't thought about it, but it's an easy door decoration!!!!

We had to put one of our dogs to sleep last year because he bit Alex on the face. It was really hard for Chris who handled it because I was very pregnant and unable to. And he hadn't been with us nearly as long so I cannot imagine how hard it will be for you. But I'm happy that Guido will soon no longer be in pain.

About how much does it cost to do a load? I'm bringing along some quarters and and wondering about how much to bring.

Hi all you 07 I am a 06 cruiser. I hope you all have super time. Sure wish we could sail with you all this year We are going on the 08 cruise. It is a year still a year a way and I can hardly wait. I hope to meet some of you on the 08 cruise. Can't wait to hear all about it.


Shell and Bill-So sorry to hear about Guido That is really a hard thing to have to do. I have been through it with twice with my cats. to you and I will send up a prayer for you guys.

Hope you're feeling better! Jackson seems to be better tonight so my fingers are crossed that I will be able to go to work tomorrow. He actually ate supper so that was a good sign.

He's so cute he keeps looking at the computer and saying "Mickey Mickey Mickey" because he sees the ears at the top.

Kathy some more bad news. I just read on the main board that Disney is no longer giving out lanyards to return cruisers. They said they are revamping the program and have depleted their inventory, nothing is being given as a replacement . Man...this is my first cruise as a Castaway Club member I was looking forward to all the free stuff.

Christine, I read this too! I was hoping to get them. We bought one on our last cruise and I can bring that one and then I suppose we'll have to buy another so at least DH & myself have one for our cards.

WOW, I have never heard of NO return gifts before.
I have had them change them a few times but never run out between changing them? Maaybe our cruise will be the first to get the new gifts.

They are going to have a lot of angry repeat cruisers.

That's what I understand as well -- the CC gift is in your cabin, but no lanyards or pins at check-in. I'll have to remember to bring mine from last year. (Great another thing to try to remember! )
