11/24/07 We are Better Than Leftovers!!! Nana Head reunion Part 2

We're actually on Deck 1 - right next to the door to the crew quarters (a.k.a. coal room! )

One of the best lines I heard last year -- Shell: "You reallyare in steerage!"

I believe we are the only people who have ever specifically booked that cabin! It's not bad because we are close to the mid-ship elevators/stairs, and there's no one on one side of us. (The coal is very quiet!! )

So, with you, me, and Wendy, that ship should be hummin' right along!!

We're in Cat 12 too

OK, I know this is sick and weird, but I'm kinda jealous. I really miss the days when I went to the gym for classes, maybe when the boys get a little older!! That used to be my evening activity pre-children.

It is so hard to get out in the evening when you have little ones...I decided I wanted to do a little someting to give myself the extra kick I need to loose my last 12 pounds! The strange thing is even though I could barely breath it was actually relaxing...not sure why...might have something to do with not hearing mom...mom...mom for an hour

Good morning all!!!!!!!! Have a million places to go today. Very overcast so I don't have to feel guilty for not working in the yard Would like to try and get out the fall decorations this weekend and I need to weed and put down pine straw. Gotta love Fall.

Somehow I doubt it!!

If we ever go on another cruise, I'll have to decide if I want to "give up" my very smooth sailing cat 10 for a cat 11 in a "cooler" part of the ship.

How much worse is a cat 11 than a cat 10? Is the single bathroom really tiny? Anyone? Anyone? Bueller?

Now don't get me wrong, I'd much rather have a verandah, but in order to support all my other habits, I need to save some money somewhere! Since we like it really dark when we sleep and don't spend much time in there anyway, it's no big deal for us to have an interior cabin. Plus "living" on deck 1 for a week means I don't have to go to the fitness center for step class or to use the Stairmaster!!

I'd be interested in hearing about your experience on Carnival with your 2 year old. That's how old Jackson will be next year. We probably won't be cruising next year and will be waiting for 2009... but just for research purposes... you know...

Cheri- I might get the chance to tell you what a category 11 is like. Last time I booked cat. 12 we were upgraded to a category 9 though...so keep your fingers crossed!!

Kathy- That was a cool picture of the bread boat!!

I'm always jealous when Shell goes to Texas. Good mexican food and maragaritas you know!!

Can't say I like that...who would you recommend? We are actually using them to get to the ship...and renting a car after so we can do some shopping. Just wondering when you rented did you have your tip prepaid to the driver? We had to make changes with them and it was actually very diffcult so my concern about switiching is they would still try to charge my card.

Sorry to throw up the red flag but I gotta protect my fellow Nana heads. Tip was not prepaid..and while I didn't stiff the driver, I didn't make it worth her miserable while. i will say I contacted them after the fact and they refunded half my fare.. saying it was a car they were putitn gout of commission AFTER our trip...but still, I wouldn't trust them again. We had a good experience several years ago going to WDW (before magical express) with Tiffany Towncar.

I've been checking daily...I put some money on my onboard account yesterday and the cm said all rooms are assigned 20 days our or before...so I hope we get them soon and I hope we all get great upgrades...that would be the coolest! here's some pixie dust for us!
