SOMEBODY ... and I'm not saying who ... but SOMEBODY is noticably absent from the board today. Could it be ... hmmmmmmmm ... recovery from a Vegas bachelorette party that is taking it's toll? If that's the reason, then I will try to type quieter.

KIM??? ARE YOU HOME YET???? I'm getting soooooooo lonely out here! :sad1: Oh hey, when you get here, type quietly. I think Christine may be having some, um, issues today :lmao:

Hey Shell - Are you and Bill in or out on the Michigan trip. I hope we get the answer we're hoping for (please join us. please join us. please join us) or else we're all going to be really sad. :sad2:

Hi, everyone!

It's been a week or so since I've been around so I thought I'd pop in and say hello. Looks like I have lots of reading and catching up to do...as usual when I stay away for so long.

We still haven't decided on our excursions but we are getting closer to making up our minds. If we wait too long and some things are not available then I guess we'll just pick something else. As first timers it's so hard to decide!

I'll be up at midnight tonight trying to book Palo's so wish me luck. :surfweb:

Josh,
love the ticker:thumbsup2

Sharon,
good to hear from you, dont stay away so long. we need all the post we can get around here. we still need to make one decision for excursion on st. thomas then we will book them. hope to decide by tomarrow.

night all,

kathy:flower3:

Jaime, have you put your family on the waitlist for early dining? You can do that if you're concerned about your kids eating too late. I don't know how it works, but I'd assume you'd request it from your TA or DCL.

We are thinking about getting on the waitlist but not sure if a early dining time would be any better anyhow. Because of time difference our dd's are use to eating at 3:00 and in bed by 6:00 so we are thinking we might be better trying to get them to have an afternoon snack and then a nap. Our inside stateroom might help with the naps;)

How do everyone help their children adjust to the time difference?

I'll be up at midnight tonight trying to book Palo's so wish me luck. :surfweb:

Hi...I'll be up too:surfweb:

Josh...great ticker:thumbsup2

She's BAAAAAAAAAAAAAACK!!!! Gosh, I sure did miss you guys. Caught up a little on DS's PDA as promised but that thing makes me crazy:headache:

Dawn-I'm so jealous of the whole 17 day thing. I must say though, we packin a lot of stuff for only 3 full days. We went to all the parks , did our favorite things, ate great and even squeezed in a Night of Joy on Saturday. The place was packed with teens, but it was great seeing them have so much fun listening to Christian music.

Wow-so much to catch up on...................

Sometimes my computer logs me out before I finish a post..................

Christine-You okay girl? Am I being quiet enough?

Running on very little sleep here, BUT I have to stay up and get my St. T excursion booked. I want Palo ressies but I'll settle for the good fortune of getting the excursion with my pals..............OMG with the football:sad2:
ESPN every night in the room, checking the scores on the PDA, I know it's football season

Of course, my DH also watches bowling, so there you go:rolleyes1

So, we've decided that we need longer vacations instead of more short ones. As DS gets older (and us too) we just don't feel like we've really had a vacation. And dang it, Disney just keeps getting smarter with their promotions. This was the most crowded I've seen the parks at this time of the year. Over the last two years they have cut back on the discounts, and now with the Meal Plan, you really have to book early for dining. We waited for Kona Cafe this morning. I've never had a wait for this restaurant...........but I love my Tonga Toast.

Okay, I'm totally rambling................

Oh wait, there was a point to but I forgot to remember it.........

Anyhoo, we went to the Disney Vacation Club Open House today and we are seriously considering it. I know it doesn't work well for the DCL, but now that my dad is retired and DH goes on more of the vacations with us, we need a nicer place and more time. Anyone have any experience with this either way?

Also, because I know how worried you guys must have been.........we did not fly back into a Tropical Storm, we got more rain in Florida!!!!!!!!!!

Still trying to stay awake:guilty:

Good morning!
Can't believe I am such an early poster...
Yep, Kim, I took the leap last year and bought DVC at Animal Kingdom. We LOVE the lodge and it is so expensive, I bought enough points for a 2 bedroom for one week. Just paying paymetns so far but have next spring break booked for our first visit.
Rachel is off to get her braces today so I am taking the day off. She is excited but knows it will hurt for a few days...
Will check back later............... gotta get my picture fix!
Judy

Good morning everyone:love:

I cannot believe how tired I am..............Well, the system kept telling me I could book because I was either missing a birth date or I hadn't paid in full:scared1: I was freaking out.............FINALLY, it let me in. I don't know what happened. So, most importantly I got the early Capt. Nautica:yay:

It would not let me book tea or brunch. Palo was unavailable for most of the times I wanted so I booked Thursday at 8:30. I didn't have my Thursday navigator but I remember you guys said just book something and maybe you can change it later................I think that's our Semi Formal night, so maybe that will be okay.

Talk to you guys later, I'm sure I have a desk full of work:rolleyes1

Good Morning everyone:goodvibes ...I am tired!:surfweb: Didn't get to sleep until 2:30 and had to get up at 6:30...

We had the same trouble last night too when trying to get online...when we finally got our ressie opened...their wasn't much left to choose from...no brunch or high tea at Palo's...we were lucky enough to get Palo dinner ressies for Friday 6-8...and Michelle(bf) got hers Thursday 9-11...we are going to try to get a table for the four of us for brunch once on board...when and where do we go to do this?

Glen(dh) also decided to book us on a Glass Bottom Boat Scenic Voyage on Castaway Cay...anyone do it before?

Have a great day!

Jaime.
as soon as you board you can go to one of the clubs ( it will be on the paper they give you at check in) and ask to change reservations the way you want. also anything you couldnt book on line having to do with palos or tea , ask them about those ressies too. They do save a few just for last minute reservation on board. Plus some will make changes when they board which will open up more places too. So if you board early and go and do this ASAP upon boarding you will have a good chance of getting what you want.

Sometimes they will take your name and room number and call you later about the changes, after lots of people have come in to change reservations They will do everything they can to get you what you want.

Not much going on around here today, just going to be HOT !!
I cant wait for winter to come.

Lets see some more great photos today!! I will find one soon too,

Thanks Kathy...

It's cool and rainy here today...I am not looking forward to winter at all...we get too much snow:scared1: I'll look for my house picture from last winter later today...our snow bank is always very high!

Jaime,
while you get a ton of white stuff, I get 70 to 75 degree weather for the most part:yay: we only get 2 or 3 weeks of cooler weather all winter
Yes we do get a little snow around Christmas, it is at MGM studios where the Osbourne family light display is at:lmao:

I can sympathize with you though, we use to live in Bend Pregon which is at the foot of Mt. Bachelor. Close to a ski resort. We had tons of snow there and very cold weather!!
I filled my yard with snowmen one time and crochet'd scarves and hats for all of them. That was fun.
