Wish I could help with the cheesecake. It was so bad we left it with our hosts....I'm sure the rest just went to the dog---bleachhhh. (Woo,....you just hush now)

Thought I'd just jump in and say we're home! Had a terrific time! Tell you more later...I have 50 pages to read! Still enjoying the pictures! Dawn

According to past eastern navigators formal night should be Sunday night.

It says St. Thomas night is Cruise Casual, Master Chef menu, with Gary Delena for entertainment. (I figure we'll be pretty tired this night what with pirate night the night before and spending all day at the beach.)

Will be interesting to see the new navigators once someone gets one posted.

Hmmmm...I remember Pirate Night leaving St. Thomas...no???pirate:

Pirate Night was the night before St. Thomas. The reason I remember that is that we were all ... um ... "complaining" about having to get up early the next morning for customs. And, we had karaoke that night after the pirate party in the bar and we kinda cut it short because we had to get up early.

party: :welcome: to Jaimie and family. My name is Okie-traveling with DH; DS-17; DD-15 (turns 16-10 days after our cruise).

Kim: We have done animal towels; napkin folding; and dessert demo-loved them all....agree with Robin about bringing a sweater-it gets chilly--can't believe I would complain about that :confused3 .

Recommend every show they put on-they are fabulous.

Shell: LOVE RICH PURPURA!! Last November when my 14 yr old niece came with us, she saw him and ran up and gave him a big hug...she thought he was sexy :rolleyes1

Mom started physical therapy today-was able to sit up and eat lunch-although only took a small amount

Welcome home Kathy.:cheer2: ...sorry we didn't make it to 7000 posts by the time you got back :sad2:

Kathy, welcome home when you get this. Hope your trip was a lot of fun.

Today was my first day of schooling. I have a feeling that this year will be a quick one.

Yes, I drive across the Omaha metro every day, it's mostly interstate though. And it's going to get longer because we have just broken ground on a new building that will be at 156th & Maple!

If you haven't been to Omaha in a while you would be surprised at all the changes. The new hot thing is outdoor malls. The most "elite" one is located at 168th & Dodge- "Village Pointe". Personally I think this is kind of a crazy trend seeing as we live somewhere that is really hot in the summer and cold in the winter!

I think DH was happy with the game! All I know is he listened to hours of post-game show on the radio! I always find it kind of amusing how they can rehash every aspect of the game for hours afterwards.:rotfl:

When I lived in Omaha, I was on Maple, just a few blocks east of 680. Now Omaha has swallowed up the town of Elkhorn -- how the heck does that happen???:confused3

Husker fans are a funny bunch -- they follow the Big Red year round --obsess much??!!:rotfl: (I have to say, I'm don't do that!)

And you're right about the Omaha zoo!!!! Much better than what we have around here (Milwaukee, Chicago)!

Well now there's an adjective I'm sure he's never heard along with his name :rotfl2:

Hiya Nanas!       (You don't have to eat them Christine, just look at them and feel the love! )

What a busy bunch (pun definitely intended!!) of posters today!:thumbsup2 Kathy shall be proud!

:welcome: :welcome: Jaime and family! I'm Cheri and I'm traveling with DH Bill and DD6. This will be our third DCL cruise.

Welcome back Dawn! Can't wait to hear about your trip!

Kim -- have fun, and don't worry -- I'm sure I'll love your Full Frontal Nanaty when I have enough money to buy all the necessary booze!:lmao:

Answers to a couple of your questions:

We bought the Bahama Mamas on our first DCL and they were pretty good. Not so much on the past trip. (I switched to mojitos and other options.)

We worked out in the fitness room (no classes) one day. There's nothing like trying to run on a treadmill as the ship is being pounded by big waves!:rotfl2:

In port, we usually buy some rum, or other local booze. Then, on a Bahamian cruise for Christmas 1997 Bill bought me an engagement ring in Nassau and he proposed on the beach at Atlantis -- back in the day when cruisers could go there for free. He has also bought me an ankle bracelet & wrist bracelet. Ahhh -- those were the days!!!!!!

Shell -- how'd you ever make out with that bee sting?

Jess got bit by a mosquito or some other pesky bug yesterday (she was outside for less than 5 minutes!). The bite was on her cheek bone so her eye started swelling a bit.

When she got off the bus after school today, it was even more swollen! Poor thing. I gave her some antihistamine and ice packs so hopefully it won't get any worse. She says it doesn't hurt, so I'm not too worried ----yet!

Hey!
Looks like the boards were down this morning as I couldn't get on. :scared1:

Found out Jackson had a ear infection in addition to his cold which might explain why neither DH or myself got any sleep all weekend. He got on medicine yesterday and already slept much better last night! Sleep glorious sleep!

Here's my photo of the day from the Sailaway Party.

OH! I almost forgot! Yesterday at the mall we got Jackson a really cute pirate costume (from Children's Place) so he can be Captain Jack pirate: for Halloween. And hopefully will fit for the cruise too (if he's awake for pirate night.)

Alex could have had one too, but when asked to chose prefers to be spiderman. Again.

WHEW!!! That was a LONG, PAINFUL morning without the DIS!

Ok, who ever has the most current navigators, what is the entertainment feature each night....shows, theme, chocolate buffet, etc. Planning is getting essential now! Of course any special nights for martini tsting MUST be included. WE have not spent much time in the adult clubs, too exhusted from a day of playing, so I need to get my priorities straight now that I have so many buddies toplay with!!!!
Back to work... will check for a FULL report later tonight!:dance3:
Judy

Judy-
Since the Magic has just returned from Europe and is on it's first Caribbean cruise I think we will have to wait until someone gets back from there for the most current navigators.

I saw a post somewhere else and it looks like at least one person plans on posting their navigators on thier return. I don't know if this weeks cruise is the Eastern or Western, maybe someone else will know that. But if it's Eastern then hopefully we can see those soon!

Thank goodness the boards are back.............I think the panic and frustration I felt could be a sad reflection on my life:lmao:

I really wanted the opportunity to say so long for now. We leave tonight and will be returning Sunday evening. Then we have to stay awake so we can make our reservations with DCL. I'm praying we get the early Capt. Nautica..............

I don't know if I'll get a chance to post but I will definitely be checking in from DH's phone:rotfl:

See you guys later:love:

OMG I was dyin' this morning. I am so glad I was finally able to get on this board has officially become an addiction for me.

Welcome back Kathy, hope you had a great trip
