Hi all,
School is looming over me- one week to go.. i am trying not to think about it too much.
Lazy Sunday morning, can't seem to get too enthusiastic about anything- hopefully we will hear from Capt. Nautica today:confused3 That would really fire me up!
Off to grocery shop and do laundry.... will check back later for updates and chat.
tata for now

Judy, I recall those dark days at the end of summer.

DH & I both were teachers -- he taught HS & MS PE, and I taught high school English. Plus we both coached year-round. I coached cheerleading:cheer2: , dance:dance3: , and track:yay: ;he coached MS soccer, HS boys' basketball & track.

Then in Sept 1998, he quit teaching to become an insurance agent:rotfl2: . The next year, he "took me away from all that. Now I work for him, his name is Billy." :rotfl: (Think Charlie's Angels intro!!)

Enjoy these last days of summer!:flower3:

Mornin everyone...
We must be getting close... we've started the infamous countdown. We wake up on Sunday....one of us will say...in 15 weeks, we wake up on the ship. This time it was her...Palo and salmon mousse was brought up----happiness ensued.

Mmmmmmm. Groundup Salmon ........ Joshua LOVES smoked salmon ....... can't get enough of that fishy stuff :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

It's like being in line for the bathroom at a race; it's about 5 minutes until the start and several people in front of you are spectators. Hello -- the spectatators could use the restroom once the race starts!!! How's that for a really bad analogy???
Gee, that didn't sound like some sort of bitter experience at all ... :rotfl2:

Anyone else notice that we've seemed to have lost Kim this morning?

Good day all. I'm just finishing up some work for a meeting tomorrow in Chicago. (Cheri - I'll give a wave as I am flying over the city).

This is one of those, fly up for a 2 hour meeting kind of all-day things. Hoping that I don't come home with too much follow-up to do because of what comes next - We have to get packing for our final hurrah of the summer trip to the World on Wednesday morning. Staying at one of our favorites- the yacht club - this time and plan to get in a lot of pool time and not be too commando in the parks due to the fact that we decided to go to florida in late August! :rotfl:

Thanks to the big discount given to DVC members, we bought annual passes in may which saved us a good chunk on the rooms this time and is a real "money saver" since it's a "free" trip to go park to park. :lmao:

We may also hit a water park - what is everyone's favorite? We've only been to Blizzard Beach so we are considering Typhoon Lagoon...but we may just stick with Stormalong Bay right at the hotel too.

We are hooking up with Pat (U2Pixies) and her family so that Elizabeth and Stacey get another chance to get together.

Take good care all and wish me luck for a smooth meeting tomorrow!

jeff

I love Blizzard Beach because of the tropical vibe, but teens LOVE Typhoon Lagoon because of the supersonic slides and rides. Typhoon has a HUGE wave pool with an 8 foot wave that cranks up every 10 minutes or so.
On an adult note, you may want to pack some "hooch" for Typhoon...:rolleyes1 I waited in line at the bar for 30 minutes for two frozen drinks and a coconut monkey. Now, THAT'S dedication! Blizzard Beach had no lines....

Judy and I are off to Carolina Beach to shop for casual cruisewear. We are facing that "we're probably not going to be thin" thing daily.:confused3

We're going to see The Bourne Ultimatum this afternoon. The weather is fabulous, with low humidity after last week's unbearable heat.

See you nanas later,

Ok.Now I'm confused. Blizzard Beach - Tropical Vibe... I don't remember that. And I thought I had read that the slides were wilder at Typhoon. Agggghhh.. I think maybe we'll just stick with SAB and the Y&BC! :rotfl:

Typhoon Lagoon is really cool, but so is Blizzard Beach! I wouldn't recomend taking out a child who cant swim very well out very far in the wave pool at T.L.! Hope everyone is having a good Sunday!!!

Rachel, Judy, Robin, and I are going to see the Bourne Ultimatum today!!!!!!! So I'll check the boards later!! Peace Yall:hippie:

Jeff,
both water parks are great. I love the wave pool at typhoon lagoon. No matter how crowded the park gets you can alway splay in the waves.

I think the kiddie area is better at blizzard beach.
No matter which you decide on, get there at opening. With our extreme heat it will fill up fast!! Today we are a little cooler, with the heat index they are predicitng 105 !!! It has been 110. Lots of sun block too.

One thing that is nice about blizzard beach is the mini golf just outside the gates. That is a fun thing to do too when you are done swimming for the day. Annual pass holders get a discount.

Cheri,
I never fight with Shell. :confused3 All I did was post a simple photo of the day and she went crazy on me. You know I wouldnt pick on anyone on purpose:rolleyes1
Although I do enjoy the thrill of seeing what revenge they take:woohoo:
I like to live on the edge:rotfl2:
You have to admit it livens up the boards some:lmao:

here is my photo of the day today

Rick, hate to say it but I'm not a big salmon fan...thats the wifes schtick. I'm sure this is blasphemy according to DCL but I thought most of the stuff was a lil too salty at the Palo brunch. The saving grace for me is that there was such a vast selection, it was hard not finding at least a handfull of things that I really loved. The desserts weren't salty AT ALL~..mmmm....

Just got done weeding the garden and I'm gonna hit the gym pretty soon. I figured that I'll go when the heat is at its worst---they have great air conditioning there.

We really need to get to Florida more often....I've heard of the waterparks but we've never been to one. This may be a shocking confession but I've only been to WDW twice in my life. There, I said it. I'm so ashamed. Ok....off to do a few more chores. BBL....

I was standing right next to Jeff when he took his picture....

now, I REALLY have a pic of the day....if anyone wondered what life in Akron was like (dont say it!)....
I took these in the back yard a few minutes ago.

To LIVE for a cruise is, well........sick?

Bill... I just have one question... ARE YOU OUT OF YOUR MIND???? :lmao:
That's the only thing keeping me going!

Just got home, with a bad shoulder pain. :headache: Not too sure why. Business is INSANE on the weekends. We have FOUR busers instead of two.
I also got a new expansion pack for my Civilization 4 game: Beyond the Sword (If anyone gives a hoot.)

Kathy--get better soon, Bill's losing his mind... thinking that living for a cruise is sick... WIERD HUH???

Well, I have to take my contacts out, they're KILLING ME!!!!

- Josh

I made this a bit bigger and in a more soothing color in case you're this morning!
Thank you, I can feel the love............

Anyone else notice that we've seemed to have lost Kim this morning?
Thanks for missing me. I'll have you know I was at church at 9 am this morning and even managed to sneak in a shower before I got there.:thumbsup2 Just so there isn't any confusion, I'm Methodist:woohoo:

I've only been to WDW twice in my life
From hero to zero:sad2:

I was in so much pain, I forgot to post a picture:

Okay, so I just called Capt. Nautica (seems to have slipped my mind yesterday ;) ) and I explained everything to the nice young lady who answered the phone and she asked me to call back tomorrow and speak to Leilani. So, you guys remind me...............
