hi, this is jacob, kim's (marriedatdsny1996) son. i am looking for some kids my age to talk to that are going on this cruise. please have your kids e-mail me or pm me if they would like to get to know one another.

thanks

Hey, my name is Skylar. I am 11. I am going on the cruise with my grandma, Dawn, (dsparks). What is your favorite TV show? My favorite is Naruto. I enjoy soccer. What sport do you enjoy? I am looking forward the most on the cruise is EVERYTHING! I've never been on a Disney cruise before! We go to Disney World alot and I love it there! We are going again in about a month--free dining!

Skylar

Wazsup! My name is Christian. I am 10 but will be 11 when we go on the cruise. I enjoy playing Club Penguin on the computer. Have you ever played? I also enjoy playing PS2 and watching TV. I play baseball. I look forward to everything also because I don't know what will be the most fun! My favorite place in Disney World is Epcot's Innoventions.

Christian:happytv:

Jacob, Sorry we couldn't post yesterday. REALLY busy day! For right now, post or PM the boys at my signin. Nice meeting you Jacob. Dawn

Bill, the logo for the t-shirts is very creative! :thumbsup2 Great job!

Kim, I think your question was regarding WDW at Thanksgiving. Yes, everything is open, this is a very busy day for them, but I have found the evening really thins out and the next day is great! If Disney is open, everything in WDW is open!

The boys have answered the post from your son, Jacob. It will be great if they can meet up Friday night before the cruise so that they "know" someone!

Hopefully, today will be a little slower day for me. It is finally cooler so I'm trying to get some chores done, cleaning out clothes, toys, and other odds and end--cleaning as I go. I keep looking at the forecast and 90 degrees again next week :scared1: I really do like the heat but at the pool or fooling around...not trying to do chores!

Kathy, is your family still with you! How's the back?

Dawn

Hi Dawn, yes my family will be here until the 27th of this months, so we have another week to go. My back is much better, thanks. I still get twinges so I have to be careful, but I am up and running full speed ahead now!!

I finally got to read all the posts while I was gone and saw where Josh asked if i was still counting  , of course I am and Monkeys too!!:thumbsup2

so far we have 10,215

and 988 monkeys

We will easily out do ourselves from the last cruise but you guys need to start posting more    when you post.

Shell,
you both have good ideas for the shirts. We will be happy either way you guys decide. You may have to take a vote here if you cant decide.

Come on past  head cruisers, how would you like your reunion represented on your shirt??
Let Bill and Shell hear from you. PM if your shy about writing it for everyone to see, but I think they would appreciate some input on the matter.

kathy

OK, Bill didn't post MY idea for the shirts, but here it is:

We keep the design Bill has and put it on the back of the shirts. Then on the front you get either 1 banana or 2 bananas, depending on whether you're a first- or second-timer. In '08, we do the same, but you can get 1, 2, or 3 bananas on the front. Get it?

Great idea.

So who has exciting plans for this weekend. I will probably spend most of the day at our new restaurant tomorrow but Sunday I refuse to step foot in there:scared: I need a break. My nephews from NY are in town so we are taking them to dinner on Sunday. I want to get some pool time in to but we'll see.

Still hot here. They are saying we might have some thunderstorms next week but they say that every week. I think it's just wishful thinking:) .

2. I believe we should remove the two from the design. On cafe press, I can make two designs very easily and the cost for double sided is the same. One design can have two bananas on the back or nana veteran or This is my second time with the bunch....I'll come up with a couple

Actually I did mention it...just not with your incredible clarity.

Marie and I went to a flea market today and I found an old writing desk and chair in a dirty back corner of a room. I have been looking for a small desk for a place to sit and do my bills for a year and couldnt find one.

So I was very happy, it cost $55. I do need to refinish it but that wont be hard to do. just sand and stain it again. I cant wait to get it done:woohoo:

It is in great shape, just dirty. Only one small nick in it easily sanded out.

Not much else happneing here today, pretty quiet.

we are getting a good amount of posts now, anyone decide yet on excursions?? Last time I asked people were still debating about them, maybe it is still too soon but if anyone has decided on some, please let me know I am curious to know who is doing what. I am a nosy lady:lmao:

Kathy

Kathy, You must have been reading my mind, but just said it. I was thinking about the same thing...what IS everyone going to be doing? As for us, we've never been on St. Thomas or St. Maarten so I'm kindda leaning towards a tour that will be showing us the islands but I haven't heard very good reviews of that, so I'm not sure. St. Maarten definitely seems more complicated than St. Thomas because of the "optional dress."
Dawn

mornin everyone.... thought I'd sneak under Kathys radar and get the first post of the morning! (shes probably typing right now).

I think Woo may have posted this already but I think St. Thomas is gonna be the St Johns snorkel trail thing and St. Maartens is going to be Sunny Listons friends tour around the island (we really want to see the airport where the planes fly right over your heads). Still not sure whether we're doing a Palo evening...we're definitely doing the brunch again....mmmm. I'm really getting anxious to go but I know that these 18 weeks are gonna go pretty fast with fall events coming, ahhh...fall. Watching the Browns draft picks fail to report, seeing the Indians screw up and fall to third in the central....and my anchor, that always keeps me into fall...the buckeyes (oh, Jim....why do you torment me?).

C'mon cruise..... at least Mickey has never let me down.

talk to everyone later.... (btw...the shirt designs should be on Cafe press early next week---I'll keep you informed).

pluto::banana:

Almost forgot....Welcome back Jeff, Mina and the kids!!! I think they're home by now.

Hope it was a blast for ya!

Morning all,
I was just about to type when your post came through Bill, I would of beat you but I took the time to write my brother a letter first. He just got back from a camping trip that poured rain for 6 days straight and left 4 inches of standing water in their campsite.:scared1: So they came home early and have been going out to eat everyday and looking at garage sales for antiques, not quite how they wanted to spend their vacation.

we are thinking about taking the grandkids to a movie today if we can find one worth taking them to. Tomarrow we are off to THE MAGIC KINGDOM !!!

I havn't been to WDW for a month, maybe a little longer so I am looking forward to it.

As you said Bill, Mickey has never let us down either, whether it is a cruise or a trip to the world:thumbsup2

After going on Carnival we are so ready to be pampered by Disney again.:woohoo: :woohoo: :woohoo:

Dawn, we havnt made any decisions yet about excursions, we have been on this itenary several times so it is hard to find something new to do. We have to give it some more thought.

We may go over to St. Johns again, it is so beautiful and quiet there. Our last 2 times we have taken an excursion there, once was an island tour the other was an Eco hike which was a lot of fun. DD did a snorkeling excursion there once too.

After our company leaves for home we will have more time to make some decisions about this, I hope. Greg always says i will do what ever you want to do. So I always seem to make the decisions for excursions. He never seems to know what we're doing until time to book them:confused3
Oh well, at least I dont have to argue to get to do what I want to do:goodvibes

see y'all soon,

kathy

Bill, Do ever worry about getting back to the ship on time taking a "non-Disney" excursion? I am signed up for Sunny Liston's tour on St. Thomas and if you are going to do St. Maarten's, I'd be willing to go that route as well. I wouldn't want to be left behind. All of you that went on Sunny's St. Thomas did you go shopping (what time did you schedule to leave?), I already know most of you thought the tour was great, did you go to the beach after? I don't remember reading about the brunch, I'll have to look into that!

Have a good day! I'm all by myself this morning. The boys spent the night at a friends and my granddaughter is off to Chicago with her parents. Lucky her!

Dawn ... You don't need to worry about getting back in time with Sunny. He does this for a living, has a wide-spread reputation, and if he slacked on that to the point where people were getting left behind, he wouldn't be in business. And trust me ... he knows all the cruise ship schedules!

Your tour will start at either 9, 10, or 11:00, depending on how much shopping time you want. You meet them, pay for the tour, then shop in downtown for however long, then board the bus at noon. After an island tour (including up the mountain), he'll drop you off at one of 3 beaches for an hour or 2 of swimming. Or, if you prefer, he'll take you back to the ship then. I believe he picked us up around 3pm and we were on one of the last tenders to the ship (Jeff was sweating bullets, but, well, you'll understand more about him once you meet him :rotfl2:) ... but Sunny gets you back in time! You just have to be ready when he comes.

As far as the St. Maarten tour, the advantage there is that we don't leave port until the evening, so there will still be lots of time between the tour and getting back to the ship. Victor, however, does require pre-payment for his tour. Tell Sunny you want on Victor's St. Maarten tour and he (Sunny) will register you and send you a Pay Pal link.

Hope that helps ...

I thought I would share a little of my world.

Elizabeth loves to be outside!

I'll ride as long as YOU last!

She melts my heart.

Besides the boys, I thought you might care to see what takes up alot of my time!

Shell, Thanks for the reassurance. It sounds like Jeff is alot like me! I'm already sweating bullets and I'm not even there! That's probably what we'll do for our excursions (I'm hoping there's not too much walking/standing but I'm not going to stay OFF the islands!).

Thanks Bill. It was a great trip but boy are our time clocks screwed up. The girls are still sleeping despite going to bed at 8:30 last night. I just finally dragged myself out of bed an hour ago but could probably sleep another 5.

i need to upload some photos to photobucket then will post a few here.

Now it's time to concentrate on mouse and bananahead related trips. Is everyone still planning the Michigan trip in mid-Sept? We are definitely going and staying at the Marriott in East Lansing.

Hey - I resemble that remark. In my defense, we were traveling with someone else's child - whose last name we didn't even know!!!!! -- and the thoughts of calling them (once we asked Stacey for their number) and telling them we were stuck in STT with their child scared the bejeebers out of me.

And Dawn, we loved the tour but we would recommend you picking the latest time for pick up since all that the earlier times do is give you more shopping time - and that's not our thing -- so unless it's yours....

As to st. maarten, we are seriously considering getting a day room at the new Westin on Dawn Beach. With the long time in port, we think it might be worth it to sample a hotel we have been curious about. We did this in Grand Cayman on the Western cruise, and we loved it - though GC is a short port stay and we had to be back earlier than I would have liked.

Happy Saturday everyone.

In your defense? You haven't had one of those since the 70s and the Steel Curtain! :lmao: (I knew that comment would bring you out!)

We are still tentatively planning on it, depending on the details. Like I said before, we want to make it a day trip, and its about a 3-hour drive to Detroit. So if we plan a lunch or late lunch, then we're in!

Hi all.
Kathy, my dad says he might make an appearance later today... so long as he remembers his password...
Jsut wanted to see what everyone was up to, I've been busy with Summer Work. [sigh]
