...She must be having a really creppy time if she actually has time to post while ON her cruise (hope you read that, Kathy....hehehe).
...
Aaawww, she just misses us all so much! :goodvibes :rotfl2:

Mornin everyone....

Holly...the Kelly song is an obscure reference to the tv show Cheers. Woody, the bartenders girlfriend was Kelly and he made this song up for her....http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8hJjx7jTHA8. Sorry Kelly, the cats out of the bag now....oh, what a mean mutt am I.

Morning everyone!! Anyone see the DCL show on the Travel Channel last night? I can recite most of it from memory now but its still a great way to kill an hour and drive yourself crazy cause you want to be on there so badly.

Josh....all dogs are crazy...they drive their families crazy...its the nature of the dog. Just remember,..."with dog, all things are possible".

you guys are funny.. :)

dkmjgal - does this mean you're going to have to cancel your 24 November cruise with us..?? :(

Sue, Kelly & Don were with us in 2006 (they are original Banana Heads and SOOOOOOOOO much fun!) but they opted out of '07 (Don and his "we-don't-have-money-for-everything-y'know" ... grrrr). We are guilting them into coming in '08!

Last year on the '06 board, we had quite a run of "singing" The Kelly Song!

After all these cruises I just learned the term fish extender and, of course, want one. Who has one and please show me!!!!

I had to look it up as I've never heard of it either! Cool idea, though ... I'll bet Kathy knows.

Thanks for theKelly song info!

We don't get the Travel Channel in our area, so I've never seen the DCL show. BUMMER! I've always wanted to just so I can feed my addiction when necessary.

Hi all....hope you all have a great weekend....we are off for four days of camping--supposed to get into the 90's:scared: I feel embarressed to complain about the 90's when it was almost 120 in Vegas  We will also have the added fun of HUMIDITY:scared1: there goes my hair :rotfl:

I watched the travel channel special last night! I was trying to put my son to sleep and flipped around and there it was!:woohoo:

We went in this morning and applied for Jackson's passport. They said it could take up to 16 weeks. We'll see! If we don't get it we may have to get another birth certificate for him so we can prove who he is!

But I swear that you look different in every picture I've seen of you. I don't think there's any chance I'll recognize you in November!!
Yeah, I get that a lot. I think it's cause I always wear my hair different:confused3. Usually the only time people recognize me is when I'm with my husband...he always looks the same:)

Well, we didn't break a record yesterday it only officially got to 116 at the airport. However, when I was driving home from work my car said it was 121:scared1: I can honestly say the only time I was outside was to walk to and from my car at work. It's so funny to not see anyone outside. The sidewalks and parks are completely empty when it's this hot.

Here are the last of my pictures:

OK, here is the worst picture of me ever but I think it's kinda funny so I will share:rotfl:

PS: Looks like we will be opening our store late next week....finally:dance3:

ok....I just got the word from above...the boards dying today....

I put this to you all.

The time on the cruise where you feel the absolute best/most relaxed/you know, that "I could do this forever" feeling.

For me, its always gonna be waking up on ship the first morning and walking up to deck 9 and getting us coffee and just scanning the ocean. (I just got all,...for lack of a better word, oogy".

Cant leave out the newbie/never cruised or never cruised disney folk....what do you EXPECT to be your favorite moment...?

Post, kids...Post!

My favorite would be ending the night with sitting on the balcony eating a Mickey Bar. We did this every night:mickeybar

We never did the mickey bars....forgive us, we were newbies.
This was the moment, btw

Well, I've only been on a 3 day disney cruise (and I was PREGNANT:scared1: ).

But I'd say the sailing-away from the dock the first day on ANY cruise is my favorite part. You have all of that excitement of what's ahead of you!!!

On the Disney cruisepirate: I just loved hearing the horn. It really is special!

Didn't we do this last month or so? Or maybe that was on my other cruise meet thread. OK.....mine is sitting on my verandah after bedtime, on sea days, watching the water go by and listening to the sound of the water splashing against the ship. :cloud9:

You know, I've never had a verandah. 2 times an outside and once an inside, but if I did ever have a verandah... that would be MY favorite too!!! Absolutely!

(I keep having to edit my own posts because I'm an idiot... geez.)

All my Disney cruises have been with verandah, but my Carnival cruise was my first time without. We did have a window though. Didn't cost much less than my verandah rooms on Disney, so I'll probably never go without again. :thumbsup2 Especially since I usually travel alone with my son....a verandah is essential so I don't feel trapped in the room when he's asleep. I can at least step on outside a tiny bit and not feel so confined. Plus I'm extremely claustrophobic!

I actually have an inside room booked on my next cruise after this one because that's all we could get. :scared: Not sure how I'll handle 15 nights in a cave! :scared1: But since I won't have my son with me for that cruise, I can go out on deck any time I want, day or night, so I'm sure I'll survive.

I did a lot of scrimping and saving to afford this cruise, and a category 12 is the bet we can do right now. We booked category 12 for our last one and got upgraded to a category 9! I was so excited! I'm keeping my fingers crossed for an upgrade again, but we will at least get a category 11 because we have 4 people.

I can totally see the value though with little kids as they do need to take naps and it would be great to have the option to go sit out there while they were sleeping!!!

Especially if there's only one parent there! I can relate to scrimping for these cruises, especially since I only work part-time. Somebody on the DIS has the screen name "Disney poor" and I absolutely love it! So perfect! :rotfl2:

Aloha

We made it. Long long day yesterday. Left the house at 6 a.m. eastern and arrived in Maui at 3 p.m. local time..or 9 p.m. at home. We kept the kids up until after 7 p.m. local time (1 a.m. at home) and I think it worked to get them closer to "on schedule" than we've ever been able to do before. The first time Elizabeth came to Maui she was 10 months old and woke up at 2 a.m. ready to play. This morning we had an early wake up (3 a.m.) but back to sleep until after 5. Emily is napping right now so I'm in the room keeping watch for the next 10-20 minutes then waking her up to head back to the pool. I slept about a half hour to try to catch MYSELF up.

Had my first Lava Flow today. :drinking1 Played in the ocean, in the sand and in the pool. The resort (the Kea Lani) we are at this week is gorgeous and has incredible service. We may head off property for a bit of exploring tomorrow but we may also just take it easy one more day to further acclimate to the time.

Haven't met any folks who are any fun yet (we need to organize a DIS trip here).

Emmy's very excited to see the hula dancers at a free on-property show at 6 tonight. Elizabeth hasn't stopped all day - between jumping waves and swimming in the pool - so she is probably going to crash earlier than anyone tonight (unless of course I do).

Hope everyone is doing well. I forgot my cords to download pics so I will have to wait until my return to do so.

TTFN

jeff

PS - Hey Kelly - Great to hear from you and thanks for the birthday wishes. Glad you are considering the 08...we haven't decided on that one yet..but I'm guessing we'll book it on the 07 this year! :cool1:

Wow... I bet that time change is a bear for you between Hawaii and the east coast! I hadn't thought of that!

Hope you have a great time and Happy Birthday!
