11/24/07 We are Better Than Leftovers!!! Nana Head reunion Part 2

I sure do love people who think like I do...
We drove in last year so we were there super early- when I have time I will tell my security story...
What rotation do you all request? I am looking for my records from last year but cannot find them- we have brunch and dinner at Palo's- did you know you can get a souffle to go? Got one for the kids last year. My kids love that night because they go to the rotation table without us and of course are cared for by the wait staff they have grown to know and love!

Hi Jeff,

Check with Lynn. I think she was on the first bus out.

We were on #3 (appropriately named Goofy!) because DH wanted to hang at the hotel and soak up the only sun we'd see that day! I don't remember what time we arrived, but the check-in lines were super short and there were already lots of nana heads waiting for us!!

I think the first bus was ready to leave around 9:00???

We're doing the bus again. Too lazy to plan anything else!!

We were on the second bus but I can't remember what time it was. I suspect we will end up doing the bus again too but I was just thinking about going in a different direction if we can get there even earlier this time!


And this time I promise to wear my banana head (or monkey brain or whatever Bill is coming up with ) shirt on the first day. I suspect the rest of the family will too now that we aren't so scared of being recognized.

Hi everyone,
wow, I go into the hospital for a few hours as an outpatient and when I get back there are tons of posts!!
Now i know how to get you to post, just get admitted to the hospital.

Jeff,
the port opens at 10:00 a.. and we started boarding about 11:15 last time.
all of my cruises we have boarded between 11 and 12:30.

WE try to get there right at 10 so I can watch for people to arrive. As most here know, I stood out to say hello for many people when they arrived.
Most I couldnt remember their names, but I knew the faces.

Lynn, stayed at the Hyatt, so post on the 08 for her and she can tell you about it. I know she did have a good experience.

well off to relax a bit, I will check back later.

Thanks Kathy. Oh we stayed at the Hyatt too but didn't get on the first bus..so I was just wondering how early it left. I think Cheri is right and it was at 9

Yes, I have had friends who caught a 9 bus but they had to be there a few minuteds early because once the fill the bus it is gone, then you have to wait for awhile.

Let's hope for a sunny forecast for the whole day that day so I can coerce DH into trying to get down there for the first bus!

Not much else going on here.

DD has decided she wants to watch Rocky & Rocky II since she saw them on TV a couple weeks back! She walks around saying, "Yo Adrian, it's me, Rocky." It's really quite amusing! A 6 YO girl pretending to be the Italian Stallion! (Luckily we only have the first 2 on video. . .)

Oh boy, the title match is about to start!

So I finally caved...I got my first pair of crocs They have Mickey heads on them...I just couldn't resist. Are they comfortable to wear all day long in the parks? I have only been wearing them around the house to get used to them.

Cafe is coming along. Walls were painted yesterday and they look great. I also found two sofas that I want to get. Wow, opening up an empty place sure is expensive...time of apply for another Credit Card Thank goodness I already have the money for our cruise..no way will I let my husband us that for the Cafe

Cheri, we went through the Rocky stuff when the first one came out.
Our oldest 2 loved it and we had just got our first VCR. We bought the tape and they played the working out scene when he is serious about fighting over and over and over again. They thought they could work out and get muscles like him.
Then which ever one played the "Eye of the Tiger song". Oh my gosh that song was on my nerves. That was the only part they played. Of course it was over and over and over again, day after day.

At the same time the younger kids were hooked on Dumbo. What a combination that was

Now it is funny, but then I could of kicked them all out of the house.

Yes, yes, yes!!!! I wore mine all day at Sea World a few days ago. They're all I wear, every day, anywhere we go. Ugliest shoes ever invented, but the most comfortable things I've ever seen!

Howdy y'all,

who has plans for the weekend??

I forgot to watch the Wonder pull out last night. Grrrrr!!! I like doing that each week since the Magic is gone.

I was dozing on the couch during that time. Yesterday was a long day for me.

This morning I take pixie in for booster shots and a check up.
Then I need to be brave and go to the grocery store for a few items since I am about out of food. I havnt really shopped accept for fresh items for 3 weeks, so it is about time to do a big shopping.

I hate doing that!!

No big plans for the weekend around here. Too hot to do much and my back is too sore to do much still. Maybe we will make it to see a movie. We have 3 of them we want to see and the theater seats are very comfortable, so it should be ok.


Lets see some posting here today or joke like this one will be posted a lot.

Miss Elizabeth swam in her first swim meet last night. She was in the maximum number of events allowed (3) - all relays. She was supposed to swim freestyle in all 3 events but someone screwed up the starting order and she had to swim butterfly in her FIRST EVER swim meet event - obviously the toughest stroke for anyone, let alone an 8 year old. With tears in her eyes through the whole length of the pool, she did a great job and her relay team won the event! In her second event, a freestyle relay, she was the second swimmer on her relay team. The first swimmer had done okay and the team was in second place. Guess who pulled them into first place - yep my little girl -- and they won that event too. The last event was a mixed relay (boys and girls) all freestyle again. Elizabeth's team finished second. This dad couldn't be prouder!

Oh and her Swim Club won the meet! woo hoo. Go Sharks!

Pixie gained 7 1/2 pounds in 3 weeks!!
and her front bottom teeth are all permanent ones now. 3 weeks ago they were baby teeth. I wonder where the baby teeth went, perhaps she ate them If so they are in the back yard by now. She eats everything else she can find

3 weeks we go back for the last shots for a year, YEAH!!!

Thanks Wendy and Kathy. Next meet is Tuesday night. It's our first one at our "home pool" and Mina and I both have jobs that night to help line up the 8 and under kids. After watching the chaos last night, I think I'm going to need a cocktail after that duty (maybe before too!)

oh yes..practice at 7:15 a.m. every day unless there is a meet that night. So we have swimming every weekday from now until we leave for Maui!
