Thanks Cruisecrzy We usually do a couple times also.

You asked the other day and I got sidetracked about robitics. Yes we do the FIRST. We are having a Daytona RobotFest Dec 13 with FTC and FLL. We had people from down your way come last year.

I need some advice. I just found out that DD will be getting a Nintendo DS for her 7th birthday. Does anybody have any suggestions for games that a 7 year old girl will enjoy?

My DD's passed along this advice. They liked Nintendogs, Hannah Montana, Littlest Pet Shop, and Build-a-bear games. My 10 year old DD got Horsez for her birthday this weekend. Hope this helps!

Forgot to mention that my docs arrived today while I was putting out my last minute Halloween decorations! Couldn't wait to get inside and check them out!

Just noticed that the documents are for my DD's only- I thought everything was sent together last time. Did anyone else have their documents split up? Hope to get the others soon! I know I said this cruise was for them but this is taking it a little far!:rotfl2:

Those with assigned days Lynn are the original part of this group - that way all the days were covered...us latecomers can pick and choose the days, since one or more people have every day covered...we will likely be making multiple runs due to the size of the box we received from OTC.

and can you say 40's tonight in South Florida!!!

:woohoo: Got my cruise docs today- now it is really official! I originally read 2 bags per person, but what if I have a couple of smaller/bakpack type bags also? Will that count towards my allowable number?

I figured while it was cold, snowy and rainy here, I would start to pick out my clothes for the cruise. Of course I had my fashion coordinator (DD 11) helping me:rotfl:. Now I have my entire bed covered with clothes but I think I have narrowed it down to what I am taking. Ok, I have to ask you ladies how many pairs of shoes do you bring? So far, I have 5 or 6 pairs.
Cheysdad ask your DW how many pairs she is bringing? I've tried to narrow them down but I don't think it's possible. That's where men have it easy they just bring brown shoes or black shoes, sneakers and/or sandals.

Brianna and I just finished making homemade cheesy potato soup. That tells me she's feeling a lot better because she is never interested in cooking.:) We had to eat in the living room though because my kitchen looks like a disney store exploded in it! I'm still trying to finish packing up my FE goodies. I am kind of concerned about how I'm going to get that stuff to the ship. I hope it will fit in just one suitcase, or my DH is going to lose it.:lmao: I need to make a quick run to Wal-Mart one last time and then I should finish up. I intend to load that stuff into a suitcase tonight so I won't be tempted to add anything else.:rolleyes1 If it won't fit in a suitcase, I may have to leave a kid at home.

Susan, glad to hear Brianna is feeling good. Cheesy potato soup sounds yummy.

I was just thinking about my FE gifts also and where we are going to fit them. I think I will be utilizing every nook and cranny in all our suitcases.

Ken, you absolutely have to get Disney Friends for the NintendoDS. My DD7 loves it and probably plays it the most. From what I can tell on the package the games include Finding Nemo, Pooh, Stitch, and Lion King. DD is a Stitch fan and his stuff is hard to find sometimes.
Changing topics---We got our documents today!! Is there anything I have to do with them right now? I filled out the online documents and it just looks like duplicates of that. We are driving to the port so we won't be using any Disney transportation. So really there is nothing new in there, is there?

We are happy to hear Brianna is feeling a lot better!! It's perfect to use a suitcase for your FE goodies, you will need that same suitcase when you leave the Magic for the goodies you will receive!! :thumbsup2 :cool1:

That soup sounds pretty yummy! Glad all went well today!

If I can't fit my stuff in the car (we are driving), I will tie DH to the roof! Seriously, last cruise we went on he packed practically NOTHING. Just a few t-shirts and 2 pairs of shorts for an 8 day cruise!!! He packed 15 minutes before we left the house. I was so mad at him :confused3 Fortunately I had his suit in my bag with my dresses. We had to stop at a store near the port to get some decent dinner clothes and a pair of dress shoes. This time I will be checking his bags before we leave the house!

GREAT NEWS!!!!!

Brianna's surgery went better than expected! The doctor was able to go in without removing any bone or even making an incision! He fished it out, and she is good to go! Thanks for all the prayers and pixie dust. It all worked!:thumbsup2

Now I guess I had better get started on homework.:rolleyes1

Susan

That is excellent news!!! :yay: :cheer2:

Teresa..do you realize the number Michael is going to give you?????

You are allowed to check 2 bags per person. You can carry on whatever you want. I am not sure about flying, but that is the rule for getting on the ship.

I used to bring lots, but I have it down to a shoe science now. :rotfl: I figure who cares if i do not totally match. I bring my beach shoes, a pair of heeled formal shoes, and dress sandals ( they are black ones with a Mickey embroidered on it but not noticeable), gym shoes for spinning and other exercise, and I wear my crocs on the ship. Of I forgot my pirate boots. I used to bring a pair for every outfit practically.

Boy does that soup sound good! We had spaghetti (Ragu). I'm not much of a cook and I don't have much time to cook by the time I get home. Late dining on the ship is a normal time for us!

I'm packing tennis shoes, dressier sandals, crocs and flip flops. And our FE stuff will be split up and shoved into every nook and cranny as well! And ladies, don't forget to have your man carry his "man purse" as well as his carry on!!! I'll let you know DH response when I tell him!:lmao:
I am a little concerned about putting my FE on the plane. It has a battery pack and wires! I know my suitcase will be opened so I guess I'll put it on the top of my clothes and let security know about it before hand!

Ken, while you're shopping for Nintendo DS games for DD, don't forget to get a few for yourself. You know you'll be playing with it too!!!:rotfl2:

I'm so excited I can barely stand it!:dance3:

Hi Stacie:wave2:  :tinker: :donald:

Docs arrived! Yeah!

Here's a question... is chunky rain good? Guess it's changing over. Areas around us have gotten 6-10 inches but we're mostly just getting a dusting. We'll probably have a couple inches by morning and the girls at Dunkin Donuts today were dreaming of a snow day tomorrow. Ha! Not happening. If anyone happened to catch NBC news tonight, the weather channel did a spot a few miles from me.

All of you Floridians must be dying in this cold. My sister said it was 43 in St Augustine this morning when they were waiting at the bus stop. She said all the kids were whining about how they were freezing. She told them to suck it up. They didn't know what cold was, ha ha. This coming from the girl who grew up in the cold, snowy north.

L2T, I am trying to keep my shoe selection down to 4 pair. I'll wear sneakers, bring tevas or keens, dress shoes and flip flops. That, of course, is subject to change but I'm determined to pack as lightly as possible. I plan to do laundry during the week. I wake early, so I'll throw in a load in the morning, go get coffee, and be back to have it dried before the family gets up. Theres no better feeling that coming home from vacation and not having 8 loads of laundry to do!

FE stuff is done and ready to pack or ship. I'm leaning towards packing it now because $15 to check the bag would probably be the same as shipping it.

We carved pumpkins tonight. My dh made a mess of poor dd's pumpkin. She wanted a cat from a pattern we had. Dh decided to eliminate several smaller cuts including the pieces from the top that support the head. Then he cut across the feet so that poor cat was only attached by one small section. Oh, and no whiskers either. The thing looks rabid!! I tried to salvage what I could, but I could only do so much with a few toothpicks. I helped ds do a skull and crossbones. It looks pretty good.

Stay warm!
