GREAT NEWS!!!!!

Brianna's surgery went better than expected! The doctor was able to go in without removing any bone or even making an incision! He fished it out, and she is good to go! Thanks for all the prayers and pixie dust. It all worked!:thumbsup2

Now I guess I had better get started on homework.:rolleyes1

Susan

I checked UPS for ours. It says the delivery date is 10/29 but it's listed as out for delivery TODAY!! Yeah! I'll be waiting by the door for our miserable UPS guy to show up this afternoon.

No snow yet, Judy. The weather is horrible though. It's about 40 with wind gusts in the 30's. My mom is getting snow 45 minutes south of me. She's expected to get about 6", high elevations will get up to 12", I'll get 1-4 and areas around me will get 3-7. The rain is supposed to change to snow by 5pm or so and be heavy between 6-12am. The only plus side to this is knowing we'll be enjoying the warmth of the carribbean in a few weeks.

Ken, it looks like your boys got a little reprieve. Hopefully when play resumes, they'll be able to hold on. I felt so sorry for those guys last night. Poor Upton was standing on 1st base with the rain pelleting him and the wind blowing so hard, his pants were fluttering. What a miserable night for baseball.

FANTASTIC!!!

That's wonderful news, Susan! Hope she is feeling back to normal soon.

Ken, I don't have many suggestions since my ds is into star wars and baseball for his ds. I know both my kids like playing Mario Kart, Diddy Kong racing and Hot Wheels. I like Big Brain Academy. I guess it depends on her interests. There are so many games; you won't have trouble finding something she'll love.

:woohoo: Woo Hoo!!! That's wonderful news. :thumbsup2 I'm so glad everything went well.

I also forgot to mention that I checked the UPS site, and my package should be arriving on my doorstep at any moment.:cool1:  :cheer2: :yay: :dance3: :thumbsup2

Susan - Wonderful, wonderful news!!!! I've been thinking about you guys all morning! Please let Brianna know we're all so relieved and we'll see her soon! (on the bridge at 9pm, 11/21/08!!):woohoo:

Maybe my docs:donald: will come early too, I'm getting jealous. But knowing our TA (Ms. Hurlbutt), she'll call next week when she feels like it. I'll bug her until she can't stand it any more! I know she's doing the 7 day Magic the week before we are so she better call me as soon as it comes in.

Ken,
Our DS has a PSP but I'm sure there are a ton of games for little girls. I would imagine there's Barbie and Princess stuff. I think they have lots of Disney. I remember reading that WDW has or had a program for Nintendo DS at MK. I borrow the PSP a lot because you can watch movies. I have 2 Monty Python's (big fan), Kill Bills, Pirates and a few others.

I just did the UPS track by reference and it said DELIVERED! I went down to the front door and there it was inside the stormdoor. YEAH!:thumbsup2

(OK, no fair, it was my husband's stateroom, not mine)

I need some advice. I just found out that DD will be getting a Nintendo DS for her 7th birthday. Does anybody have any suggestions for games that a 7 year old girl will enjoy?

Yes! Animal Crossing, Mario Kart, and if she likes animals, the virtual pet ones like Nintendogs or Catz. The Hannah Montana and High School Musical games are generally too hard for that age. My DD9 had trouble with them (though part of it is she's rhythmically challenged.) I recommend getting a good case that will hold (and protect) the DS along with holding a lot of games. Those things are small and easy to lose. At $30 each, that is a costly loss. I also have a DS as do all my DD's friends and my friends, so if you have any specific game questions, I'd be happy to try to answer them.

GOT MINE TOO!!! Yeah, baby!

It's a much smaller package than we got for our last cruise in '04.
I'm going to wait until DS gets home to open it. The suspense might kill me though.

That sucker would have been opened before the door was closed!

Just talked to my TA. She said she's expecting it to come soon and assured me she will call my cell phone as soon as it comes. She also said she mailed out my AKL rebooking refund check yesterday. (Thank you again Susan!) :dance3:

Well, I'm sure you all won't be too surprised, but I said the heck with homework and have been putting FE bags together all afternoon.:lmao: I'll worry about homework tomorrow when I'm home with Brianna. I thought I should do something fun today.:thumbsup2 I may be working on them until tomorrow morning though! We've got a rather large group, and my hands are getting tired of twist ties and curling ribbon! LOL! I plan to get them finished and packed in a suitcase today (insert smiley crossing fingers here).

Susan

Susan glad to hear everything worked out. :)

We have about 1/2 inch of snow on the ground, it now has changed back to rain. Really strong winds and it is just a complete mess. No field hockey practice for DD tonight.

I am not much of a poster on the boards, but my family and I will be on the cruise with you all. Just wanted to pass a little info. If you go to UPS and track by reference, enter your cruise confirmation numbers and zip code and you will see the scheduled delivery day of the documents.

:cloud9: Welcome aboard. I was born and rasied in the Northwest Suburbs of Illinois before moving to a warmer snow-free climate a decade ago. Stay warm!!:thumbsup2

Are you doing the Fish Extender????

Susan that is so great about your daughter. And you are too funny with your elaborate FE stuff. I hear the best thing for fingers tired of twisting and curling is a Conch Cooler :rotfl:

Also there was someone who posted a day or two ago about the FE? I cannot remember the name but are they joining. We are working on organizing things today.....we are not as elaborate as Susan though....just grouping by ages and gender.....do not think a teenage boy would like glitterly lipgloss :rolleyes1

So I too just looked and my docs should be there today. It says tomorrow but it's on the truck for delivery so I am guessing they are a day early.

Susan great news!!:cheer2:

Hi everybody !! I have not been on in a while.

Susan So sorry to hear about Brianna. I am glad all went well today.

Question about FE. Are most people doing just one delivery or a few things a couple of times. I also saw someone wanting to added to the FE when I was reading to catch up acouple pages back. I don't want to miss anyone. Lynn:banana:

Susan...so glad to see that Brianna's procedure today went better than expected! Forget the homework and do something fun!!!

We just finished organizing our FE stuff and we will do at least two deliveries and have enough to do three deliveries....so I shall see how it goes.

We're doing our scheduled day and the morning of Pirate night because I had to get something that needs to be delivered that day!pirate:
