11/22/08 Thanksgiving 2008 cruise thread. Double Dipping Travelling Turkeys!

I think what I have really is a birth certificate, but it doesn't have a registration number on it. It says, "Certificate of Birth Registration" and "NY State Dept. of Health, Bureau of Vital Records" with the raised seal.
They weren't sure if it would be excepted for the passport without a reg. #. I'm wondering if they didn't put registation numbers on them back then.

As for my 1st grade crush, I moved and never saw him again. His mom said he lives in Mass. now and has a little girl.

And Ken, I'm not sure I like that comment about an expiration date.

Stacie - thanks for the link. I will check it out today. Our last cruise our DS was 3 months away from his 13th birthday and they let him go to both Aloft and Oceaneers. I don't think they enforce it that much. He explained that his friend was already 13 and they wanted to be together.

Just got back from the post office. It still cost me $46, but at least I know I'll get it asap.

I have a question about our Palo reservation if anyone can help. We wanted to have dinner with my BIL and his wife - but there are none available for 4 people. So - we have a reservation for Thurs nite for two of us and Sun nite for my BIL and wife. My BIL doesn't want to go on the first night - it is his son's bday and we all want to have dinner together on first night. Should we hold on to the reservation and try to change onboard. If we can't change it -would he have to pay anyway? Thanks!

Yes we are dressing up!!! We wear pirate costumes. You will see anywhere from very fancy theatrical pirate costumes all the way down to homemade pirate costumes. It's a lot of fun!!!

We are also dressing up as long as we can fit our costumes into our suitcases. My DS doesn't want to dress up, but my husband, daughter, and myself have costumes that I'm planning on having us wear.

We did buy DD9 a new one. She outgrew the one from the last cruise and DH was not having her show her belly. He tells her girls that show their belly in their clothes are just too poor to buy real clothes. He's going to have a hard time with her teen years. I bought DD2 a really cute one at Disney. It was on sale, if you can believe that. But I just wanted to show we dress up! We love it, especially DH.

Well with Halloween coming up I am hoping to buy one and use it for the cruise. It's so much fun. I didn't do my homework on this stuff my first cruise and wish I had known what I know now.
Shay, that is really cute. If you don't use it I know who might want to use it.
