HOORAY!!!!! HOORAY!!!!!!!!! HOORAY!!!!!! :cool1: :cheer2: :yay: :beach: :dancer:

How was the Adventurers Club?

Fun as always. But I'm even more upset it's going away now that I got to experience it again. Though the blender was broken and I could only get a Kungaloosh on the rocks. I really don't see why they are closing it down. It could totally fit in with the shops and restaurants they have planned.

We actually booked this cruise onboard about 2 years ago. We originally booked a 3 night cruise that was scheduled for last year sometime. When we switched it to November 22, we go tthe 10% and 200OBC still. GREAT POLICY!

We also changed our plans and got to keep the 10% and onboard credit.

Thanks for the advice. I guess I will wait until we sail and find out what they are willing to do. DH and DS started moaning about not having enough time at WDW this trip. They're not big sailors, I'm the one drawn by the lure of the sea. They'll enjoy themselves but they will miss WDW. So next year we'll have to shorten the length of the cruise. My dream is to do a repositioning cruise through the Panama Canal. Or a Med. cruise. Or I could just live on the ship!! Don't think I would want to work on it though. It looks like those kids are working 24 hours a day.

Well, I'm feeling rather sad this morning. Midwest Airlines dropped us and is giving us a refund. So, we do not have flights for our cruise.:sad2: They cannot accomodate us and will do nothing but give a refund, which is not really what I wanted. We only paid $837 for our four tickets because I had a free ticket, and I booked the day they released the flights. Now, it looks as if it will cost us more than $2000. Last night, my DH said we had to cancel. He's a little better this morning, but I've had a rotten last 24 hours! Send some pixie dust our way!:grouphug:

Here's hoping you have a better day today. pixiedust:
Is this normal practice for airlines to just drop your reservation? I really don't get it. They offered the tickets at that fare; I think they should honor them.

I don't get it. I thought they had to reaccomodate us, but I guess not.:confused3 No matter what happens, I'll never fly midwest again!

OH NO! That is really a bunch of garbage on Midwest's part. Where are you getting the $2000 from? Just curious if you are using some of those search engines where the airlines actually bid on your ticket.

Ya gotta keep believing in the magic!! :wizard:
I don't understand why Midwest did that. Did they give you an explanation? What do they mean by they can't accommodate you?
Here's hoping things get straightened out and you can find cheaper flights.
I looked everyday for about a month and finally found some that we could afford. I checked expedia, priceline, cheapoair, and directly with the airlines (Airtran, US Air, Southwest and United). Finally got the cheapest directly through Airtran. They did change the departure times on us a month later but they also let us pick any other flight we wanted to make up for the cancellation (at no extra charge)Keep looking and I'm sure you'll find something.

I checked all of the online agencies like expedia, travelocity, etc. for flights. I also checked with airlines directly. We even looked at all of the airports within driving distance from Kansas City and Orlando. The cheapest flights we found were with air tran, but they were still $1900 plus the cost of bags with stops. Pretty much everything else was atleast $2000--most involved layovers and southwest had flights that were nonstop. In the end, we went with southwest because the times were perfect and the flights were nonstop. However, we'll be eating pb&j until our cruise to make up the price difference.;) I never thought I'd pay that much for airfare, but I guess one gets desperate when you know there is "magic" in your future.:lovestruc

Glad to hear that you were able to make travel arrangements. Eating pb&j isn't such a bad trade for still being able to cruise. Just think how great everything will taste on board!
We're flying Southwest too, but we get in to Orlando at midnight. I'm not concerned about the late arrival time, just the fact that if the flight is cancelled (or delayed too long), we don't have a back up plan to get to port before the ship leaves. :worried:

Disneypoor - I just noticed this on my AOL homepage. Although it didn't mention Orlando, I wonder if this has something to do with Midwest dropping your reservation.

"MILWAUKEE - Citing the struggle with rising fuel costs, Midwest Airlines has announced it will cut its flight schedule, dropping flights to leisure destinations and retaining departures to core business destinations on which the company built its base. The changes roll back the Milwaukee-based service to levels that existed at the start of the decade — before a recession and the 2001 terrorist attacks.

Flights to San Diego, as well as Fort Lauderdale, Fla., and Fort Myers., Fla. will be cut entirely. Tampa will be the only Florida city retaining year-round service from Midwest."

A friend had called me about a week or so ago and told me about this. I told her I wasn't worried because my flight had been sold out for months.:rolleyes1 Guess I should have been worried, huh?;)

Lora ~ How's Mackenzie doing?

You mentioned extenders, on the character name thread... I haven't even thought about an FE. Are you making one? I so do not have any talent for sewing. Unless I find one while I'm out shopping sometime, I probably won't have one.

Sandy

Mackenzie is still having bouts of pain. She was really in a lot of pain last night, and I called her doctor. He told me that he couldn't admit her every time she had a flinch of pain. It really aggrivated me, but we gave her the Tylenol with Codeine and it quieted her down some. We keep praying that she'll pass it soon.

As for the FE's, I can sew, but I've got way too many irons in the fire at this point. There is a lady who works in the coffee shop at the hospital that sews. Bob gave her a few pictures of some FE's and she is going to make them for me.

I am trying to finish up 2 scrapbooks and then I need to finish a quilt that I started for McKenna last year. Before our cruisr in May of last year, I cross stitched each of the princesses and had then autographed. My intention was to frame each of them. However my grandma who was an avid quilter died last July. So instead of framing them, I made them into a quilt. This one is for Mackenzie. We want to take it and have photos taken with each princess and her. I was working on Minnie for McKenna on the cruise and I still don't have it finished. I want to get it done so that I can do the same for her.

I am making my FE gifts--any idea how nany I'll need? I don't want to reveal what it is yet. In case I can't pull it off.

Lora

Not that I am counting, but it in exactly 4 months (123 days), our sail away party will have sunset, and those of us with early dining, will have full bellies and just starting our festivities.

Now I have a request, in order to help to get to know each other, what about signing our names at the end of the posts. Due to popular misbelief, my real name is NOT Seadooken. Most people just call me Ken.

Sorry about the double post, but the 4 month mark has me a bit EXCITED. Can somebody check my math. The 105 day mark for those of you (not me) to make ressies is Aug 9, the 90 day mark, which I assume is most of us is Aug 24th, and the 75 day mark is September 8.

Ken

I was just telling my friend we're going with that the 90 day mark is coming up. Since I have to make Flounder's reservations along with Palo's and the spa, I wanted her to make sure she was paid up.

(name already below)

Why is my ticker always wrong? I don't get it.
