Did you already pay off your cruise? I want an upgrade!

No we haven't paid it off yet--just the deposit. And the weird thing for me is that I asked for a specific stateroom when I booked because I wanted to be in cat 9 on 2nd level not 1st level. So I am not cat 9 GTY, so I was not expecting to be upgraded. I was under the assumption they wouldn't upgrade an assigned room, luckily I was wrong.

Do you think my pixie dust will hold out long enough to get moved to 1st seating at dinner?

Maybe I'll get your old cat 9 on deck 2, that's what I want. Unless you want to take that back and give me your verandah. ;) :rotfl:

I'd rather have that pixie dust thrown my way. With a 2 year old, late seating is going to be a nightmare. She goes to bed at 8, not eats then. I have requested earlier, but I know I'll have to rush to get that on the ship.

Are you planning on arriving early, so you can get a low number boarding card? If so, you shouldn't have a problem. Good Luck!:goodvibes

I am, we're driving over that morning. Last time we did that, we were some of the first on the ship. We had to go eat because the area wasn't open yet. We have a group of 8 with the family we're travelling with, so I'm hoping that doesn't hurt us. We may just leave them behind. :rolleyes1

Thanks for the pixie dust! Now I need some to get her potty trained by then so she can enjoy the pool. :lmao:

I purchased my non-refundable airfare today, so there's no turning back for us now. I had to choose between a 12 pm or 5 pm return flight on the date we disembark and went with the 12 pm. I hope we make the flight. :scared:

Hey Jason, we have a 12:50pm flight back. What airline did you go with? Are you using DCL transportation or renting a car or using a car service? I think we are going to get a car service, just so we can be sure to be back to the airport early enough.

We had a noon flight last cruise...we scheduled a private towncar pick up which was waiting when we left the ship....made it to the airport with time to spare!!:goodvibes

Glad to hear this...like I said in a previous post we have a 12:50pm flight and I was a little worried about the timing. What time did you leave the ship?

My tentative plan right now is to rent a car on arrival the day before we set sail, but to use a service to get back to the airport upon return. On our last cruise, I found using a rental car to get to the port to be pretty stress free. But when we disembarked it was not as stress free to fight to get on a shuttle back to the car rental office, then drive back to the port to pick up the family and the luggage. Plus, since time will be a concern, I think a car service is my best bet. By the way, we're flying Airtran out of Philly.

Come on now Jason, fighting for a van ride back after a wonderful cruise was tons of fun.

Michael, I don't recall whether we rode the same shuttle (but your post reminds me that we may have). The whole getting on the shuttle and getting the car was a bit of a downer at the end of the cruise. Plus, the rental agency told me that they didn't have the passenger van (I had 8 passengers) I had ordered and prepaid for in advance and offered me two sedans (while I was the only driver with the other 7 waiting for me at the port). The bottom line is that I'd rather avoid that experience again. I'll be sure to wave to you as you're squeezed into the rental shuttle as we depart in a limo.;)

Hey Jason,

Which airline did you go with and where are you flying out of?
