11/22/08 Thanksgiving 2008 cruise thread. Double Dipping Travelling Turkeys!

For YEARS, I have been meaning to get over to the festival. THis time of year is just so hectic for us and we never seem to make it. WHats your opinion . . . I have a 6 year old that loves Epcot. Would she be bored to death at the Festival?

Hi everyone, just catching up.

Ken, we don't have children but the festival is fun. Does she like to try new things to eat? Even if she doesn’t, I don't think boredom would be a problem for an Epcot lover.

Thanks for room the list, we are 2110. For a while we considered upgrading but decided to keep this one. Now if DCL would like to put us in a higher cat then there will be no complaints from me! Seriously, it's been a rough year financially so we are thrilled to be going at all.

All this talk about cheese soup, frozen mojitos, slushies and that wonderful drink of the day is killing me as I gnaw on my not so yummy Fiber One bar.

Dissers, next time you see me I will be going crazy at the dessert buffet with that drink of the day (maybe two) in my hands.

Hi! Thanks for posting your room number. Yours is one that I didn't have, so I'm getting closer to having my FE list ready. I'm working on FE bags today. Only four more weekends to get this stuff done!

Sorry to post two times in a row, but I was wondering if I could get some names from some of you? I'm working on my FE's and need to know the names of kids in the following groups:

herrqsmee
cruisecrzy (the group with a DD4)
Icemanpad (Mason, right?)

I have all of the ages, but I'd like to know names if I can so I can address their FE bag.

Here I am posting two times in a row again. I finished my homework early this weekend, so I thought I'd organize an FE list for myself. I couldn't get Michelle's to open because it's in Photoshop, so if there is anyone that needs a list in Microsoft Word, just let me know. I put all of the kids' names on mine (with the exception of the few I'm missing) so that I could personalize their bags. So, if you're interested in having a copy, just let me know. I don't want to hurt any feelings or anything like that, but I just don't have photoshop , so I couldn't open Michelle's copy or edit it to add the kids' names.

I organized it by deck and color like Michelle did and don't mind sharing at all.

Well, guess what? I got one big thing out of the way so I don't have to worry about it on the cruise. The Stomach Flu!! I have been in bed all weekend and running a fever too. I have finally broken the fever and crawled out of bed. I am still quite sore, who knew the work out that can do to you?
So with that out of the way I am sure to have a very healthy week away right?
Now I have so much to do that I didn't get done yesterday. And why is it that the rest of the family doesn't see the kitchen looking like a tornado hit it but me?

My DD tends to like to try new things, especially desserts so she loves F&WF. Plus, when we stop to eat, we let her play at the Kidcot station or coloring stations added for the festival. I realized it was easier and more fun when I went without the kids last weekend, because with kids it takes a lot longer to get around the world. But it was still fun. If you can go with friends that have kids your DD's age, you'll be even better off (but slower.)

Hi everyone! All this talk about icy slushy drinks made me thirsty so I got myself a Pepsi Max! Yum.
Had a good time in Erie although I would have loved to have gone to Epcot with all of you. The symphony was very good. Grieg and Wagner.

My sister has agreed to go on a 3 day Wonder cruise in Feb with me!!!! Just the 2 of us. I almost fell over when she said she would. My mother had been talking to her about it and helped convince her that she should go. My mom was a traveler until about 3 years ago when her health declined to the point where it is hard for her to walk. She thinks traveling is one of the smartest things you can invest in and promotes it as much as she can. She spent her 80th birthday on the back of an elephant in Thailand! (she's 87 now). So now I have another trip to occupy my time after this one. The price is right too. I can't believe how cheap!
I bought a few more FE things yesterday as well as new sneakers for the trip! The new Disney Outlet store isn't opening until Nov 15. I'll just have to go back up won't I?
