Hi all. Just realized there was a thread for this Double Dip cruise. We are booked on this as well. There will be four of us including our two children 4 & 2. This will be our first Disney cruise and are getting excited about it. We are going to the parks 2 days before the cruise staying at the CBR and then after the cruise staying at the POFQ for a few nights as well.

I browsed this thread and since its over 200 pages long that is allot of reading. Can someone provide the highlights? Is there a scheduled meet up? Parties?

Thanks for letting me know the room assignments came out yesterday. I'm going to join the Conga line John started as we also scored a cat 4 on deck 8! (8588) Mickey called this morning (woke my lazy butt up) and said he'd be working on the upgrade list I gave him a few weeks ago. Seems he's made a good start, so I might have to invite him over again for some more wine.

Congrats on your pixie dust!! You do realize that this is Mickey's way of enticing you to spend some more of your $$$ with him for an AP, right?

We have a workbook for our group that contains a wealth of information on all of us, shore excursions, FE and Secret Mickey participation, etc. PM me with your email address and I'll send you a link. Many of us are also linking our dining reservations so that we can sit together in the same area of the dining room. There's a link in my signature about that and a place to fill in your reservation # in the workbook if you would like to be a part of that.

Good morning everyone! All this Pixie Dust tells me our cruise is still nowhere near full. Strange since it is such an awesome itinerary. I got some more good news. The Cat 9 that we were assigned did not have a steamer trunk. I was able to call and get switched to a different Cat 9 that DOES have one and is also in a little better location. We are now in room 2584 . Good luck to the rest of you. Hopefully this is just the first wave of PD.

That's great Sharen. Now, don't forget to update the workbook with your new room #. I'd also PM mrp and elderfam so that they can update the mini nav.

What is a steamer trunk? Does room 6511 have one?

A steamer trunk is a piece of furniture with shelves in it, that looks like a trunk. Which explaination is probably helpful ONLY if you are old enough to remember "trunks" other than a car trunk.

Make sure that you have the screen maximized. When I do that, I can see my entire sig. However, I have a 24" monitor, so maybe it doesn't show up on smaller monitors. Let me know if you can't see it with the screen maxed and I'll play around with my sig.

The regular cat 11s do not have steamer trunks, but I believe the sideways cat 11s do have them .

Just checking in! Congrats to everyone who got free upgrades!!! Interesting to see how much room is left on this boat, eh?

Also, I LOVED the sideways Cat 11 room on my last cruise. Having the door open into the living room and the bed to one side was an awesome layout!! Hope you like it.

The sideways I was in last October had one. LOVE then as it becomes DH's dresser.

You have an awesome time and we can't wait to see all the pictures. We spent a week at the world last year before our Oct cruise - actully, year ago today we were at WDW. DH took all sorts of pics last year.

I too am packing a little. Ok, fess up, who has started filling suitcases? I am still on the hunt for shoes for formal night, and dresses for the girls.

Has anyone received their docs yet? I think they may start arriving soon don't you think?

OMG, Haven't checked the boards in Let's see 2 days and we are 3 pages ahead.

So, I shall say a hello to the new members and congrats to the people with sideway rooms, whatever that means.

I must say my room seemed sideways a couple of times, must have been something I ate.

That eating - it will get you everytime! And, just so you know, a sideways room is a cat. 11 cabin that is layed out horizontally instead of front to back. Instead of walking in by the bathrooms and closet, the door opens into the couch area with the bathroom to the right and the bed to the left (could be vice versa depending on the plumbing).

I should pack for this weekend but just not really up to it tonight. Maybe after some supper I will feel more like it, but not thinking so much so.

Yes, today is the Official Cut-off. In fact, I'm heading to the Dollar Store after work to look around and start buying my FE gifts.

Congrats to all who got pixie dusted with upgrades! I looked and no pixie dust for us...but I am not complaining cause we booked a secret verandah room so really I have nothing to complain about as I will have a wonderful verandah to relax on...I just love laying in bed in the morning and looking out at the water! Nothing better than that!

I called Disney yesterday to check on our airfare and they said they book at 30 days not 45 I guess I will have to wait impatiently another 15 days....Really does not seem real without knowing our flights yet..

Does anyone know if they are still offering 50% discount on board?..I really hope so cause then maybe Alaska will become a reality!

Heck if there was a 50% discount, I would be doing annual Disney cruises! I am so happy to hear how you guys are describing the sideways category 11, I think it will be great for our family. We really only sleep and shower in the cabin anyways!
