The topic discusses the rush to create a vaccine and the short time in testing before the vaccine is administered. It also briefly touches on the complications associated with the 1976 swine flu vaccine. As with all vaccines there are potential risks involved. I just personally found this interesting and thought I would share it.

Oh, and I have the Teenie Baggallini and I love it. It is very lightweight, durable, and has several pockets that hold everything I need for a day at the parks.

Hi Everyone,
We all got our flu shots last week. DH is getting his tomorrow at CVS. My pediatrician said the H1N1 is out yet, at least in California. They are getting them soon though.

Teen FE's done!...kids done!...adult will be done this weekend. I was wondering about all the unassigned rooms too...making my list, checking it twice!

Up late tonight working on my FE....what I have learned so far is that I CANNOT sew! I've been slaving away for over 2 hours and all I have is a long piece of fabric with one lousy pocket!! But I am DETERMINED to get it done this weekend, one way or another.

Please no one laugh at me when you see my FE hanging on our door held together with duct tape and paper clips.

Well I hope u can get the Alaskan cruise at a good price on monday morning. I had a friend of mine book my PC for me since he is a gold member already. This double dip is going to be my second cruise. The first was the 2008 PC. My son will be only 4 in 2011 so we thought we would make the PC 2011 our last big vacation during the school year.

Morning shift, checking in!

If anyone ever gets to Albany, NY, Franklin's Tower is a hidden gem. The whole place is about 12 feet wide, the ground floor dominated by a bar, backed up with half a dozen high backed booths with coat hooks on the ends. The floor is still paved with the tiny hexagonal ceramic tiles from the 19th century. At the end of the room is an ancient shoe shine stand with space for 3 gents at once. You can almost hear the whispers of the political machine bosses from days of old. But as soon as you get your plate you're whisked directly to today.

I had salmon, rolled around veggies and tied with a leek on a bed of crab and spinach risotto. OH YUM. A solid 9. The gentleman had the days special, pan seared swordfish, artisticly arrayed on a bed of baby veggies and fingerling potatos. Another solid 9. Caeser salad decorated with nice crumbly slabs of parmesan - lovely. The desserts, not so much - creme brulee with a nicely flamed sugar top but the creme part was lacking substance and flavor, hazelnut pot au creme - rated "eh", and flourless chocolate cake that got no comment at all, but did disappear. dinner for 4 with 2 glasses of wine and 2 beers, $130. We'll be back. The band - well, they're very good, but the venue was way too small for such a big sound. Either that, or we're too old.

We did the May PC 2008 with an 8 month old and had a blast!! I can tell you it was HOT, so we spent lots of time in the pool. I'd love to go again but we just dont have the extra vacation time....darn jobs get in the way of all our fun!

After much research, we've decided to go in June rather than late August. It tends to be rainier in late August and it gets dark earlier too. So we're looking at June 14th or June 21st.

to anyone that I have missed. Crazy week this past week and with the wedding next week, I don't expect it to be any less hectic. If you are new to cruising, this is a great bunch to ask as there are several experienced DCL cruisers in our midst.

Virginia - GREAT job on the shirts. How are yours coming xxcell? You could do something mirror image intentionally and see if any of us notice. I probably wouldn't.

Only in the upper 50's and rainy today. I think I am going to take a nap - sort of late but that is what is so nice about being home alone, I can do exactly as I please. Yeah, like I pretty much don't when he is home???
