WAY to go Linda on getting that done. Mine won't take me all that long I am not thinking - so long as I can get DH to get that dang puzzle of the table so I have space to work on them. I am sort of saving that until post-wedding too.

I started my Packing List last night as a Google Doc. That way, when I think of something to add to the list, I can sit down at the nearest computer and add it to the list. Given my creaky old brain, if I don't write it down the minute I think of it, I'm toast. Within the next few weeks, I'll merge some of the lists I've seen here on the DIS, but at least this way I've got some of things specific to us on the list.

This weekend I'm going over to my girlfriend's house to finish our door magnets and print them out. She's an artist with the latest version of Photoshop, so she can take all the blanks that I've downloaded and personalize them for us, plus, she's got a color printer. I bought 2 packages of the Avery matte finish magnetic paper based on the recommendations from the magnet thread. Hopefully, all will go well and my kids won't wander downstairs and notice us doing it. We're distracting them with Rock Band.

I guess I need to convince DH that we really need to do the Wonder Panama Canal sailing and Alaska with DCL in 2011!

I tried selling the idea of saving $$ on the return flight if we take the last Alasaka cruise and stay on the ship for the repo back to LA. DH didn't buy it...

Do you have a Thurs brunch reservation? I think what you're seeing is your own reservation, because I see a dinner reservation available, but only at the time and date I already have a reservation for.

Are you all doing the dolphins "on the sly"? What I mean is if you had to fib to make your reservations, do you want to advertise it?

I guess I don't understand the question. I didn't think you had to go through Disney for the dolphin thing..... we just made our ressies on our own.

Love the shirts, but agree on logo, except the date, If we can wrap the text around the picture and the date below, that would be cool.

Okay, now that everyone's had a chance to answer I'll look over the suggestions this weekend and see what I can do. I will remove the logo (except the date.... but I'll probably put just the date of the dip on it instead of the whole cruise), bring the shadowing up closer to the letters (if it's still included at all... will have to see what it looks like) and wrap the lettering around the top and sides with the date on the bottom.

BTW... I didn't make the picture. I'm not that good an artist. I found that picture online. And I found the D letters online (the ones with the dolphins in them) and then I just put everything together. That's my only skill is in how to put it together.

They will be celebrating their 40th Anniversary on the ship and I would love to find a way to help join in their celebration even though i can't be there. This is where I need help. Would any of you consider decorating their door with magnets either all at once or a few times along the week. What about leaving them some gifts at their door, if I sent things to you?

That'd distract me!!!! Is it the Beatles version? I want that sooooooooooooo badly!!!! But first I gotta get a game system. And the only one I want is the Wii. Because I can't handle the controllers for the other ones -- too many buttons. What happened to a joystick and a single button?!? I tried to play a war game with my son one time and he said "Mom, just walk with me". I looked at the controller with two joysticks, several buttons on the front and additional buttons up on the top of the thing, and then looked at him and plaintively said "How?????"

Yes, it is the Beatles version. I love the Wii, it's much more intuitive than those other gaming system controllers (OK, hit A and X simultaneously, move the joystick to run, now do the combo C Z A D for the berserker move!)

We do have guitar hero and I love the wii fit (even though I have not done it for many months ugh..) I need some motivation!

I logged on to Disney today and it is 59 more days!!!!!

Denise - Sorry to be confusing about the dolphins. I have read that in some ports the dolphin places have contracts with DCL and they will not allow you to book directly with them if you are on a DCL cruise. People have found ways to get around it (you know how resourceful DISers can be!). I just didn't know if that was the case with your group. Hope I make more sense now (but then again, when do I ever REALLY make any sense?).

You *can* ship packages to a resort Sandie. I might choose FedEx over UPS though, based on the recent experience of my friend Belle, on another board. She mailed her FE and FE gifts, some "meet" prizes, stuff for her daughter's basket, and some toiletries to Coronado springs. When she got the package, it had been opened and retaped. The only things in it were the toiletries - all her hard work was gone, gone, gone. Hope you are feeling better, soon!
