I talked to DCL today and we can link our dining reservations together to all sit in the same area.

Too cool!!! At least when I say goodbye after my fast food dinner :rotfl2: I'll know where to go to say g'bye to everyone.

Okay, dolphin folks.... I finished the graphic but I don't think I like it. Y'all give me your suggestions on how to make it better. And once it's done, if anyone wants to put it on t-shirts I think it would be kind of fun if many of us were wearing similar shirts. Totally up to everyone's own preferences, of course.

Anyway... here it is ... y'all let me know.

Dolphins.jpg

It's on a white background so if we do t-shirts white would probably be best (and cheaper too! :rotfl2:)

I love the dolphin pictures and the "Dolphin D". My suggestion would be to remove the cruise logo - I think it adds too much clutter - and then re-arrange the words. Something like leave the Disney's Delirious where they are but move Double Dippers to the right side and slant them to the right. Then put Do the Dolphins on the line below that and see if you can frame it with the slanted words.

Yup, what she said....:rotfl::rotfl:

Wow everyone is busy!!! I like many of you have not done anything yet either. Yikes! After this week at work I NEED a vacation (and it is only Monday)! November 14th can not get here soon enough...I just have to keep thinking about having a drink in my hand at the sailaway party. I went through my magnets from our last cruise, not to many I can recycle as I put the dates on everything!

Has anyone booked air through Disney? When do your flights show up?

Well, I was looking for my old fish extender too, I cannot find and then realized I am not doing the fe...since the kids are not there, but maybe I will do Secret Mickey...what are the rules and limits for the gifts?

I answered my own question!!!!!! haha.

Hmmmm, not sure what the problem is. Sounds like they haven't heat set enough ... I usually print mine off on cardstock and then laminate them and add a magnet to the back (cheaper for me than magnetic paper).

I hope no one was offended by the "loser" label - I include myself in that group - I too need some more luggage, haven't even thought about what we are going to pack and still need to sort thru the kids clothes - they won't stop growing, no matter how many bricks I put on their heads.....

But the offer still stands, if anyone wants me to do them some signs, just PM me your stateroom#, favourite characters and any special events you would like to share with the people who will stop to look at your gorgeous door!!:):)

Cheers,
Lisa

ok. so As far as I can remember on my first cruise 2 yrs ago, I had a wonderful corndog on the first day at topsiders after boarding...never saw another since. I couls swear its one of DCl best items :goodvibes. Has anyone else encountered them? Where? Are they at Parrot Cay during about eatting embarkation day lunch??? I was thinking about eatting there for lunch.

Man we had a good time tonight. Mickey showed up with Pluto; the dogs played poker, and big gloves & me polished off a whole ring of cheese.

So I asked him about the confusion of which night is pirate night. He said it's (mostly) up to the Captain. On occasion he will extend a docking so the crew can have some extra time ashore. Since Cozumel has a pier and GC doesn't, Mexico is logistically easier and therefore the best choice during a western. Only you can't have a deck party when half the crew is missing! So that is why it is sometimes switched.

Mickey said they prefer a Wed nite party because the 'Grumpy level' goes way up after a full day at Grand Cayman, an evening deck party, and then another full day ashore in Cozumel. The Wed evening party allows you to sleep in the next day and not miss much more than breakfast.

I reminded him of our 'puff fest' Tues night and received that special Mickey wink when I asked for Wed night. And that's good enough for me :lmao:

Thanks for the comments on the shirt. I'll give it some more time to see if anyone else has suggestions but then I'll work on the shirt again. Thanks again!!!

Not a dolphin dipper, but I think I'd get rid of the drop shadow on the disney's dolphin double dip , or at least bring it closer to the letter itself - my eye finds it very hard to read

LOVE the picture, though, and the wording of the title.

Are you all doing the dolphins "on the sly"? What I mean is if you had to fib to make your reservations, do you want to advertise it? Just wondering about the "contracts" the dolphin places have with Disney and if they would get suspicious if they knew you were on a Disney cruise. I wouldn't guess they would turn away your $$$ for any reason, but I'm just extra paranoid. I love the graphic though. Wish I was so talented!

I am so excited..... The boat will be all done up for the holidays:santa::santa:
that is more then I could ask for ... with this being my first cruise... :confused wondering if I should bring a Christmas tree with me for our room... with the cruise co close and christmas only 97 days away.... I can't seen to keep it all together......:goodvibes

I have 9 cruises DCL cruises under my belt and one on Princess. Only once did I have a problem booking an excursion on my own and had to do it through the cruise line (the railroad in St. Kitts). And, the vendor always knows we are cruising and what ship we are on as it is always on their reservation form. But, I am not participating in either dolphin excursion so I can't really respond specifically regarding these two excursions.

my 2 cents, thats all I will have left after this cruise, so I need it back :lmao:

Love the shirts, but agree on logo, except the date, If we can wrap the text around the picture and the date below, that would be cool.

Just my 2 cents, and please give it back, when you are done with it;)

Anyway, good job HM :thumbsup2

I do have a question about the door magnets...I actually made a few last week and thought they turned out cute; used the magnetic paper and my fairly decent HP printer. I let them dry for several days before I handled them...but when I picked them up, anywhere I touched them the ink was coming off all over the place. Anyone else have this happen? What am I doing wrong? Or is this just the way they turn out...and if so...how do I keep them looking nice until we're on board? My mickey's ears have all turned gray.

BTW, no one else should feel like a loser...I have:
-not started packing (ummm....don't even own suitcases yet)
-not started my FE, though I did buy the material
-haven't even DECIDED on FE gifts

So I'd better get on it!! :rolleyes1

I had that problem when I used the glossy magnet paper. I use a Lexmark 4 in 1. I order matte magnet paper online, and they are fine. Also with the glossy once they were dry, they got all scratched up as well-no problem with the matte. The glossy I had gotten from Office depot (their brand) I put all of mine in between 2 pieces of cardboard and then into a gallon size ziploc. I put them in my carry on.

I print my door signs on regular photo paper and slide them in a page protector with a magnet sheet behind them - for two reasons - I can change signs daily, and the expensive magnet sheet is reusable.

We've always booked our excursions on our own and not through Disney, with no trouble at all. They can be MUCH less expensive. DH's current zipline excursion is the first Disney excursion either of us has ever done.

Can't remember ever having seen a corndog on either ship, sorry.

We bought business card magnets. We're going to cut them into halves (or maybe thirds) and use them on the corners of our door signs. They were much less expensive than the magnet paper!

Good morning,

Okay "Losers" ;) - If you need help with some door magnets or signs - PM me - I'd be happy to help!!!

Lisa
No offense taken but I'm skipping on the door magnets and signs... I'm just too lazy!

Is anyone looking for a Palo brunch ressie? I was trying to snag a dinner reservation and there are no dinner or High Tea reservations available but there are brunches available for Thursday. Just thought I would share.

Have a great evening.
Should have checked this board more often. Just checked and brunch is no longer available. :sad2:
 Aww, gee, you're most welcome.
:thumbsup2
