Oh, hey, before I run off, here's something that's been running around in the back of my mind. Is it possible to link all our reservations so that we get the same dining rotations and sit by each other? I think I remember people talking about that on one of the repos. I'm assuming that we fax in a list that we want linked? And what about families who would like to share a table? Can we do that too?

Uh oh, I think I just heard myself volunteering for something. Actually, I'd be happy to coordinate this as long as we all behave like adults and no one takes offense or pouts because the family they want to sit with has already been taken. Be forewarned, if you do, I'll sic Denise on you. :lmao:

:rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2:
There goes my poor monitor again!

I'd love to do this but I think I'm going to have to pass. Last cruise we were on we had started not going to the dinners because they were taking soooooooooo long. We're just not into the fine dining thing. Pull us up to the trough, let us wolf down some delicious food and then get us back out to the rest of the boat! :rotfl2: Actually, our servers were wonderful last time. One of them saw me at lunch and asked where we'd been and I explained that we just weren't into dinners that took that long and she said they could speed it up. And boy, did they. It was great!!!!!

Anyway, so that's why we're not going to join up with this great idea. We'd be there long enough to say hi and bye and off we'd go.

Now let me go clean off my monitor.

Again.

"my biggest problem right now is - I weigh 30 pounds less than I did in December, so a lot of my stuff has been outgrown (undergrown?), and the rest fits funny. I don't really want to invest much in smaller summer clothes because by next summer they're going to fit funny, too, or hopefully not at all. I did find a bathing suit on our trip that should last me for a few months."

Happy Saturday everyone. DH is watching football and I think I may try and take a nap. I spent yesterday cleaning out our wardrobe - antique walnut dresser thing. I got about 4 bags of "we are not giving this houseroom anymore" items out of the house. Then I got it put back together again and I must say - I am right proud of myself. Although there are two drawers at the bottom of it that I have not touched so guess that may be my big effort for this afternoon. Those that spend the afternoon watching football shall NOT complain about items they can no longer find - at least that is what I always say. ;)

Enjoy your weekend! Nine weeks from today - what will YOU be doing??

LOL Good for you. I love to clean and organize. You gave me a great idea!!! Thanks. I will be doing the same thing soon.

Congratulations!!

DH has a question. He and I were discussing using a small whiteboard for the family to use to note where each person is on the ship at a particular time. He asked whether we would hang it on the outside or inside of the door. I wasn't sure, so he told me to ask my DIS friends. :worship: So what do you do?

Newbie to the FE gifts, but are we "supposed" to label the gifts or that optional?

I believe it's optional (someone will correct me if I'm wrong) but it's a nice thing to do. This way if folks particularly like their gift they can make sure to thank who it's from.

Yup, we'd definitely be interested in joining. We are early seating with a DS 8 (9 - 3 wks after cruise) and a DD 5.

I wish that was my biggest problem. Congratulations!!!! That is a great accomplishment!

We have put one on our door - more a sheet of magnet with the write on wipe off on it. It is a way to leave messages - so long as those in your party will leave a message (oh DAAAAVIDDDDD :rotfl:).

Mornin' all!

Does anyone know if the Alone Time spa offering is in one of those cool rooms with the hot tub on the verandah?

Thanks!!

oh - and doesn't the 14th have a lovely ring to it? maybe we should all get together and do something one of these upcoming 14ths...

Good morning,

Okay "Losers" ;) - If you need help with some door magnets or signs - PM me - I'd be happy to help!!!

Re: Dining Linking - we're already sitting with my BIL & family but would LOVE to join you all if possible.

Have a great day everyone....

We used walkie talkie.

I talked to DCL today and we can link our dining reservations together to all sit in the same area. Further, specific families can link their reservations so that they sit at the same table. I'll collect all the information and then fax it to DCL. If you would like to do this, here are the procedures:

  • I have added 3 columns to the General Info page of the workbook next to the exisiting dining columns.
  • The first is Link General Area Dining Ressies? Put a 1 in this column for yes, leave it blank if no. This means that you want to link your dining reservation with the rest of us in that seating so that we will sit together in the same area of the dining room.
  • If you would like to sit at a table with a particular family, you will first need to arrange that with the other family yourself. Once the families have agreed, then put the last name of the other family in the column titled Name of other family to link table dining ressies.
  • Put your cruise reservation number in the column titled Reservation Number for dining links.
  • The cutoff for this information is Friday, October 16th. As we need to get this info to DCL before they make the dining assignments for our cruise.

Even if you don't make arrangements to sit at a table with a particular family, you can still link your reservations to sit in the same area of the dining room.

I'm putting a link to this info in my signature so that you can reference it in the future.

Good morning,

Okay "Losers" ;) - If you need help with some door magnets or signs - PM me - I'd be happy to help!!!

I do have a question about the door magnets...I actually made a few last week and thought they turned out cute; used the magnetic paper and my fairly decent HP printer. I let them dry for several days before I handled them...but when I picked them up, anywhere I touched them the ink was coming off all over the place. Anyone else have this happen? What am I doing wrong? Or is this just the way they turn out...and if so...how do I keep them looking nice until we're on board? My mickey's ears have all turned gray.

BTW, no one else should feel like a loser...I have:
-not started packing (ummm....don't even own suitcases yet)
-not started my FE, though I did buy the material
-haven't even DECIDED on FE gifts

So I'd better get on it!! :rolleyes1

Hmmmm, not sure what the problem is. Sounds like they haven't heat set enough ... I usually print mine off on cardstock and then laminate them and add a magnet to the back (cheaper for me than magnetic paper).

I hope no one was offended by the "loser" label - I include myself in that group - I too need some more luggage, haven't even thought about what we are going to pack and still need to sort thru the kids clothes - they won't stop growing, no matter how many bricks I put on their heads.....

But the offer still stands, if anyone wants me to do them some signs, just PM me your stateroom#, favourite characters and any special events you would like to share with the people who will stop to look at your gorgeous door!!:):)

Cheers,
Lisa

That is awesome Becky. And I might add - especially those of us that are travelling as couples, more than 2 couples can sit at a table. Or, in the case of 3 families, you can have a "kiddie table". I will go update the spread sheet now.

Is anyone looking for a Palo brunch ressie? I was trying to snag a dinner reservation and there are no dinner or High Tea reservations available but there are brunches available for Thursday. Just thought I would share.

Have a great evening.

I had a dream (nightmare) last night that I was boarding the plane to Orlando only to realize I had forgotten my formal & semiformal attire.

Add me to the loser category. FE has not been started. Materials were purchased, though.

FE gifts are coming out REALLY cute (I hope others agree). Whose DH wanted nothing to do w/this, then got totally involved? That would be mine, too. He cut them and painted them this weekend (ooo... more hints). I've been following the FE gifts thread and thinking mine are a bit simple. I'm going with it, though.

Packing can't happen until night before or 2 nights before.

Thanks for researching the linking of dinner ressies. That section will be the best/most lively!! Can't wait to meet all of you in person.
