Good morning! I have a two questions. First - How do you type in red? Second - I think I counted 2 cabins with diabetics. Is this accurate? My FE gift will involve CANDY and I want to do something special for those who can't have any.

Also - FYI - An extremely reliable source at Disneyland tells me that thefts from the resort pools are VERY common. People leave their wallets/money/ipods/etc..... on their towels while they swim. Local thieves hang out by the pools watching and take the belongings. Also, in the parks, strollers are a huge target. Thieves like to steal the expensive ones like BOB and Bugaboo. They also take the strollers into the restrooms and sort through the belongings before ditching the strollers. Take home lesson - DON'T leave anything you don't wish to donate to criminals out of your reach!

I was reading the urgent post: I was having stressed chest pain! Seriously, thought what I would do in that type of situation. I wanna know where her purse was stolen from in the hotel? If they caught the person. And what I can do so that it doesn't happen to me?

On another note: DH is working hard on our adult FE gifts. Do you think we will end up with 50 staterooms? We are at what, 38 or somewhere along those lines...how many is everyone else planning for?

Really makes you think, doesn't it? Guys have it a bit easier as a pick-pocket would have to lift their wallet to do the damage but ladies, we go to the restroom (my worst fear), set our bags down to eat, lots of stuff that could be really bad. I have a cross-body bag that will be coming as my handbag and once it goes on, it stays on, even on the plane. I also take travelers checks and not a great deal of cash. Just a creepy situation all the way around. I also commend whatever hotel she stayed at to meet her half way to get her the purse. But, I love happy endings and the way this turned out. We all just need to evaluate what we do and change it up some if we even crack a window for something like this to happen.

As far as gifts go - I am combining with the Eastern and rounding up. One of my "ingredients" comes packaged in groups of 10 so there I am. But, if I were on this trip alone, I would plan on 40 at this point but could do more if needed.

My DH would be diabetic so hopefully he is one of the ones you counted. LindaBabe is as well - anyone else??

Me - karaoke - I think not. I do not believe there is enough alcohol on the ship to get me to do that. Even if they passed out earplugs I wouldn't. And believe me, you are all the better for it.

Good catch! I forgot about Tom - bad Gail! There are also some nut allergies that can be pretty scary as well. If you have anyone in your group that has allergies - be sure to note it on the spreadsheet/workbook. And if you are including a food item in your FE gift (or SM) please check to see that all is safe.

Yeah! Just ordered my fish extender from gradysmommy. Asked for a police hat for DH and a nurse hat for me, but don't know if she can do that. I'll keep my fingers crossed. How long has it taken to get these from her?

I am one of the diabetics, but for me, candy actually comes to the rescue when I am running low with my sugars. Don't make something special on my account. Thanks for the thought though...

She made my FE in one day and mailed it the following day. I am waiting for delivery this week! She is really sweet and nice to work with.

Thanks. We had a great time relaxing at a lakefront site and hanging out with friends. And you were not kidding about the 84,000 messages!!!

This will be DS's 3rd 7 day cruise THIS YEAR! The kid will have logged 21 days at sea between his 3rd and 4th birthdays (with 3 days at Castaway Cay). Whenever we ask him where he wants to go, his answer is always "BIG CRUISE."

Lumiere's Luncheon and Secret Mickey Reveal (noon on Thursday)

Yes, my DH Tom is a diabetic.

I am so glad that story had a happy ending. It really gave me chills reading the thread. Someone's Earthly and Heavenly Guardian Angels were working major overtime yesterday.

But it really does serve as a reminder that we must practice (to quote Alastair Moody in Harry Potter) CONSTANT VIGILANCE with our belongings on vacation. Like you Gail, I have a cross-body bag that I use on vacation that stays on me from morning til night. And it rests on my FRONT hip, I don't let it dangle behind me.

We just got home from Great Wolf Lodge. We had so much fun! The water park rocked and we also played MagiQuest (think scavenger hunt with high-tech wands). Of course, had to bling out my wand with a fierce dragon top and a dragon rune. We beat the entire game (including the toughest dragon fight in all of the MagicQuest US locations) and got QuestMaster buttons plus certificates. We were then besieged by Questers all over the hotel asking us questions about the game and tween boys begging us to help them beat the dragon. Of course, my girlfriend and I made their daddies beg us real nice, too.

Good point. Being hypoglycemic on a cruise would be a BAD idea. Well now that brings my diabetic count to 4. Everything feels real now that I am actually getting started on my FE stuff. Got an email from the FE lady - no nurse or police hats. I guess we are stuck with Captain, Princess and Pirate. I'm sure it will be great no matter what (because I had no part in making it!). Hope everyone had a great Labor Day.

Lumiere's Luncheon and Secret Mickey Reveal - I would like to be able to tell them at Lumiere's about how many will be attending but the key here is ABOUT. I know this is vacation and things come up but I think it would be good to let them know an estimate. If you don't show up - don't worry. If you don't tell me and things work out so you can attend - please do. Please update the spreadsheet if you plan on attending - I will take my count from there. Once we board, if it works out so you can attend, just show up - I am sure that they will be able to accomodate us.

I will just use that bag coming and going plus in our ports of call but I don't do anything on the ship, just carry my key card and that is all (unless I am heading to the pool which requires a bag of sorts for book, lotion etc.). We do use the safe in the cabin for wallets and passports.
