So this morning I get an e-mail about the Free Dining now extended to everyone (besides Disney VISA holders) - log into the Disney website and plunk in all the particulars. Manage to bring the price down $300. for our add-on to the cruise. I save the offer because I want to check what price DU can get me.....Then I decide that I might as well book it. Go back to Book it and they have changed the offer to a minimum of 5 nights (we're only staying an extra 3 nights). To say I'm kinda would be an understatement.

Oh well, live and learn.....

It's supposed to debut in October!! Hmmm... I hope it doesn't replace one of the current shows. I had a hard enough time letting go of Hercules!

This is great news! I didn't care for Twice Charmed so hopefully that's the one it'll replace.

Well, I survived wedding #1. Here are a few pics that I have managed to get to Photobucket. I have more to do but this will have to do for the time being. From left to right, the are DS#1, DS#2 (and the groom) and DS#3.

Me too! Only now I have a bunch of returns to do b/c the original way I wanted to do them wouldn't work. LOL DH finaly admitted he's getting excited. That's HUGE.

Welcome to the newbies. I'm fairly new, too. My latest bane of the trip is flights. I'm not willing to pay what they want right now, which could bite me later as costs will probably rise. Ugh!

Just wanted to share my experience about the fuel surcharges....
I had been reading stories about others experiences about getting their fuel surcharges refunded. I didn't even know until last night that DCL had stopped charging the fuel surcharges. I called my TA about it today, and she was able to get me the refund. I consider myself one of the lucky ones, b/c others have not been able to even get OBC. I had booked mine onboard and then transferred to my AAA TA so I could get the rebooking OBC and the AAA OBC.

I wish others luck as well and spreading some pixie dust your way.....it just means more drinking for us

I am booked on DVC points for both cruises so that meant I had to call DVC. They told me that it was not time as the policy says that the refunds are based on the price of oil mid-month (9/17 in our case) the month prior to the quarter the cruise is scheduled. I sort of remember that from before but good for you if you have yours already. Hopefully the price of a barrel doesn't increase as I have budgeted for an OBC for that. We shall see.

That is true about fuel surcharge. As long as the fuel stay's low, then it will be given as obc,and you should know sept.17 if it credited. I just called dcl. that is great. have a great day guy's.

Disney is now offering Free Dining while we are there - I managed to save another $300. At first they said it was only for Disney VISA holders (which we can't get here in Canada) but then they announced today that it was for everyone. YIPPEE!!

Going to start work on my adult FE gifts this week - so many plans, so little time....

Can you believe how fast time is flying??? I need to get it in gear!!

Hey All!

I for one am very excited as we qualified for the free dining! Binky one dont be too discouraged as some of the other boards are saying there may be a room only discount offered shortly or some other incentive. Is it possible to add a couple more days on to your WDW stay? It might not cost you that much more. We for example are staying at POFQ Nov.9-14, 5 day MYW and dining for DH,DD(8) and myself for $1631.67US. Just a thought! Take care everyone and lets hope the next few months fly! I for one am dying to start our Vacation!

We also were able to add the Disney Visa free dining to our reservation and we will be staying 3 pre-nights at POFQ. I upgraded to the Deluxe Dining Plan for only $221 for the 3 of us for 3 nights. Our only OOP expense for our resort stay will be gratuities. Since we go to Disneyland at least once a week, souveniers are not really a priority. Also, I purchased our annual passes at Costco and they each come with a $50.00 Disney gift card that we will be able to use at the resort or onboard. I'm thinking about upgrading to the Wilderness Lodge. Any thoughts on this?

Oh yeah, baby, I'm still here and great news - Tracy at DU managed to get me the Dining deal - some glitch in the Disney website I guess so I did manage to save that $300.!!! My DH was very happy!!

For the first time in many weeks, it is super sunny here today - LOVE IT!!!

That's so awesome for you! I've been holding out until the prices are posted in Sept. The DIS threads on this have said that there is a risk of DCL adding the $$ back in if the pricing is above the limit. I can't see how they can do THAT though. Now I need to figure out how much that would be if we can get the credit. LOL

I have stayed at Wilderness Lodge once. It was great!! I have never stayed at POFQ. Everyone I know loved Wilderness Lodge. We had stayed there when we did MNSSHP, and it was nice having the boat take us back to Lodge.

I was thinking about that too, but just wanted to see want my TA could do before final payment. i believe my difference is about$500. She is resending new paperwork to me before final pmt. Gotta ready to do the ressies online.

Just changed our pre-cruise plans...Instead of offsite at BVS, we booked with the room only discount, POFQ from Nov. 12-14! Oh Yea baby, bring it!

Stayed at Wilderness Lodge loved it! Stayed POR loved it! Stayed at CSR didn't love it at all! Looking forward to POFQ. Any building reccomendations?

Great news for you!!!! We love Tracy too! She is so fast!!! Still looking for a Budget rental car to get us to the port. For 3 hours they want $100. Thought I could do better than that!

I can't tell whether or not there is a fuel surcharge on our reservation. I'm looking at the confirmation and there is a line that says Government Taxes and Fees $237.08, but there is no separate line for fuel surcharge. Does this sound to you like it contains a fuel surcharge?
