That was me talking about June 23rd, but it was Southwest, not JetBlue. Maybe if you call JetBlue, they can tell you when the November dates will open.

I wonder how the swine flu might affect our Cozumel stop. Think we might have a triple dip?

Thanks for the correction!! I think I'll give JetBlue a call.

A Triple Dip - can you imagine!! I think that would be TOTALLY AWESOME!! We didn't get off the boat in Cozumel last time - we were tired, oldest DD wanted to stay in the club, we wanted to relax and the ship was very empty - we loved it. (Nothing against Mexico - have been there several times)

Now, how would we get another scoop of ice cream on our logo?!!?:rotfl::rotfl:

Hypermommy, if no one has offered - I will organize the FE. I am a newbie (no one on our last cruise was interested :confused3) so if others can let me know what worked that would be great. I think I read somewhere of someone making copies of deck plans and highlighting the rooms that were participating - I can do that.....

Cynthia (elderfam) volunteered to do a mini-navigator and this might be in there but I'm not sure. Cynthia?

Oh, I hope we don't miss Cozumel. EM#2 is sooooooo looking forward to doing the dolphin thing and EM#1 is just ate up with excitement over the zipline. I'd hate for them to have to miss their excursions. Hope this thing gets all cleared up before then.

EM#2 was cute last night. He came home from Scouts saying that the troop was going on a canoeing trip in November but that he couldn't go. Now the SM and I have disagreed over some things so I started to get all "momma bear" and wanted to know why he couldn't go. "Because I'll be on a bigger boat." :rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2:

So, DH's passport is now officially Lost. We have torn the house and storage in the attic apart looking for it and can't find it. Heaven knows where he put it all those years ago. But, it turns out that it's not that big of a deal anyway, since the passport had expired and he would have to reapply for a new one anyways. All we have to do is fill out a Lost Passport form in addition to the Application and we're good to go.

I'm going to fill out the forms for all of us this week and then we'll all traipse to the Courthouse on Friday to turn in our Applications. Current application processing time is about 4-6 weeks, so there should be no problem at all in getting our passports by the cruise.

Because the new restrictions requiring passports for entry into the US take effect on June 1st, I'm waiting until the end of the summer(after the big rush) to get our passports renewed. If I take them in person it will only take 2 weeks. DH's and mine are still good til November just in case we want to do any crossborder shopping....

DD8's passport is good til 2011 so that's one less to do. DD3's expired last week. Good thing is that children under 18 can still use their birth certificates...

Cynthia (elderfam) - if you want to put the FE in the mini navigator - feel free!!

BTW - saw the cutest Mickey slippers today in the Avon book - who knew?!!?

Cheers,
Lisa

Jet Blue opens flight dates 6 months in advance, so the flights should be updated in a couple weeks from now since we're 6 months and 14 days out from the cruise. My family has been waiting for this as well since there's a large amount of us going on the cruise, then some of us to Disney World afterwords. Hopefully being at Disney during Thanksgiving will be a good thing!

Thanks for the info!! We plan on staying afterwards for a couple of days at POFQ - just to ease our way back into a Disney-less world....:rotfl::rotfl:

Is being at Disney World ever really a bad thing? :lmao:

And welcome to our little group of cruise addicts... :)

John

Well.. I don't like waiting in line for hours at a time for a single ride so it can be bad in that sense ;)

And thanks to those who said welcome :thumbsup2

Hey Guys, some of you had contacted me when we first started chatting pages and pages ago about pillowcases. If you were one that wanted me to do that for you, I can PM you the link to that thread and let me know.... Thanks for the hugs guys..... Still love my Mouse Peeps... Hey Rookie, I will PM you later.

It's been too long since I've last posted, but I made up for it by again lurking in the shadows. To make up for it, here's what has been up in my neck of the woods.

Firewood harvesting has finally tappered off. Wood pile # 3 ended at 33 feet long, and #4 around 20. That means my dream goal of 125' of wood has been surpassed! In his most recent Email, Mickey said how proud he was of me and even offered a few tips on how to spend this bonus. And it looks like he will see this dough sooner than expected because...

Maybe you heard that Hypermommy was unhappy with her job situation. When she got some interest from a potential employer, it just made her attitude worse. Guess who got to hear about it? Yeah, so I told her if she quit her job (and our majority income), I'd take her to Mickey's house. (OK, not exactly like that, but since this is my version...). Sha-zam! that set her running, and soon enough she had something lined up, only she had to start today. No can do, integrity issues or something. But it was enough to put in 2 week notice, knowing other offers were soon to come. Things looked weak on this last Friday morning (being the end of the 2 weeks), but at 11am the call came. It's only a two week gig, but for a months pay. With the other applications and freelance proposals she has out, I expect we'll be alright.

So that done, a quick trip has been ordered by the King, sans kids. In order to further grace Mickey with as few hundreds as possible, we will do the free it's my Bday deal. So the last weekend in May we will fill her prescription after (gasp) 18 months of not paying a 10 daily parking fee.

But man oh man, has her attitude ever changed for the better! The moral of all this? Of course there's one... When life gets you down, skip the shrink and just go buy a Dole Whip :cool1:.

And finally, a hearty welcome to our new cruising friends. Sorry we couldn't start this party with you, but very little holds this group back. Now that we are nearing the 6 month mark, I hope more folks find us and get involved. We have our own web site and cruise logo. Be sure to check in with our pixie dusters (yes, organizers) for 'registering' and the web address.

Oh what fun we are going to have:banana::banana::banana::banana::banana:

Congratulations to you Both!

I wish my husband would make me an offer like that!:confused3 Life is too short to be in a job that makes you and your loved ones unhappy! Think positive and believe in yourself and amazing things will happen! Good luck in your new ventures and I hope to see you guys on our magical double dip! Have a great time at Disney!:banana:

Marnie

Hey Hypermommy!!
You didn't tell us you were squeezin' in a trip to DisneyWorld!! Did ya think we'd be jealous or something??:thumbsup2 'Cause ya know, we're not really, not one little bit, nope, nada - okay, well maybe just a little, actually alot, um since you're not taking the kids....want to take me instead??:lmao::lmao:

Like you said, doors close and windows open - good luck with your new job opportunities and enjoy your trip with KC!!

Cheers,
Lisa

Hypermommy, that SO rocks!! And KC, you are a real-life King Charming! Props to you. Also, I am very impressed with your uncanny ability to motivate your wife :worship:

Hey fellow cruisers, mrp and I have been busy beavers planning the Saturday DISMeet. Here is what we've come up with so far:

We'll meet in the Promenade Lounge Saturday at 2 pm. I'll bring blank name tags and sharpies so we can create our onboard personas and figure out who's who. After some socializing, we'll have a short program. mrp is creating a DIS Navigator for us that will list the DIS events for the week (Palo brunch, Lumiere lunch, FE stateroom chart, Secret Mickey info, etc), and we'll hand it out at the start of the program. The Pixie Dusters in charge of planning those events will give a brief overview of the plans and answer questions. I'll then do a quick intro of our DIS families and their kids. That way the kids can find the others in their age groups to pal around with, and the adults can familiarize themselves with all our DIS kids. I'll be sure to remind the kids that now they have a bunch of adults who will be watching should they misbehave. :rotfl2:

Around 3, we'll have a Shutters photographer come and take a group picture. That should get us finished up in plenty of time for the 4 pm boat drill.

Only 6 months & 1 week until we party together on the Magic!!!!

Just wanted to let you all no that Jet blue has posted their rates for November:thumbsup2 Has anyone used Jet blue before?:confused3 We have only flown Southwest before and were quite Satisfied but we are always open to change! Found a flight(direct for $89)down to Orlando unfortunately the $89.00 flight back is for 0800am. But I will keep looking! Good Luck to all!:banana:

Thanks for posting this info!!! We're driving down to Rochester - I've got tickets for 4 for $660.(US) - NONSTOP!!! That is an awesome price since to fly from Ottawa to Orlando (with 1 stop) is close to $3000. (Cdn)....

Pretty ridiculous!!
