Hey there, hi there, ho there, all!
Okay, it's the weekend and I finally got some time. My website's pretty well put together now and so guess what I did? Worked on the cruise graphic.
Binky, I really intended on it coming out more like the original but it just kind of took on a life of it's own (graphics tend to do that when I'm playing with them). If y'all hate this then I'll start over and try to keep it closer to the original. I just couldn't find a large enough one for t-shirts (CafePress suggests 10" x 10" at 200 DPI). So here's what I came up with:
If you want to see a full size version of the graphic (so you can inspect the detail, texture, whatever), go
here and click full size.
Now if we want to do some type of personalization I figured out how we could do this at CafePress too. At first I didn't think that would work if we wanted to be able to personalize because CafePress only lets you have one item of each type in each individual store. So I could do one personalized t-shirt but then I'd have to wait for that person to order before I did up another personalized shirt. But, I found a workaround (leave it to a programmer, eh?).... if you open your own CafePress store and feel comfortable giving me the user ID and password then I could upload your graphic and then prepare the shirt and then let you know it's ready. From there you could order it yourself.
That is, if you guys even like the design.
I work for a software company and do support and installations.
If your company is looking for a telecommuting programmer, please let me know. I'm looking for a job that will let me telecommute so I can be home during the day with Eating Machine #1. He's home schooled using Florida Virtual School. So he has teachers and lessons and I don't have to do that. But I've found that he focuses better when he knows I'm home. ;-)
Hi all, I am hoping my family will get to join you on this cruise. You seem like a lively bunch. We were supposed to leave next week for the Western, but 3 weeks ago my sister was in a bicycle accident and was severly injured. She has suffered some head trauma, but the fighter that she is...she is proving to be a miracle. I can't book this cruise yet....we are waiting to see how she progresses, but hopefully we will be able to book at some point. I will be lurking and maybe posting, to think she will be well enough to go on this cruise, is helping us get thru this sad time. Keep your fingers crossed, I would love to meet you all.
Marci
Welcome Marci! Hope you are able to join us! Sorry to hear about your sister. I'm sure she'll end up just fine. God has an incredible way of never giving anyone more than they can handle (although sometimes we wish He didn't think our shoulders were so strong).
Based on experience - our group will continue to change and about the beginning of September on through October we may see a rather large increase. Times are changing though so we may not follow suit. Whatever we do - a cutoff date is needed so shopping and shipping can be done before departures.
I know everyone needs time for shopping and shipping. But last cruise I bought a bit extra. Sure we came home with stuff, but I'd just feel so bad if someone signed up for the cruise after our cutoff and I didn't have something for them. Just my opinion, though... your mileage may vary.
So - if we did both, the Secret Mickey would be just one person in the exchange that you had been assigned to, right? I like the sound of that! I'm in!
Sounds like a plan to me! Of course the FE will take care of itself and I'll tally up the numbers of kids and let y'all know in a bit. Before I tally the numbers, though, are there any parents out there that maybe put no for the FE but might want to change their minds now that it's only kids?
Of course, we'll have to draw names for the Secret Mickey. Does anyone volunteer to collect names and pass them out to folks in PMs so no one will know who their Santa is? If no one volunteers I'll do this but given how often I'm on the boards, I don't know if I'd trust me if I were you
said to me "Wouldn't these be great to give out on the cruise?!?" - a girl after my own heart.
Awwwww... yep, that's quite momma's girl!
ok, dumb question. If we do secret mickey for adults and fe for kids, does that mean I don't need a fish extender? (no kids) I think that makes me feel a little blue
I would advise still having a fish extender. Even if you don't use it to receives presents we found that it sure made it easier to recognize which room was ours from way down the hallway since we could see the FE. I guess that depends which way your door "faces" (fore or aft) but you have a 50/50 chance of it facing right.
Okay... now I'm off to our private boards to see what's been going on there.
