Okay, it's ready...... drumroll please..........
Our photo gallery and forums are ready for use!!!
Send me a PM and I'll be happy to send you the URL. Then you'll have to register for either the gallery or the forums (or both ... sorry... didn't take the time to make just one registration). After that, I'll have to approve your registration. It'd be easiest when you register if you use your Disboard name or tell me in the PM you send what name you'll be using. Also, if you're gonna want your kids to get on the boards or gallery let me know what name they'll be using too. Yes, I could put the URL here... but I'm trying to make this as safe as possible for our kids without having to fuss with a lot of security stuff. So thus this roundabout way of doing things. Hope you understand.
Also... and I have this same disclaimer listed on the home page of the website so make sure you understand this:
This is a private website. To gain access to either the gallery or the forums or both you will have to register and have your registration approved by the administrator. This website is intended only for folks traveling on the November 2009 Disney Double Dip. No one else will be knowingly approved for access to this site. These precautions are for the sake of our children and I believe them to make this site secure enough to alleviate concerns. However, this does not negate your responsibility as a parent. By registering for this site and/or allowing your children to register for this site you acknowledge and agree that Denise Duggan is not responsible for content or usage (although I will try to keep it as safe as possible).
So! Now that all that legalistic mumbo-jumbo is out of the way (hey, whatdya want... my mom was a legal secretary for years and King Charming's dad was a lawyer) y'all come on and send me some PMs and let's start sharing some pictures and plans and everything.
Having the separate forums on our board will probably negate the need for the spreadsheet. But let's use the boards for a few weeks and we'll see. It'll be a group decision.
Also... if you'd like me to add any more categories or forums over there, just let me know.
Oh, and one thing with this photo gallery software that I find kind of wonky: Before you can upload pictures you have to create a album (these default to your user gallery). That makes sense. But the way Coppermine does it is kind of weird. First you create a new album by clicking on the "New" button. Then you rename that new album by typing the name in the box below the "New" button and clicking the "Apply Modifications" button. Then you can add pictures to your album. You can create as many albums as you'd like, by the way (at least I don't think there's an upper limit... guess we'll find out). This paragraph will probably make more sense after you see the photo gallery so if you have any questions after that, please let me know.
