11/14/09 - Special Western - 2 CC stops PART2

Let me see if this helps any...

I sent each member of our thread a PM asking to confirm information. Some may have given me information without updating the spreadsheet. Not to worry though, we will do our best to offer the most up to date information in the Mini-Nav's that are printed for you. (even if I have to make corrections by hand):wizard: I have one per family that I will give out with the lanyards.

If you notice your information is wrong, PLEASE let me know ASAP. I will have my laptop with me and will be able to make corrections until Friday evening.:surfweb:

In case your information changes at the terminal:
Please do not forget that on each deck we will have a message board for you to make / change information. Before you make your fish gift rounds, stop by and update your mini-nav.

:thumbsup2

Hope this helps some...
See you soon!
Cynthia

I didn't get a pm, or at least I didn't see one or else I was delerious and I missed it :confused3 or else you are an anti-yankee fan and never sent one to me ;)

JUST JOKING, YOU DID A GREAT JOB AND THANK YOU

Just read the mini -Nav,
Wow, a beer drinking contest, count me in:dance3::dance3:

I was going to do that cross reference too. However, now you guys have saved me from going crazy. I'll just keep it the way I have it and pretend I have it right (plus throw in a couple extras).

Has anyone looked at the weather recently? I become so obsessed with the vacation weather before we go I drive my DH crazy. :rotfl2: I see that tropical storm now looks like its going into the Gulf. Then I bet it will rain on those of us who are going to WDW a couple of days before the cruise. I guess I will wish for sunshine.

I thought HuskerMickey canceled their cruise months ago...forgive me husker if I'm wrong, but I thought that was why they are gray on the spreadsheet.

OK... panic mode has set in. I had packing nightmares last night & my son's BFF developed a fever last night. I just need them to stay healthy for 2 more weeks!! I'll die if I have to cancel this cruise after waiting two years (that & all the money we'll lose).

Hoping your Disney call is for an upgrade, Tara. I did read on the main boards that someone got a call and the #'s didn't match up with someone else who did get an upgrade. Can't remember who it ultimately was, though.

I've never had to bring our CC cards, so no, you don't have to bring them. Couldn't hurt if you do, though (if you can find them :)).

I have had serious anxiety about the sickness issue. DH was on Tamiflu last week. He is great now, and so far the girls and I are fine. I am hoping we all have a repreave from this swine garbage going around and just sail off into the sunset healthy and happy! Hope we all have insurance just in case...

The weather issue is now on my mind big time...that's all we need...RAIN and WIND!:worship:

We are going off the spreedsheet for FE, but have a few extra. After we make the drop we will drop stuff in other rooms.
We are one adult in room 6612 and one child in 6614 age 3. :hippie:

Got it! Your already in Orlando right? Are you onsite? Does anyone know if wireless internet access is free at POFQ?

No I don't think it's free, I only know it is free for those staying with DVC points. Yes we are here in Orlando. At Food and Wine now. At Saratoga springs it's 9.95 for 24 hrs of use. :hippie:

Major pixie dust for all of you who are sick. I sure hope you feel better soon.

Kevin, special pixie dust for your family. pixiedust: First, tell the school politely but firmly that you appreciate their concerns but the final decision rests with the parents and you will be taking your children out of school for this trip. How frustrating to have 1 parent working non-stop with bosses who renege on promised time off plus the other parent being sick. Aren't your kids old enough to at least pack their own stuff and maybe pull other things together off a list? Use them as much as possible to get ready.

Had a terrific day at Magic Kingdom today. I love getting to the parks at rope drop. It's so much fun to see the opening programs. Plus, you get the bonus of the cast members "waving" you in as you enter the park and walk down the main entrance. They're all out there with big smiles on their faces waving (some with the big white Mickey gloves on) and greeting you.

The park was fairly crowded, but thanks to Tour Guide Mike and judicious gathering and use of fast passes, we never waited more than about 10-15 minutes in line. Loved the Celebrate a Dream parade this afternoon and Mickey's Philharmagic was awesome!

We're off to Universal Studios tomorrow. We hope to ride Rip, Ride, Rocket, the new coaster with a 90 degree lift hill, if the line isn't too long.

Picture of the day. It's the little things along the way that add so much to the day. Tom and Emma playing checkers and Dottie watching while we wait for my name to be sewn on my Mickey Ears.

Thanks for sharing your pics with us...it really is setting the tone for our upcoming trip. Getting us all excited! Sounds like your having so much fun!

I am debating changing our ressie to SS. I am thinking we may get stuck in the resort with the storm that's brewing out there! And I would like to have some more room...have a great pre-cruise vaca!

Tara - If you booked the REAS package the concierge will call you a few days before sailing to make sure you got the Palo reservation you wanted. Just a guess.....

Makes sense, I did book the REAS as a surprise to DH. They never called back though...:confused3

We're playing the 'this time next week' game in our household!!!

This time next week, we'll be taking off on the second leg of our flight to Orlando!!

So am I! today I was talking about I will be on the plane,, we will be arriving in Florida now...etc.

Becky looks like you are all having a great time, love hearing about yours days at Disney and hope you have a great time at Universal tomorrow!

Well, hunting season started today here in ND. So many people are hunting..Mike went but no deer today (that is ok I really do not like it anyway;)) He should be home on Sunday. So I will see if I can get the packing done! The weather was very warm here today, very strange for this time of year.

Well, I am off to bed...good night all!

The weather issue is now on my mind big time...that's all we need...RAIN and WIND!:worship:

I hear you! The very first thing I do every morning is check the weather. Today I got the good news of only partly cloudy on Sat at the port, but it is showing a 60% chance of rain on Sunday in the Abaco Islands (CC). I wonder if we wont be having our DD after all? I'm so stressed!! :scared1:

Hi Tara-

I did as well. Just gotta figure out how to keep all 3 kids at club when needed.

Good morning all-

Just a quick hello before getting ready to get the boys to the soccer field for photos and games today.

Becky-

looks like you're having a great time. My older 2 boys love Universal now-especially the Simpsons ride and MIB. They also like the 2 water rides at Islands of Adventure-don't remember their names.

DH is starting to pay more close attention to the weather too. I'm hoping the weather will be clear enough for our drive to the port Saturday morning. It's about 2 1/2 hrs to the port from our place.

Everyone have a great day. We're almost there.:yay::yay:

I hope it doesn't rain. the first stop to Castaway was supposed to be our "family" day with the boys there The last stop was supposed to be alone time for DH and I (til after lunch anyway).

Good Morning all...

I too am worried about the weather, on our cruise last year the weather was not great but we had an excellent time. We did make both stops to CC (raining some one day) And did not port in Grand Cayman as the seas were rough. We did an unexpected stop at Key West the following day, but we made the most of it.

Can not believe the Back to Back cruisers are boarding today...they should be shortly arriving at the Port. Makes it seem closer when they will also be on our cruise!

I hope this week goes by quick. two more days of work for me then on Weds Pedicures for myself and my girls, figured since they are not coming, we could have a girls day. (helps a little with the guilt)

Well off to buy my Secret Mickey gifts and hopefully pack!

Have a great day all!

I'm so sorry your parents won't be joining us! But it sounds like he's made a good decision - health is too important to mess with!

My parents Judie and David Small in cabin #2646 will not be coming on the cruise after all. My father has been in the hospital for three weeks and is hoping to be able to go home this Sunday. However, he doesn't feel confident leaving the country right away. Anyway....if someone could please erase their cabin from the FE list. Thank you!:worship:

I for one am not worrying about the weather for two reasons:

1. There's not a darn thing I can do about it, so why worry? :confused3

2. We are coming from below freezing temperatures and snow on the ground. Being in Florida and the Caribbean is bad how? :rotfl2:

We had a very special evening here last night. The Olympic Torch Relay for the Vancouver 2010 games was in our community last night.

TorchRelay2.jpg

We took the kids to see the last part of the relay and the festivities afterward (only about 2 blocks from here). A friend of ours was one of the torch bearers and the kids and I got our picture taken with her olympic torch. Very cool!

PiercyFamilyTorch3.jpg

It has been 22 years since the last Olympics in Canada (Calgary) so it was something not to be missed.

One week until we are on Mickey's Boat :banana::banana::banana:

Have a great weekend all!

John
