11/14/09 - Special Western - 2 CC stops PART2

Well, after much discussion in our family, we called DCL to keep our original room...6558. I think it will work out better for us in the end. I'm really only giving my son check-in/out privileges because of the proximity of our cabin to the lab, and he's very excited about the independence. We can do without the few extra feet in the cabin that the cat 4 would've given us...we've never had it before, so we won't miss it! Besides, we're never in there anyway! Thanks for the advice and comments everyone! :goodvibes

We are flying SW from lax. Since I work for them. They will only give small snack bags like 100 cal Oreo or cheese and cracker believe me it's not nearly enough. We always stop at subway before going to the airport. If your transfering airplanes just grab something in between flights.
:hippie: 2 hrs from peace and relaxation.

Good morning everyone!

Well,I had a meeting with the recruiter yesterday. I don't know if I mentioned but last week I sat down the boss at my new job and told him I really needed to know (before signing a lease) if the job was going to go permanent. He said that it was and I felt great! Then a few hours later the recruiter called and wanted to take me to lunch. He'd mentioned wanting to do this before I even got the job so it was probably just interesting timing..... but it was worrisome because all kinds of thoughts started going through my head about how the folks at the job just didn't want to deal with letting me go. Hey... just ask KC how I can fret about things. I'm sure he'd LOVE to tell you that one of his favorite things to tell me is to worry about some asteroid because that would make as much sense as whatever I'm currently fretting about. But it turned out the recruiter just wanted to take me to lunch just like he'd talked about earlier. So that turned out good. Whew!

I had put a letter and boarding passes in halloween money envelopes along with their other goodies. They were so happy that they are going on the Mickey boat (and not have school for 2 weeks.)

Those look soooooo great!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

DD 9 was so excited last night that she had to go sleep on the couch because her head hurt if slept on the pillow in her room. Don't ask - her brand of logic defies analysis

Oh, I really like that girl's logic!!! Imagine her being so wise at such a young age!!!!!!! PS - you're gonna have your hands full when she hits her teen years, you know. :rotfl2:

Hey Lisa - if you're sending Hot Mounties, can I pretend I'm Canadian, eh? :rolleyes1

Um yeah.... eh, take off, hoser (yes... all I know about Canada I learned from the MacKenzie brothers... y'all are welcome to beat me for being so offensive when you see me).

Does that earn me a Mountie? Sheer audacity should count for SOMEthing, shouldn't it?

OK guys, am I crazy? Let me explain first...

No, you're not crazy at all. And I'm glad you made a decision that will enable you to be relaxed onboard instead of stressing. You're right... you'll never miss what you've never had.

Doing the happy dance!:dance3:We got upgraded...did not think it was gonna happen for us

Congratulations!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The mouse family heads out to Orlando tomorrow morning. ... Good night dear friends! Can't wait to see everyone real soon! I'll post some short reports from WDW later this week.

Can't wait to hear the reports!!!!!!!!!! And see some pictures!!!!

Okay, time for me to get to work. No, not the job yet.... still trying to carve out some time to make some repairs on the fish extender. Last year I used hot glue instead of sewing and it started coming apart towards the end of the cruise. I took it to guest services and stapled it and all was fine, but I'm hoping to find some time to actually sew it properly over the next few days (arrgggghhhh, can't say next few weeks anymore). Hope everyone has a magical day!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I CAN TOTALLY understand your worry, Denise! Glad it turned out to be for naught!! I too, can worry about everything - I think it's a side effect of being hyper,

Hope the move is going very well!

Safe journey, MouseMom!

Happy Day, all!

Hi Guys,

PLEASE p.m me if you notice a mistake like a room number or a missing fish. Also remember once you get on the ship, if your room number changes all you have to do is jot a note on the message board on your floor. (Disboard name. old number. NEW number)

Cynthia

What happens if you are the holder of the message board and your cabin number was originally listed wrong?:rotfl: I found it humorous. Just hoping everyone will get the change notification I posted. If not, I'm sure the word will get around. This bunch seems close already.

Just a curious question... How are you all planning on getting your snacks, etc. through airport security? I'm pretty sure the ban on that kind of stuff is still in effect. I'd love to bring some of my own, so inquiring minds and all that. ;)

Last time we flew we were able to bring the food items, but not the drinks. I dont know if things have changed or not. My mom just flew to Taiwan in Sept(Tampa to LAX on American) and she brought her own sandwiches. Hope that helps

Any body know what's playing yet?

I called last week and here is the list I was given:
Christmas Carol 3D, Bolt 3D, Confessions of a Shopaholic, Race to Witch Mountain, Hannah Montana, Earth, Up 3D, The Proposal, GForce 3D, Surrogates, Toy Story 3D

Doing the happy dance!:dance3:We got upgraded...did not think it was gonna happen for us..I even just booked the two day rental yesterday and we were still in 6634 but we got upgraded to Cat 4 8584 today! I was actually looking forward to our secret verandah room...but now I will have a full view!:cool1:

lots of pages to catch up on....my last day of work is one week from today it is getting closer!

Night all!

Congrats on the upgrade! You and Denise/KC and EM#1&2 will be neighbors!

I agree - it is just beverages that they are concerned with. I always fly with some snacks, no issues. You just need to either only drink what they give you on your flight or use the vending machines.

Well, bags are about done (except that stuff you can't do until the last minute) and we leave tomorrow for Nick and Cara's with a Friday AM flight out. I can hardly contain myself.

Have a great day and I will check in later.

So did we, so we bought our tickets home on Saturday as well. Last year all flights from Mco-lax were booked on the Saturday before thanksgiving.
We are leaving this Thursday so that we can catch the last weekend of food and wine at Epcot. We missed it last year so we made sure to catch it this year.
I heard that Nov 10 is when the Osborne Xmas lights and the Holiday parade is going to start, so if anyone will be at WDW before the cruise make sure to check them out. We saw the Osborne lights last year and theyare so great!

As far as food going threw security, you will be fine. All they are concerned with is liquid.
:santa::hippie: no more work so let the peace and relaxation begin!!

So we can bring food from outside (like Subway) in through security? Excuse my ignorance, but we don't fly that often! :-)

OOPs...nevermind! I hadn't read the previous posts before posting this question!!!! Already answered!

Finished my t-shirts - WOOHOO :cool1::cool1:!!

Packing my DH for Sweden - he leaves on Saturday and will meet us in Orlando on Friday. I've gotten over the initial panic and have settled into "I can handle anything" mode - sorry to those of you who were subjected to my anxious postings :rotfl::rotfl:.

Finished my SM shopping today too - things are starting to come together!! Just need to make my lists and I'm all set....

Safe travels to all those heading out and Gail - be sure to get that beautiful ship ready for our arrival!!

Have a great day everyone!!

Lisa

I was making some labels for my FE gift bags and noticed a few discrepancies between the mini-nav and the spreadsheet. Wanted to see if any of you could help me out...

1. different cabin # listed for Bamfield on the mini-nav and the spreadsheet.
2. Big Jack 2002-8 listed as NOT doing FE on the mini-nav, but listed as doing it on the spreadsheet.

Hi, I did some checking and the correct stateroom number is listed in the Mini-Nav as 7546. (per bamfield email) Let me check my notes on big jack 2002-8 and get back to you on it. Thanks for the heads up!:thumbsup2
Cynthia

Thanks, Cynthia! Also, do we have a cabin # for Cruiselovinbunch? They are down in the mini-nav for the FE exchange, but no cabin # listed...and no listing on the spreadsheet either.

My notes have cruiselovinbunch in cabin 2575. I'm pretty sure that's from a post on here recently.

Hi there!

Anyway... I believe I've put things back to right and that these are correct numbers. To answer everyone's first question... no, the FE numbers were not messed up at all so these should be accurate as far as the info we have at this moment.

Fish Exchange
Total Cabins = 37

But I count 44 fishies on the mini-nav. :confused3 Please help a brain dead mommy.
