11/13/04 Eastern Cruise only We Did It

Ok, Ok, I think you have convinced me! LOL I really think it will look cute in the pics too!

Have a great day!

I love Birnbaum's for WDW, get it every year, whether I"m going or not!!!! Can't wait to hear all about the Cruise edition! I may just have to go and get it, even though I just got the Passporter one! Tell us all about it Athene!!! :Pinkbounc :sunny:

I can't wait until it comes in! On the cover of the book it says valuable coupons inside! The parks version of this book has coupons too...
I will let you know when I get it!

we just ordered both of the Birnbaum's books for WDW and DCL. we should get them by friday. we will let you know what we think of them.

I am doing the REAS package so will receive a gift basket - and I will be getting a stateroom gift from Kim at AAA (Thanks Jeanna) ....but I would like to order flowers for my stateroom. I was going to use DCL but decided to give my order to Shirley.

So here is the question (finally, I know!) Has anyone used TPG? And can you 'send' stuff to Shirley to include with your flowers/gift.
I was thinking it would be nice to have a few items - disposable underwater camera, small drink items, and some other fun stuff to go with the flowers but I would like to send them....is this what people do when they refer to sending her stuff to include in the basket/gift????

Or am I mis-reading what people post.

Pat, Shirley will put anything in your baskets that you would like. If it is something special that she doesn't have, then you can send them to her. Just call her shop, she answers the phone most of the time, lol. She will work with you to make sure you are happy with your gift/basket.

We got Sarah a basket/gift last cruise and she loved it. She asked me about Sarah's favorites and made some suggestions about things to include. Very nice lady!

Ok, the Birnbaums WDW guide does have coupons, however, the cruise line book did not. If you haven't bought it yet, you might want to reconsider. The Passporter book went into much more detail. There was very little information in the Birnbaums book that wasn't either in the passporter book or found on the DIS.

I was very disappointed in it. Very small book and nothing like the Birnbaums WDW guide which I love. My advice is if you can peruse thru it before actually buying if possible.

Ok, got to run!

Well, I was going to make this big announcement, but then I'm reading the posts and read:
disposable underwater
Being as tired as I am, I read this to say.... disposable underwear. So, I'm sitting here at 11pm by myself, laughing out loud because Pat bought disposable underwear. I shouldn't be left alone any more.

As for Birnbaum's...my humble opinion is it's one big advertisement (which isn't a bad thing). I like Passporter for it's detail, not to mention it's really the only DCL guide out there. The Unofficial Guide to WDW is the best for WDW. Passporter runs along side, but if I had to choose between the two, UGWDW would be in my shopping cart.

Ok, so are you ready for my big unveiling? (It's not really THAt big, but here goes...)

Let me know what you think! Thanks!!

Vicki, what a GREAT JOB! ::yes:: You should be very proud of yourself! Good luck with your business! However I don't think you will need it, since I noticed that you already have some things "sold out"!!! You sound like you're happy with your new line of work!:sunny:

Good luck Vicki, at least we finally get to see what YOU look like.

Even if it is a teeny tiny picture. LOL:earseek:

Great job with your site Vicki - I think the picture of you and your girls is beautiful! Good luck with your business!::yes::

Thanks for the Birnbaum's feedback, adisneymama (and I'm behind on my posts: glad you're all safe from the most recent storm!). Guess I'll have to wait a few editions for them to catch up in quality. (btw, i've never once used a coupon from my WDW Birnbaum's, none I could ever use).

Monday again....Have a great week everyone!!!:sunny:

I just realized something fun. The Incredibles is opening on Nov 5. Doesn't that mean that they will be showing on the cruise? I told my husband that the vacation is getting more affordable all the time because we'll save the $30 we would have spent to take the kids to the movies.

I also saved $5 on my new black sandals that I'm wearing on Formal night. They are super high though and I don't usually wear high heels, so if you see anyone in a long red dress that keeps falling down, that's me!!

Vicki - Great job on your site, I signed the guest book!

Hi everyone! Happy Monday Morning!

Poohjen - I hope they do improve by the next addition. I love the Birnbaums Disney guide. I don't think I could have done WDW without it with a toddler! I guess I shouldn't have expected so much for a first addition. It is still a good book for someone who doesn't know anything about the cruise line, but to me just wasn't up to Birnbaums standards.

Ok, got to go feed the munchkin! See ya'll later!

Disneydreamer1970 and I are so excited. Can you beleive it? we are below 50 days until we arrive in Disney. Trish and I were watching Football and everytime the Corona commercials came on, we both would mention the White Sandy Beaches, Blue water, and That Hair fellow that takes his shirt off. LOL:crazy:
I hope everyone is safe down south, and look forward to meeting everyone.

Any other FL Residents? I keep hoping a resident rate will come out, but I think it's pretty doubtful at this point? I did a pretend search on the DCL website and lots of categories are completely sold out.
