11/13/04 Eastern Cruise only We Did It

Pat, I'd be happy to follow the leader of the PLap lap Er Club, but don't know who that leader is! Did we vote? Was someone dubbed leader by default?!pirate: Just another thing to notate in the Passporter!! :earseek:

Jen, thanks for the link. I'll get there soon.

Suse, thanks for the relaying the message!! :sunny:

Pat - the word is they were printed today. She will release them tomorrow. They will make it in the mail either tomorrow or more likely Tuesday since Monday is a holiday. Kim should get them by Thursday-ish. Trust me, everyone in her office knows that if they come in and she isn't there, they will hunt her down to get them to us ASAP. We should have them in our own hands early next week. :sunny:

Vicki, if this tells you anything, he takes 6 12 packs per week with him.

Heather, thanks for the link, we got really excited for the kids when we read it, does anybody know when this stuff actually starts.

ATTENTION RADISSON DISERS:goodvibes :goodvibes

I spoke with Shirley, from The Perfect Gift, this afternoon. I told her that we have a DisMeet planned at the Radisson in the pool area around 6:30pm on November 12th, and she said that she would have to stop by to meet everyone.

Holy smokes that's a lot of Mt Dew...I'm going to tell my sister to make friends with John as she's a Dew fan too! ::yes:: :p

I was so excited about all the kids activities. I know the kids stuff starts from day one and I've read not to miss out on the first day as that's when lots of the relationships are made, especially for the 'older' crowd. I wish I was young enough to join in all that fun! But, alas, we'll make our own fun!!

That's so nice of Shirley. And, thanks for the reminder as I keep meaning to call her!!

OH MY GOSH you all make me feel soooooo behind. We don't arrive back in the states until 2 weeks before the cruise so I will be a mess with so much to do. I've got my lists going though so I'll cross my fingers. And Kinko's, excuse me FedEx Kinko's, will have to become my new best friend. :D

And, boy you all have been busy with the posts. You are kruuuuuuuuuuuuuzzz kraaaaaaaaaaaaazzzyyy

Well, who's the one with the Sign????
What sign?! Who has a sign?!? :earseek:

Ok gang, I couldn't sleep and so have been up since 4am trying to package each days clothing for the girls. (I put an outfit for every day in a gallon ziplock, force the air out and then throw it in.) I need some help here.

We have 1. Formal Night 2. Semi-formal Night 3. Pirates/Tropical Night

What did I forget? I'm assuming the remainder of the evenings are just "dress appropriately", no theming. Correct?

I can't believe I agreed to go on a vacation where you need to change your clothes at least twice a day!!! :earseek: What was I thinking?!?!:crazy2: :space:

You guys have gone post crazy! Everyone feeling the panic like me "How can we get it all done with only 5 weeks left????":scared1:

Re: the picture - I took a pic of the Wonder as I rolled by in traffic (it's dry docked here in Norfolk), but didn't know how to post. So Sarah told me to email her and she'd put it on their website. So, no favoritism here! (well, actually, Sarah IS my favorite, since she shares chocolate!)::yes:: :mickeybar

JEANNA!!!! You Tease!!! I WANT MY DOCS NOW!!! Can't you do some Star Trek-y Transporter Thingy?:hyper:

Good Morning....I just finished the final changes to my door signs - will email to KY John....and ask him to also post them to the Hartmann’s Home Away From HomePage ::yes::.

Jen, your signs were really great! Even if you are printing yourself, send them to John to post on the website....I am trying to figure out how to post here.....will work on that little dilema today ::yes:: ......suppose to be a beautiful weekend in NY......enjoy!

Vicki....I sent you my sign,,,,do u want a PLAP LAPer one, too? Try to get some rest.....that's a lot of ziplocks your packing up....yes, other nights are casual....and maybe the girls will want to eat earlier some days and go to the clubs later....it is a go with the flow kind of thing ::yes::

Linda, going to do some glueing this weekend..::yes::

Good Morning eeveryone,

I got my Whale Bag yesterday and it is HUGE, maybe too huge. Vicki, when the bag is full of towels and stuff, is it bulky and awkward to carry around? I was thinking if taking mine to Coral World and Coki Beach but I'm not sure it I want to carry it all that way. They offer a smaller one, Beachy Bag that may be better for me. Maybe I'll see if I can exchange it.

I haven't begun to pack, and fear that I will have too much. Who else is excited to dress for dinner at night? I have a different dress for each night, is this a bit much? I do like the excuse to dress for dinner. Makes it more special to me somehow.

Have a great day everyone. We are off to Panama City Beach this weekend!

Pat, YES, I want a Plap Lap Er Sign!! :sunny: Just how do I get one?!? (And was there a secret code as to who is the Leader of this Banned, I mean Band. lol)

Sue, The Whale Bag is big. I don't know that I'd want to be carrying it around all day long. I love it for getting from point A (the car) to point B (the beach, boat, someone else's pool). With four dd's, it comes in handy for that purpose. Everyone Must have their own towel around here. The people at SaltWaterCanvas are very friendly. I'm sure they'll try and accomodate you any way they can. Perhaps you need two? One for toting all day, one for transporting from one point to another! :teeth: ;)

Thought you'd get a laugh from this:

As you know, the Wonder is here in drydock for renovations. I took a picture, sent it around my office email to taunt those not going on a DCL cruise anytime soon, and here's the guff I got back:

I heard they were taking a look at this ship because the sister ship -Magic- was having so many problems while it was out to sea. The Disney folks thought they might be able to trouble shoot this boat first before hauling the other one in for repairs. The problems include sewage backing up, HVAC systems not working, the stabilization and reverse osmosis systems failing. I have also heard that Mickey and Minnie’s offspring have infested the kitchens. There have been major malfunctions with magic wands and fairy dust causing most shipboard Disney characters to be transformed into little blue Smurfs. In addition, I understand that anyone wishing on a star while on the ship has had the opposite of his or her wish come true. I hope that these problems will be corrected before you go on you trip.

I don't get no respect, I tell ya!

Jen - at least they are still talking to you about it!! My co-workers are just deaf to it. I can talk right to them and they just give me a blank stare... maybe it was information overload... hmmmm :earseek:

Jen - LOL.....

Good morning everyone! I can't believe we are already talking about people receiving their cruise docs! I saw that someone on the 11/6 cruise already got theirs! YIPPEE!!!!

Hope you all have a great Friday!

Too funny, Jen!!!! And Jeanna, I get the same blank stare from my grown-up kids, but at least they have passed the rolling eyeballs stage. ;) :p (I think promising to take them on a cruise in '06 may have cured all that.:teeth: )

Hi all,
Does anyone know if the in room fridges have a freezer compartment. I would like to bring those freezer cooler pacs for my cooler. They are less messy than ice in the soft sided coolers.

Thanks,

-Liz

No freezer, not really a refrigerator,,,more like a cooler....bring gallon size zip-locks and ask your room steward to bring you ice 2 X's per day - put the ice in the zip-lock in the room cooler to keep things cool.
We are also bringing a rolling cooler to use in the room/on deck/on excursions - so the zip-locks will be getting plenty of use.::yes::

Thanks Pat
I wonder if the room fridge is the same as the medical one, My TA requested a medical fridge for each room (AKL & DCL) as I have to bring enbrel injections that must be refridgerated at all times (I have RA). Does anyone know? I would hate to have to worry that meds are not at right temp. (can't go above or below certain temps.)

Thanks,
-Liz

I suspect this will be an additional small frig...as medically indicated - not the same one for my vodka ::yes:: :wave2:

Great, that means more room in the reg. fridge for "fun" stuff.
Thanks!! Well I'm off for the weekend to see the beautiful fall foliage up at our place on Lake Champlain.

Everyone have a great weekend!
