11/13/04 Eastern Cruise only We Did It

Hi Tina ~ we missed you last night!!!::yes:: We had a good time. Hopefully we can chat on Friday...

Sorry that I missed chatting last night. Took mom birthday shopping for my DS, Tyler, at LL Bean last night (open 24 hours). He is going to be 13 the week after next!!! Yikes!!! I can't believe that I am going to have a teenager!!!

I hope that everyone is having a good week and I will try to be around Friday night....you just never know!!

Trish

I miss Freeport Trish!!! (I used to live in Boston; made the Freeport outlets at least an annual event - isn't it funny how you feel compelled to buy a canoe when you are in LL Bean?!!!)

My DS will be 12 in October - he states he'll be a "teen" then and should be allowed in the Stack with the other teens! I, however, am not as anxious as he for him to grow up! (and I know he'll have fun in the lab!).

He's hoping to correspond before the cruise with his future friends, if you and your son are interested. :sunny:

121 days left and 18 weeks

PoohJen - Tyler would like to correspond before the cruise. We are in the process of getting him a new aim name and a new e-mail address.

Have a great night everyone!!

I just got my plane tickets!!!!!!!!
I had been waiting for Southwest FOREVER!

/
Hooray Feenie!

and my DM just emailed me to join her for a WDW weekend in October (she's got some leftover ParkHoppers burning a hole in her pocket!!!) Hmmm, maybe i'll get to start a new counter!:jester:

Jen

Feenie,

That is great!!! I know how hard the wait has been. We gave up and got a great price for Jet Blue out of Boston ($125 round trip). Also, with the changes that Southwest has made the times with JB are better for us. What times are you flying???

Have a great day everyone!!

We paid 210 round trip from Manchester... But it is worth the extra for us. We have a free place to leave our car and family to drop us off and pick us up.
We are going down a few days early and are on the 7:15 am  to Orlando
On the way back we are doing the 11:30 non stop.
I really debated about it, and I feel good about it. Our last trip with very little effort, and as much stalling on the ship as we could manage we were still at southwest counter at 9am. (and this was WITH the disney transportation stopping at 3 other spots first.)

I was sooo happy this morning when I did my morning ritual of checking the southwest site.
:D

"Used this bag on a recent vacation to Disney World in Orlando, FL. Carried sweating cold drinks in the insulated part, and maps, ponchos, cameras, etc. in the other compartments. The bright yellow color prevented people from walking into it while pulling it behind or beside us. It fit in an overhead compartment of a Continental 737-200. Several people stopped and asked where we purchased this item. We told them e-bags.com."

"It works really well. I have it in the back of my vehicle and use it frequently for shopping. When I have cold or frozen items I put it in so it stays good while I continue shopping or until I get home. Works good for vacations, too. I really like the convenience of the wheels."

Seeing as I can't seem to find a way to avoid shopping all together, this idea is a great one!

I've had a rolling cooler I bought at Sam's since last summer. Love it! Actually I have three rolling coolers. Two are the big Rubbermaid ones. I keep one here, one in FL. Big enough to carry a small child on top, sand wheels, perfect for all day outings, or extra cooler storage while camping. Too big for the ship, though.

(I can only imagine some of my cruise buddies camping. )

Do you fold it flat to pack? or roll it right onto ship, filled?

THere's just SO MUCH to learn in the next 119 days!!! ::yes:: :Pinkbounc

Hi fellow cruisers!

Thanks for the tip and the links, Pat. My cooler (and of course, a few other goodies:rolleyes: ) (My name is Linda, and I am an on-line shopaholic :D ) should be on it's way sometime next week.

Tracy, are you the one who was watching "Blow Out"? You got me totally hooked! :p Had to watch all the episodes! ($400 for a haircut:scared1: )

Ed, my dh, is setting up a website for us. I hope it will be up, (at least part of it) by Monday.

Hey would anybody be interested in doing this tour as a group. It costs $20.00 per person and I'm not sure how many people fit into the safari style car, but is sure sounds like a great way to spend a day in St Thomas, kid free.

I have to go shopping here anyway, have to find the Harley Davidson shop to pick up payment for my cat sitter. And my sister wants a shirt from Hard Rock St Thomas.

Just thought I would put the idea out there and see how many of you might want to jump on it.

Check out this site and let me know what ya'll think of it.

Susan, you've got 71 posts already!! You just got your signy!! Where are you hanging out?

Tour looks like a winner, but now that I have Mom and Sis....I don't dear make too many plans without them!

Hope you're all having a great weekend!

Jen, it doesn't fold flat....so you would be rolling it on....actually, it looks just like a rolling backpack many kids now have for school.
So you can use it as a 'regular' carry on bag - just insulated.
We will be putting some beer and water bottles and adult beverages in ours and when we go home, will use it for souveniers or wet stuff.

Thanks Susan, right now haven't decided yet about snorkelingtour or just hanging at a beach. We are purchasing a timeshare on STT and will probably want to check it out while we are there.
