11/10/11- 3-Night on the Dream

This will be the second Disney cruise for our family of five: me, DH, DD 11, DD 9 and DS 7. :dance3: If anyone is booking Comfort Suites and has room for another person, we would love to share the cost. Thanks!

Nice to see so many of us!!! - This will be our first cruise, so I"m pretty psyched. I'm in for the FE!

Anyone doing WDW pre/post cruise? I'm thinking a few nights before w/ MVMCP that Wednesday before we cruise.

We won't be doing any excursions, just going to stay on the ship with the rest of the crowds:rotfl:

This our first cruise too. I can't wait! We are staying at WDW before the cruise for a few days.

What is MVMCP? These acronyms are killing me! We need a key down the right hand side if the page - that would make my life much easier!

Personally I don't much care for acronyms on general principla, abut MVMCP stands for Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party (http://disneyworld.disney.go.com/pa...al-events/mickeys-very-merry-christmas-party/).

Another one you may see is MNSSHP, Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party.

Personally I think the acronyms are TCFW (Too Confusing for Words).

Are the dates out? We are staying at POP for two nights after (before is Jersey week; mad crazy crowded!).

Anybody else having trouble finding decent airfare for this cruise? US Airways - 433.00 per person, Airtran - 371.00 per person, and that's with connections both ways! I'm getting very nervous!!!

We booked out of Allentown on Airtran (I think!) for 10/9 to 10/15 (staying at WDW until Tues.) for about $250 pp. Those are both direct flights. The Wed. gets us in about 8:30, so we're thinking of staying near the port.

The Sunday is what's killing us - wish we could stay over a night, but then we would be adding hotel, so guess we're going to have to suck it up soon.

Check to see what the difference is for one night in a hotel vs. the extra expense times the number in your party; it may make sense to stay extra.

Hi!!!

We are going on our first Disney cruise. It will be myself, my husband, and our two girls (7 & 4). We cannot wait! I feel like I know the ship inside and out because I have looked at it so much!

I am a planning freak and have spread sheets and notes all over the place!

We are flying in on Wednesday and checking out Sea World and then driving to Port Canaveral for the best part of the trip. When the cruise is over, we will be spending one last night in Florida. Not sure what to do on that last day yet... will probably check out one of the Disney theme parks.

We are on Deck 6... cabin 6546.

Very excited to get to know people before the cruise. We might sit next to each other at dinner :)

For my area I have found $198 round trip. I checked other airport within 3 hours to see if the savings would be worth the drive.

The best airlines I have found have been Jet Blue and Delta. Still waiting to see what Southwest has to offer, but they only book until November 4th. I check every day to see what is changing. Haven't booked yet...

Good Luck! It stinks it is such a big expense just to get to your destination!

Air has started to come down from Philly, but not a whole lot, waiting for Southwest to open up, sometimes that makes the others move some, but not always. I talked with the rest of the party, because of work schedules, it's not possible to stay over Sunday. We have cruised many times this particular weekend (teacher's convention in NJ), and I've never had so much trouble with air. I usually have it booked before March, and this is making me nervous - all the cheap nonstop flights are gone already. Guess it's a sing of the times! On the other hand, can't wait to see the Dream!

We finally bit the bullet and booked our air - stinky flights, but the cheapest I could do - we're flying Air tran with plane changes in Atlanta with ways. On the upside, we were able to get a room at Old Key West for on 10 points for the night, so that took care of the night before. Transfers and insurance are now booked, so all we need is to count down the days! Can't wait!

Yay! I finished booking our flights today as well! Feels good to have it out of the way. Ours came to ~$900.00 Round trip Non stop for 4 of us... I was really happy with that!

Waiting on SW to open up their booking window on the 24th.........

:surfweb:

.

Yeah I got impatient... haha. Their prices right before the 4th didn't seem like a better deal than what I booked for so I am hoping I am not kicking myself in the butt!

I tortured myself and checked out Southwest today, saved about $30 per person with Airtran. Only thing Southwest had going for them was nonstop flights.

We are going on this cruise also, our first cruse ever! It will be me, my DH and DS's 15 and 8y 5A ( not sure if that means deck 5 or not) but it is cabin 10018 and I've been reading about fish extenders on the boards and would love to do that!! Congrations on the anniversary's and the wedding, hope I get to catch a bit of it!! And happy birthday too!!
I posted a tread on passporter boards for this cruise also.
