11/06/11 Dream 4 Day

Well HELLO all! Looking forward to this cruise with my family and now I finally have time to come and join you!

:faint:

:lmao:

.

Hello Sister!

and by the way...your countdown ticker is wrong.....

.

.

This morning a thread was posted in the cruise forums about how their "meet" group was more fun and social since they had connected through Facebook and created a special group. That got me to thinking.....
there are quite a few of us dong the 4 Day and then 3 Day back to back.

Would you be interested if I created a group for us to interact on...do many of you use Facebook? I use it daily and think it would be great to have a special group for the B2B'ERS....any suggestions on a name????

I think I'm the only person on the planet who doesn't have a facebook acct. I did once, and got 'found' too much by people I didn't want to accept their 'friend' request, but didn't want to be rude. So I just canceled my account.

Does anyone know if I can make a 'fake' facebook acct and be totally anonymous?

I'm just a posting fool right now...

just to share, my mil has lung cancer (I booked the trip, and right after I booked and paid in full, we found out that it's taken a turn for the worse)... we're hoping and praying for her health. Just so you all know if we cancel last minute, that's why. But if anyone would like to say a prayer for her or just send positive thoughts, I'd really appreciate it. :)

We're all trying to remain positive and continue living and planning our lives, but it's hard at the same time (feeling guilty planning anything, but sincerely hoping for her continued health to hold out for her sake).

I would be more than willing to do one big group. I think we can do a sub-group within the main if need be. I do not want to leave anyone out...just was not sure how much interest there would be.

Name suggestion?

I'm on Facebook daily - would love to join in! Sorry no name suggestions :confused3

Hugs for you and daily prayers for her not to be in any pain and continued health.

Guess I'm on that lonely planet too--no facebook either.

Bravo!

I'm heading out to lead my Sunday morning WW meetings. The topic this week is vacations.

Quite the way to start the week.

I have a member who has so far lost 190 pound and one who has lost 90 pounds. Their lives have transformed remarkably. I have another member who could not walk more than a couple of blocks and is now a walking fiend.

I myself lost 90 pounds, 70 of which were with WW. That was 6 years ago.

This is so cool that we have our own "WW" leader on our cruise. I started WW on Dec 4, 2011 and lost 37 pounds. On April 23rd I was running a 5k and broke a bone in my foot and have not been able to exercise much since then. I have gained back 15 of those 37 pounds since then and have not been able to get myself back on track. Any words of wisdom or suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Last week I started walking on the treadmill and I am slowly adding in light jogging. I have not been able to get to my regualr WW meeting for many weeks now and that is a big problem for me - I need the accountability, so I am starting a new meeting tomorrow morning! I have my tracker out and have tracked (and planned out my meals for the day) everything today. I am taking it one day at a time - I can do this!!!

So how is everyone else doing with their weight loss? Anyone want to post their success and what you are doing to achieve it???

Too scared to get on the scale after the holiday weekend (incident involving maccaroni and potato salad.......) I'll weigh in at the end of the week to allow time for damage control.

I was down 3 pounds as of last Friday.

I have a theory about motivation.

It a lot like well water and a hand pump.

If it hasn't been used for a while, you can pump, and pump and pump and nothing will flow. You have to take a bucket of water and prime the pump to get the water flowing.

Motivation and weight-loss is similar - it takes action to get the the motivation to start to flow.

Similar also to a wind-up radio, it's the physical movement of cranking it to that transforms into usable energy.

Keep tracking. Keep going through the motion one day at a time. Soon you'll really start to feel it and bingo, there will be motivation.

Also take care of your injury and work with your physician. Do the best you can. It's wonderful that you are back on the treadmill, taking it slowly and starting to get back in the saddle. Bravo to you. It sounds excellent to me!

Ian...I've been too scared to look at those! :rotfl:
