Just checking in as I'm heading off to WDW on Saturday with another DISer for 10 days of Disney delights!!! We're staying at Bay Lake Tower and have a lot planned - including meeting up with the lovely Monica!!!

Wait a minute - Am I just gonna miss you by a few days?? Rats!!! I dont arrive until 6/20..stayig at OKW and then Saratoga..
Bummer!!!

OK, it is official! We reserved our stateroom tonight. I will call tomorrow to put in deposit! We are doing a B2B1 Nov 3 3 night and then the nov 6 4 night. I can not wait. I do need a favor though. I am currently going to school and i will be busy with that for the next 11 weeks and will not be able to pop in here on a regular basis, so i need someone to PLEASE if they would be willing to email me on any thing i need to know or info i do not want to miss. I know it is a good ways off but, HEY no time like the present to get things going .... RIGHT!

We'll do that closer in as the birthday group is growing! We'll probably have a couple of tables grouped together. And we can mix it up each night just to confuse our servers!

GEEZ! Finally finished readying the board......Sounds like this is going to be a fun cruise. Ok a list of things i read and want to comment about......

Count me in on Champagne girls Party. I do not drink Champagne but would love to join in.

Celebrations....our 15 yr anniversary is in 2011, we celebrate it LATE in the year because DH is in the military and we know that if we do our vacations in October or November it will not be interrupted by a possible 2 week active training.

ummm....i think there was other stuff i wanted to comment on but that was an hour of reading so i cant remember.

Cannot wait to get to know everyone one!!!!

OH by the way our trip will be our 3rd Disney Cruise, it will be myself and DH, we are childless parents (foster parents). we are doing a B2B nov 3-10. As of right now we have stateroom 7186 on hold until i get in touch with TA to put our deposit down!

My dh and I will be celebrating our 10th wedding anniversary. It is not officially until Dec 22nd but it is what we are doing to celebrate! Does your special occasion have to be during the cruise to let the cruise line know you are celebrating it?

You can pick whatever day on the cruise you want to be your 'celebration' day...just let your head server know and they'll bring a cake to your table at dinner that night.




....have I told you guys the story of our family cruise last September?

When our head server, Ciao Romano, asked us if we were celebrating anything we said yes...a wedding, an anniversary, a retirement, a 50th and 60th birthday...I think his eyes rolled back in his head! I told him we actually didn't want one of the cakes because we planned on trying just about every dessert from the menus. He said he'd just do something special for us on the last night. And he did...an entire (and I mean BIG) cheesecake was brought out. After the 7 of us had a piece (and brother cut one to take back to his cabin) we were still able to share with DIS pals at the next table! It had three of the chocolate banners, one said Happy Birthday, one said Happy Anniversary and the other said Congratulations...so he got the bases covered.

AND ( I forgot) I got the 2011 brochure with the official deck plans, which are a bit different than the online virtual plan. Since my current cabin os on deck 2 and one of the restaurants is also on deck 2, I may request all my meals be there and I won't have to waddle so far to bed.

The biggest difference between the brochure and on line is the on line is not to scale. It's really smooshed. I'm sure the brochure isn't to scale either, but it is easier to see all the rooms.

I bet you could request the same DR, but I was just kidding. I think that would be one request DCL wouldn't honour. I was just thinking of the convenience of walking so few steps!

Needing a little help! My husband loves going on Disney Cruises, however when it comes to things like the sail a way party, pirates party and other exciting celebrations i can not get him into them... any suggestions...any husbands out there that could help me out!

I gotta agree, those are going to be some unhappy sailors in there. Unless there is soundproofing or something. Even if they are not wall to wall, it's got to be loud.
