:cloud9:I'm going to be on this cruise with my best friend for a girls only, no kids, no spouses, no pets get away.:cheer2::cheer2::cheer2:

:) Anyone else? Anyone wanting to do Fish Extenders?

It just can't get here fast enough for me! :)

I have added your thread to the 2011 Dream Cruise meet list :thumbsup2

I just booked this today for myself, DH and DS. I'm a little jealous you'll be traveling w/out kids and spouses - jk. I am actually very excited for this cruise. It will be our second on Disney but obviously first on Dream and first w/ DS. I can't believe how far away it is!!!

I'm just hoping there is stuff for us to do without the kids! I'm kinda worried about that TBH. I've never sailed Disney, DH and I sailed Carnival for our first cruise.

Are you going to be doing the fish extenders?

Don't worry about that - you will have plenty to do. Last time we went on Disney was before we had our son and we had such a good time. The quiet cove pool area is so nice - I've never been on any other cruise that actually enforces the 'adults only' areas. Forget about the blaring music of Carnival - this will be a totally different experience and you will love every minute of it ;)

Just got off the Magic yesterday and have booked this cruise and the 11/10 as a back-2-back. Can't think of a better way to celebrate my 11/7 birthday than to check out the Dream.

It's a long time to wait, but I do have the Panama Canal on the Wonder to look forward to first.

Myelton, I just did a 'girlfriends' cruise and we had a blast!

If you are interested in joining the exchange please email me at dthogue5@verizon.net (please put FE Info in your subject line) the following information

Cabin Number
Names of the Adults in your party
Names, ages and sex of the children in your party.

I propose that we cut off the sign up for participation on October 1st (or about 30 days before our cruise) to allow everyone enough time to prepare their gifts.

I don't want to step on any toes, so if someone else has started collecting this info, just let me know.

Thanks,
Tammy:wizard:

I can also keep a list of participants here (but without personal details) just as a quick reference, so people will know they've sent their info to Tammy and new people can see how long the list is and can decide if they want to participate.

Just got off the Magic yesterday and have booked this cruise and the 11/10 as a back-2-back. Can't think of a better way to celebrate my 11/7 birthday than to check out the Dream.
Awesome! Glad you had a good time! Lucky you though that you get to have a back to back. :) I don't think DH would like it too much if I was gone from home for over a week while he was at home with the kids!:rotfl: They are still young yet and DS is still in the TERRIBLE two's stage. lol

It's a long time to wait, but I do have the Panama Canal on the Wonder to look forward to first.

I'm jealous! Have a great time!

Myelton, I just did a 'girlfriends' cruise and we had a blast!
We are getting excited already for this cruise! This is her first vacation since we graduated high school.
.

Maybe we can all set up a DISmeet!

A DIS meet for sure :thumbsup2 3PM, Promanade Lounge...mark your calendars :rotfl:

Where in Indiana are you? I grew up in Hobart, NW corner of the state.

The first day? I'm in! I'm worse than my kids! Is it time to go yet?:mickeyjum

We are in the Lafayette area. My DH used to work in Hebron though so I know kinda where Hobart is. :D

So jealous you are doing the back to back. I'm tempted but being cautious in case DS doesn't like sailing as much as DH and I do! We are planning a few days in WDW beforehand so that should get us in the mood. As for me, I'm ready to go now!!! :cheer2:

Have you done a back to back before? Now I'm thinking about doing a back to back rather than going to WDW for a few days.

If you've done it can you tell me about the process of getting off the ship to 'check in' for the second leg of the trip. Do you have to wait in a long line? Is it a quick process? How long do you have to be off the boat? Also, do you know if the kids club is open on that day and do you have to re-sign your child up?

Any info you can provide to help us make our decision would be great - thanks!!!

I haven't done a b2b, but friends have. It works best if you have the same stateroom for both cruises, you don't have to pack up after the first one! After breakfast and when everyone is off the ship they have all the b2b people gather and you are escorted into the terminal to check in for the second cruise. You are all escorted back onto the ship and I think the process only takes about 1/2 hour (and it's a great opportunity for empty terminal photos! Cove Cafe is open and the whole family can go there during that time. I know there are some areas off limits and I'm not sure if you can get back into your stateroom till after lunch. I'll ask my friend and verify that for you.

Thanks so much for checking into it. I actually found another thread that answered all the questions but I'm still really torn about doing it. I'm not sure about 'losing' a day at Port Canaveral. I would love to do the 'double dip' 5 night cruise but they are only in the summer and that's too hot for me :scared1:

Wait, wait, wait....you have already BOOKED!!!! This is my first disney cruise though I have toured the ship before when I was a travel agent...I didn't know people were already booking!!!! Is now a good time to get a good deal? I am thinking of booking an outside cabin....has anyone seen the inside ones with the virtual port holes?

Thanks!

SarahMay

I just checked out the dining options...it looks like they have some cool new ones but I don't see anything that does character meals...I wonder if there is going to be one?

The character breakfast that they have on the Magic right now is just done in one of the regular restaurants. Don't think they do them on the 3 day and don't remember about the 4 day. :confused3

I'm wondering when they are going to break down and tell us about the second adult restaurant (it will be on the other side of the ship opposite Palo, rumor is it will be called Remy's and have a French based menu).
