11/06/11 Dream 4 Day

DCL is going to reveal some more info about the Dream on Tuesday! (according to their facebook page)

:thumbsup2

Hi everyone, can I join in? I decided to come out of lurkdom to join this meet thread. Oh, and to test out my new ticker. :3dglasses

I've been lurking on disboards ever since my sister convinced me to try a cruise. We settled on DCL since she hadn't tried them yet and we had both heard good things.

It'll be my family (me, DH, DS-3yo, DD-wee babe), my sister's family (her and husband + 3 boys!) and my in-laws. I'm sure my sister will join the thread too as we get closer.

I managed to snag the two corner Cat 9 rooms on deck 8 for us and my ILs (the ones that look a bit bigger and are HC on the lower decks). I hope they turn out to be good. I'm a little worried because FIL is a little prone to motion sickness and these rooms are all the way forward.

I have to say, the champagne girls sound like a blast! Looking forward to getting to know everyone.

Janet

Welcome Janet! I'm sure your family will enjoy the cruise. Last Nov we had 20 of our family and friends on their first cruise and everyone loved it.

Welcome Janet! I just did a family cruise last September and even those most hesitant about the adventure had a wonderful time.

My pal Monica (mishoe01), who is on this cruise, is doing the Dream maiden voyage, so we will get info right about the new ship!

Hi Janet, welcome to the thread. :) I love your word "lurkdom."

I bet your DS especially with have a great time. My DD was 4 when we first went on a Disney Cruise and I have some wonderful magical memories of her. You are going to have so much fun!

Yay for having an informant! :yay:

UKANGEL, what did your tag say before?

lol I can't remember now Melissa! (been away for a short break and I have a fluffy brain):thumbsup2

welcome to the Champagne Girls!:cool1:

We got our confirmation paperwork today from the TA so it must be official!:dance3:

One week from right now I'll be at the airport waiting to get on the plane to Orlando do begin my transatlantic adventure! :woohoo:

While on board we may be booking a couple of more cabins for this cruise in anticipation of my neice and her family coming along. Since her mom and I will both be on the ship we can divvy up the 50% off deposits without too much of a financial impact AND lock in a 10% discount. :thumbsup2

See you all when we get back!

.

Woohoo! Jackie!:cool1:

Have a wonderful cruise and trip, I shall be able to wave to you from here! Are you going to be visiting London while you're in Europe? I'll think of you!:woohoo:

Hope you get good deals on your other bookings too :)

We fly over to London the day we get off the ship, but are only there for a day and a half. My SIL has never been, so Sunday we will use the hop on-hop off bus so she can see a bit of the city. We will visit Harrods, of course!

Definately do Harrods Jacike....if you can make it for afternoon tea I recommend it! (The Georgian rooms are lovely) Have fun!:dance3:

The other adult restaurant, Remy's, is now showing up on the DCL website map of the Dream. No other info yet, but I'm gussing it will be there soon and probably also announced on the DCL facebook page. :thumbsup2

THREE MORE SLEEPS AND I'M ON THE MAGIC!:woohoo:

Just had to bump this as it was wayyyyy too far down!:thumbsup2

Hope you ladies on the EBTA are having a blast....and that you all manage to get home safely!:grouphug:

I was thinking the same thing...it's been way too quiet on this thread lately.

That's because all the chatty ones are away!:rotfl2:

Busy planning our cruise for this year now, but still excited for the Dream too of course :thumbsup2

Same here, we're looking forward to our Panama cruise! My niece is hoping she'll be 48" before our Dream cruise as she really wants to go on the AquaDuck.

Woohoo! How lovely! Hope your niece makes it to the required height in time for the Dream!:thumbsup2

Wow, the minimum is 48"? I don't think it's likely that DS will make it by the time he's 5, but we can hope!

Here's to hoping both make it. I'm not sure my niece will make it either and she'll be 6. As long as there's a pool and ice cream machine I think she'll be happy.
