11/06/11 Dream 4 Day

Hopefully the snow storm that is going through the east will be OVER shortly, so there is plenty of time for the streets and airports to recover before everyone heads out!.

Did some mending today and slapping of magnets onto door signs (still have two to laminate due to mechanical difficulties). Tomorrow is professional 'grooming' day Have to select my Palo top, was waiting till the last minute to see which one will fit!

Might treet myself to a movie tonight and go see Three Muskateers, since I didn't make it there last weekend.

Hope everyone's final tasks are progressing!

.P.S. Someone help me to remember to put my Netflix account on hold on Thursday!!

Keeping my fingers crossed that the snow is done for the day - 6 inches of the lovely white stuff in October - we had to miss my DD's college soccer game, so bummed we didn't get to see her today. She is not traveling with us next week and I really wanted to see her before we left. We might make the trip on Wednesday to see her to celebrate my b-day, hoping the weather clears up and we can make the trip.

Did all the packing I could do today, just need to add the last minute things on Thursday after the laundry is done and we are ready to go.

Tomorrow my DD and I are going to get pedicures - should be a nice mother/daughter afternoon.

I need something else to pass the time

I'm abolutely exhasuted from today! I feel like I've been packing all day!

For some reason today, or this packing didn't seem as organized as past cruises, and I swear we're taking less clothing!

But at last we're nearly done, just a few more things to do.

Good for you Tammy. I had the DS's take out their clothes for packing, so I guess that is one step closer. I have a box I have to send to SSR so that we won't have to check in luggage. I was going for a pedi tomorrow too, but think I will go later in the week. Hate to wear the flip flops in the snow . Here's hoping that your toes don't freeze tomorrow

I can't imagine being in the snow this early, I hope it blows through quickly for all of you back east. We just came home from seeing Bill Cosby in Sacramento and it's still warm enough for short sleaves.

Tomorrow is laundry, packing and store runs for me. I'm always a last minute packer.

This time next Sunday we will be riding the Aquaduck!
Got my son and I packed officially - I had been doing the toss into the suitcase behind the closet door method, but I got it all out and folded/rolled and it all fit! Hubby is a pilot and he packs his own bag and is a last minute packer so I guess I will just supervise to make sure I like what he brings
I have one suitcase that is just stuff - like fe, fe gifts, gifts for kiddo. I am worried about having enough room to bring home our souvies? It also just seems like a bunch - I need to go back to it and re-evaluate I guess. Anyone else feel like that?

I feel less like that with a cruise than I do when we go to WDW. I usually only end up getting things like shirts on the cruise.

I seem to remember that most often they have a special where, if you buy a certain amount, you can get a DCL rolling duffle at some bargain price. I know we did that on one cruise.

i am a last minute packer.. but i "stage" what I am going to take before..it seems that as soon as the suitcases come out..the cat sits in one with a most grumpy look on her face..as if to say..no one goes anyway unless they take ME!

I have to try on stuff and see what fits.. plus i have been monitoring the WDW weather.. it should be upper 70s/ 60 for the low.

this week will be busy.. hair cut, dentist, clean house, etc..

I'm glad that this weekend is over because I feel like I've been living in packing hell.

Fortunately, next Friday I'll be working from home so there will be ample time to handle last minute stuff.

Bill paying and laundry the rest of this afternoon and evening then I can reward myself with a couple of episodes of Monarch of the Glen on Netflix.

Aw, now I know I have to find some things in the gift shop and get the rolling duffel - then no worries! We are doing 3 days at WDW at the end so the room will come in hand! Thanks for easing my mind Iankh!

OMGosh! You should see my dropped jaw about all the talk of snow! I'm sending some of our sunshine your way to melt it all. Here's hoping everything is cleared up and you have "smooth sailing" to the port.

I'm a "gathering" packer. I put everything on the dining room table, but it doesn't actually go into the suitcase until much closer to departure time. As you can imagine, this is a risky method.

Hey, the next Sunday cruise will be ours!

We watched the Dream sail out of the harbor today - I had tears in my eyes - kept thinking they sail out, come back, sail out, come back then its OUR turn!!!

My dog does not like when we get the suticases out - he seems to sit and pout if that's possible , makes me feel bad, but when I tell him he is going to Mamma's (my mom) he gets excited

The snow melted alot today, but its still around making a huge mess - can't wait to see plam trees on Friday - that's when I know vacation has begun.

Things at sort of an erie calm for us. I think this is the lead up to Friday and then the mad dash to get everything shoved into the suitcases and the worry that no toiletry should be left behind.

Sort of same here, but not by choice. I would rather have all the bags packed and ready to go, but since we still haven't told the kids - I can't exactly pull out the suitcases. Which has me a little stressed.

My saving grace is that my packing list is very precise and thorough AND I have all day on Friday while the kids are at school to get everything done since our plane doesn't leave until 8:30 pm Friday night. I always like when I have all day before a plane rides. Makes me feel like I am not rushed - hence to forget to pack things....

Good luck with the packing on Friday - I would be going nuts too having to wait. Although I think packing all one time is the way to do it. I have been packing and unpacking my suitcases making sure that I have everything

Can't believe it is almost here, my parents fly in today from Phoenix and then my sister and her family fly in from Reston, VA just in time Sunday morning for cruise! So relaxing for us to be here already
