Hello to anyone going on the 11/04/06 Western Cruise. DW & I will be going. It will be our 4th Disney Cruise. Looking to make some friends before the VERY LONG wait ahead of us!!

HI Goofy,
My best friend and I are booked on the same, 11/04/06.This is my first ever cruise and my friends 2nd but first with DCL. I am sooooo excited.
I have been reading the boards everyday and I am getting some great tips and advise. I hope thee will be a DIS meet so I can meet some great people.

Less than 1 year to go - big milestone at our house. First time cruising. Lurking on the DIS cruise board almost every day. Joined by DH (not to sure about the whole cruise thing, guess we'll be purchasing the beer package for him), DS 6, and DS turning 4 on the cruise.

Thanks GOOF62370. I'm betting that as we get closer to the cruise DH's excitment level will rise. Don't think we are going to tell the boys until we are at the dock. They'll be thrilled to go a long plane flight and hang out at the pool/beach the Friday before the cruise, so hopefully the secret will stay secret.

Looking forward to any pearls (ha, crackin' myself up) of wisdom with regards to the cruise, excursions, etc. that this group can share - it looks like there are some experienced cruisers.

I am so excited about my first cruise and its just under a year away. I think I might pass out when I finally board the ship
We live in Alberta, just east of Calgary. We are a looooong way from FL but I keep lurking on these boards and read all the great trip reports.
I go into a "zone" and just imagine I am already there.
Can't wait to meet some of you on board!!

I just booked on the Nov 4th, 2006 cruise. This is our 2nd Disney cruise, we went on the Eastern cruise in Nov, 2003. In my family it is myself, DH, DD14, & DS12. We are going with my mother & father -in-law. Both of my sister-in-laws with their husbands. Their chlildren are D15, D13, D11, S11, D9 & D6.

We can't wait to go. We had so much fun last time.

Welcome to the big group of 16. The group is getting bigger & bigger. Well here we are 1 day closer to a long wait. It was very cold & snowing in Chicago yesterday. All I can think about is the warm rays of Key West & Castaway Cay Can't wait!! Hope everyone is doing well in the group.

Myself, DH and DS (who will be 9 by the time we cruise) will all be joining you on this cruise. This will be our second Disney Cruise. We did the 4 night cruise on Oct 31, 2004 and it just wasn't long enough! We just got back from a 9 night RCCL cruise and decided that no one does it like Disney - so we're locked in for next year already! We're looking forward to meeting lots of fellow DISers!

So when is Thanksgiving in Canada? I am in the transportation industry & ship quite a few packages to Canada, but can't really keep track of all the holidays. Just curious.

Our Canadian Thanksgiving is the 2nd weekend in October. I think its the same day as Columbus day in the US.
We usually have Holiday shopping starting this weekend. Only a month till Christmas!!
Hey, got any snow your way yet? We usually have some by now but it has been mild and above seasonal
Patiently waiting and waiting and waiting.....................................only 342 days to go!

The shopping season kicked in around here too this weekend!! Most of the stores were open up around 05:00 am on Friday. We have had a couple of light dustings of snow, but by the next day it melts again. Our heavier stuff hits right about mid December. Were going to WDW in 14 days, so we'll get our Christmas shopping done when we get back. I guess thats it for now.

Hey y'all.....

I am about to switch our current 10/14/06 (niece decided to have a wedding that day...the nerve!!!!) ressie to the 11/4/06 Western....it will be me, DH and my BIL and SIL....I guess we have to change it since my niece's parents are booked with us!!!

It will mine and hubby's 14th DCL cruise and BIL & SIL 2nd DCL cruise. Our kids who are 21, 20, 17 won't be able to join us as college and teaching will be in the way!! My last cruise was the 14 day August Repo (left hubby and family at home and went with two dear disney friends....we had a ball!!)

I am trying to get some more family members to join us in November.
I am anxiously waiting until 10:00 am CST for Costco ressie office to open so I can switch over to the new date (and $300 price increase over our current date....ouch!!).
