Hi everyone,

I've lurked around here off and on for almost a year now and now that I'm back from my first ever cruise, I figured I should finally register.

My trip on the 4-night, 11/02, cruise on the Wonder was simply amazing! I could definitely get used to cruising.

All of the excellent advice and information I found here and on other sites was invaluable and helped make my trip go very smoothly.

The 11/02 cruise got off to a bit of a rocky start as on our way down to Nassau we ran into a Class 9 gale wind (45 knots!) and 20-25 foot seas. Needless to say, there were a lot of seasick passengers. We spoke with a number of crew members who all commented that it was the worse they'd seen it in several years. We even heard stories of on-duty crew members having to be relieved due to getting sick themselves!

The rest of the trip went very smoothly, despite an occasional passing shower, but temps were always in the upper-70's to lower-80's. Very, very humid, however!

Photos from my trip can be seen here:

<font color=navy>Thanks for your report & great pictures! I really enjoyed looking at those. You have a great eye, and the pics were so clear. :sunny:

I'm so glad you had such a great cruise! Your pictures are terrific. It makes it even harder to wait for my cruise!

Hi Dan. How did you like your room? Was it a good location? Were you close to everything? Did you have a drop-down bunk?

We were on the ship with you. I do remember seeing you after looking at your pictures. Partly because you had one of our favorite servers - Danjel. He is great, isn't he? Glad you had a nice time. Great pictures. c

What great pictures! I'm happy you enjoyed your cruise.

svslerxst -- Beautiful and unique photos. You have a great eye for photography, framing and focus. Thank you so much for registering and sharing them with us!

Thank you for all of the compliments on my photos and "eye". I really appreciate it!

The clarity of the images, can be attributed to two primary things: 1) extremely low noise in the image from the sensor and 2) very high quality optics in the lense.

Also, my camera is 6 Megapixels, so there's a ton of detail captured in each image.

Disjazz: I was in room 6088 and thought it was just fine, right about halfway between the midship and aft elevators. I never noticed any of the people around me or heavy traffic in the hallway, so I guess that's a good thing. This room did not have a drop-down bunk.

dclwdwlover: Wow, someone remembers me from the cruise? I hope that's a good thing! :)

Yes, our table had Danjel for our server and he was simply terrific! Combined with great people at the table, we always seemed to be one of the last tables to empty every night. We just had such a great time at dinner.

So, how did you fare on Sunday night in the waves? I did OK after finally making it back to my stateroom and downing a Dramamine (wonderful stuff!). I was then fine for the remainder of the trip.

Thanks again for the compliments!

Great photos and report. Would be perfect, except for the PATRIOTS shirt.

Great pictures!! Can't wait for our "Magic"al cruise in May. Where did you get the matching tropical outfits??

Dan, the pictures were great. I, too, heard about the rough weather on that particular cruise. Rough night!

Can't wait to go on my Jan. 15 cruise.

Everything looks wonderful.
