11/01/03 Eastern Cruisers, I know you're out there!!!

Bronco joe I have heard that 10/30 is mosre crowded than earlier dates but of course less crowded then Halloween. The best part about 10/30 is that the local children have school Thursday and Friday so I would think many of them won't be there. We had no choice so we picked Halloween.

We are late signing up, but the four of us from California will be joining you!

DH Keith (41)
Me Deb (40)
DS Danny (11)
DS Jordan (10)

Counting down the days!

Deb

Welcome dairyou! Do you have a room assignment yet?

We're having a DIS-board meet between 5-6 on Saturday (come/go as you please) on Deck 7 aft (secret deck).

A bunch of us are also at the Radisson the night before and I think we'll try to get together (maybe a little Halloween fun for the kids)

And we now have 3 Deb/Debbie/Debby's so we're rivaling the Tracey/Tracy group!

Hi,

Thanks for the welcome!

We will be at WDW the week before the cruise. (Have to make the most of our trip from the west coast).

I don't know our room number yet. I'm still hoping for upgrades :)

Deb

bronco joe - the kids look great. can't wait to have my kids meet them... Chris(12) and Cassidy (8) also.

debralisa - what do you have in mind for friday nite? my guys are a little older but your guys might be wiped out. What kind of "T" r u talking about? let me know? definitely interested!!!!!

who's got the official counter? are we at 50 yet?

I think we are at 52 days.
Is anyone doing parasailing? I really want to do it but I am nervous. My dh won't go so i am trying to find someone to keep me from chickening out.
Are we setting the walking time for 8 or9 am? We should pick a spot on deck four to meet atthis way if anyone shows up late we can pick them up as we go around.

Welcome Dairyou and family. Are you doing the MNSSHP while you are in WDW. We are flying in on Oct 28th but we are staying with family in Orlando.
Bronco Joe did you book your tickets?/

Not yet. We still have to see about getting air tix. If we can swing it we will, but it may be a bit of a last minute decision. Only problem is we could end up missing out all together on MNSSHP... We'll see - I still need to get tuxes for me and the DS, too. It seems like just yesterday I was saying, "I've got MONTHS before we have to leave - plenty of time!!!" I can't wait!

Tracy (SweetSpot) We are heading over to Universal too after the cruise, where are you staying? We are staying at the Royal Pacific Resort. We are skipping breakfast on departure day and getting out as soon as we can. The hotel said we could just drop off our luggage and go...

Let me know where you are staying

Also, we are on deck 6 but I forgot the numbers. Myself and husband have a cat 6 and my mom and nieces have a cat 11 directly across the hall

Will update with the numbers

Bronco Joe - Joe, Deanna, Jay (12), and Alexandra (8);

I called the Castaway Club yesterday and still no cabin assignment. Should I be worried?

lruggiero:

We are staying at the Hard Rock Hotel. When I called a couple weeks ago there was only one room in all three of the hotels that could hold a family of 5 so we were lucky to get that. They said they have but can't guarantee connecting rooms. The Royal Pacific looked like a beautiful hotel. Which park are you going to do? Are you staying for more than one night?

Last year we skipped breakfast to get an early start home and were off the ship around 8:30. I think it is only an hour drive to Universal so I'm hoping we can be in the park close to openning time because I just learned they close at 5:30. Has anyone been to Universal and been able to do the park in one day with a front of the line pass?

We are also on deck 8, I have to check the paperwork for the exact number. It is getting so close and I am starting to get way too excited. I can't wait!

Sweetspot You will have plenty of time with a front of the line pass. We went at 10 last November and had evrything done by 6pm(which I believe was park closing. Just do the don't miss rides first.

Emeril's Tchop Tchop at the Royal Pacific is AWESOME (as is Emeril's in City Walk)

Bronco Joe, I bet they're figuring out what's left after preparing documents; I'm sure once they have those ready and in the mail, you'll have a room assignment!

Thank you for welcoming us Dis4me!

No we will not be attending MNSSHP. My kids are 10 and 11, they said they are not too interested and would rather spend that money on the cruise. I think they want more virgin drinks or to play at the arcade :)

We fly on the 27th... wasted day coming from California. We start our WDW vacation on the 28th staying at CSR.

Deb

Thanks for the updates! 50 days is great!!!!!

Welcome to Dairyou-nice to see someone else making the trek from California!! It is a bummer to miss a whole day coming from here so we are going to take a red-eye on the 30th staying at the Polynesian and going to the MNSSHP on the 31st. We will be staying at CSR for one night after the cruise so you will have to give us some tips on your stay there.

Our cabin number is 6570. Looking forward to getting the docs and can't wait to hear about the changes that will be made during the dry dock. I'm sure someone on the first cruise after dry dock will post about it.

Kristina

Masonpips,

I don't know how to update the list, but my sister and her family are in room 8520. Thanks.

I can't wait only 50 days!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Out of sight and out of mind!! I haven't been able to visit in a awhile and we got bumped off the cruise list...boo hoo hoo..but the good news is we are still going! Lookiing forward to meeting everyone.
Cindy

Dry Dock is when the ship goes in for routine maint. and things like carpet etc are changed. I think it last a couple of weeks and the Magic comes back mid-October.

From reading on the boards there will be a couple of changes in regards to the ESPN bar becoming the teen club and the teen club-Common Grounds becoming a coffee bar for everyone and one of the other night clubs is changing to a sports bar.

I'm sure the cruisers after the dry dock will let us know all of the changes before we arrive. :D
