who has done this? we can have an 1100am flight back will they get us to the airport in time after cruise? or else its 70:40pm flight then we sit at the airport al day??

We've made an 11:30 flight and had plenty of time to sit and wait for it. Both times however we were lucky in that the ship got docked in time and was cleared by 8 am. We were also flying American so we got to check our bags/get boarding passes at the pier. Once at the airport we only had to go through the security line.

It can be done, but if any delays hit you could be late.

if your late and miss flight are your tickets good for next flight ? do you pay more? never flew there before thanks for your help

We just got back from the 6/14 Eastern...we had an 11:45 flight..we ate at the continental breakfast that morning, got off soon after8 am and had Tiffany Towncar waiting to pick us up..this saved alot of time with not having to wait for a bus or rent a car. We got to the airport with 1 hour 45 minutes to spare..

Take the later flight, and get a day room at the Airport Hyatt.

That way you can continue the vacation a little longer!

We had to do an 11 a.m. flight once because the prices were outrageous for everything else. It was very nerve-racking! We were using Happy Limo, so we know that we would be able to leave as soon as we disembarked. We kept our luggage with us rather that putting it out the night before so that we wouldn't look for it (on a previous trip, someone else once took our bags by mistake, and Disney wouldn't do anything until every other bag was claimed...I guess they wanted to make sure that ours wouldn't turn up). The airport starts getting very crowded as all the cruise ship passengers from the various cruise lines start arriving, but we made it there before them so the security line wasn't bad. But keep in mind that, in addition to airport delays, the ship can also be delayed in clearance. This happened to us once when the fog was very bad, and we've also had security delays that have made disembarkation start late (like when they upped the terrorism alert level). It's doable if everything goes well, which it probably will, but there is always that chance of delay.

We had a 11:20 am flight in April and was using the Disney transfer transportation. We made it in plenty of time. We waited for our bus to fill, checked in our bags at the port terminal and had plenty of time. You should be fine. We ate the 1st seating sit down breakfast and left shortly thereafter.

We made an 11:30 with almost two hours to spare. We had Delta and checked our bags at the port and then took Disney transportation to airport. This was a week ago yesterday (Sunday - Father's Day). We ate at Triton's for breakfast and it really was easy. I was worried about making that time too, but I think you will be ok. You might check with your airline and ask what happens if you don't make it in, though.

There is always a chance (probably slim) for delay.

Just to add, I was extremely worried about our 11:20 am flight that Disney booked for us. But when I asked, they said the absolute latest anyone gets off the ship is 9am and it is less than an hour to the airport so the latest you should get there is 10am. But if you go to early breakfast or even the buffet, you should make it in plenty of time. If you have the option, check in and check your bags at the port. I figured that way, they would know we were on our way and it makes it much easier when you get to the airport especially if you have kids.

If all goes smoothly as ours did, I see no problem with 11am. provided you have dependable transpo. Our gang woke early, had brkfast, 'Yourride' service waiting... were off the ship by 8-8:30, at airport by 9-9:30 w/32 pcs. of luggage to ck in and a 2 hr wait for our 11:30 SW flight to Md.

Generally our plane leaves Orlando at 10:50. We had a schedule change once and learned about it AT THE AIRPORT - we still made the 9:45 AM Flight without any problems. I wouldn't recommend anything earlier than 10:30 - just because there's a lot to see and do at the airport - love those theme park shops!

We do have a late flight for our August cruise and took the advise of other DISboard members to book a room at the hotel. It was a good rate and yes, the vacation can continue!
